Is it so bad to use the standard options provided? But seriously, this one had escaped my notice. I'd be willing to add favored class bonuses for this one just because it fits with the setting. As far as I've read, though, it seems like this class gets somewhat underpowered at higher levels, since they're stuck with a maximum of 4th level spells, and that's really all they do. Which isn't really an issue if you're okay with that. I guess they get away with casting as many spells as they can manage to pack into a single item in one round, but again, it's still limited by spell level. I'd put a few of my own restrictions on it, too. Whatever device you end up making isn't going to be small and light. If you have to end up carrying a number of devices each day equal to your level, you'd better hope your encumbrance can handle it unless you really are loading as many spells into a single device as you can manage.

[ The Races of Day ]Human Favored ClassesArtificer] Add +1/4 to Use Magic Device checks used on items not created by the artificer. Cleric] Add +1/4 to damage dealt or damage healed by the cleric's domain spells. Dwarf Favored ClassesArtificer] Add +1/5 to the number of times a weird science device may be used reliably per day. Gnome Favored ClassesArtificer] Add a +1/2 bonus on checks made to craft magic items. [ The Races of Night ]Orken Favored ClassesArtificer] Add +1/4 to Use Magic Device checks used on items that were created by the artificer. Hobling Favored ClassesArtificer] Reduce by 1/3 the DC for the Use Magic Device check required for someone who is not an artificer to activate a weird science device (minimum DC 10). I made an announcement in the OOC of the subforum. For those I didn't quote in there, here's your info now. You two are close to starting, but I know you're looking for people to team with you. That's not your fault or anything, it's just gonna slow down your start time. The rest of you haven't finished a character. I've heard some things that were definitive, and other things you haven't decided to nail down yet. Either way, you may have up to two people waiting for you. Don't make us wait too long. wink Any questions you have at all, I'm more than happy to answer them for you.
