What are you trying to get out of this roll? Otherwise, it's like making a Hunting roll in the wilderness without saying what it's for, or a Courtier roll in court without saying what it's for.

@ Naohiko and Kyouya:

Note that for Kyouya to be granting +1 to Naohiko, she will still need to be handling some tasks so she can spend a void point (to fake a rank), and it has to be significant enough where she would be making the roll herself if she wasn't playing assistant. No roll is necessary but she needs to be playing a very active part per hour. This may result in multiple void points spent, and breaks for meditation rolls. Currently, Kyouya needs to spend 3 void points according to Naohiko's instructions.

It's this complicated since you're having someone who has no idea what to do, trying to help. If she had a rank herself it would be much easier. There is always option B as well.

Option A = Naohiko tells Kyouya what to do and she labors on his behalf.
Option B = Naohiko shows Kyouya what to do and leads by example.

A void point doesn't persist beyond the effect that triggered it. A void point doesn't grant a lasting +1k1 against all enemies in combat. A void point doesn't enhance every poem you write in a session if you're writing for many recipients. A void point doesn't make you a better speaker for a large discussion group but it boosts a short speech.

Namely, you're trying to get an entire hour's worth of benefit from a single void point while doing multiple things during it. I am willing to let a void point reflect that for the primary roller, but you're tapping into knowledge that isn't there. Otherwise, why not just boost Gendo's helper to +1 more due to void?

Having someone trained help you does yield better results than untrained help. To get that+1, you two are gonna need to work for it, which means RP, RP, RP!

The other option is to do the same activity together simultaneously, rather than exploiting poor Kyouya ^-^
