F a t e lies ahead Like the sun will rise The light has been gone far too long From your e y e s Λϲє Ace looked at her noticing that she was cold unlike himself and was about to get up and go back inside when she spoke again. He looked at her quietly and shook his head and settled himself down further on the shingles. "I don't doubt that. I didn't doubt that since the second you first spoke of it. I just resist," he shrugged yawning loudly thinking about the note in his coat that he still needed to read. It had everything that needed to be accomplished to get her back to where she belonged. Yet, he didn't want it. He felt like he was capturing her and locking her way by giving her back to her life. He'd always been told the people who know what's best for you is your love. Never yourself. Even if he wasn't her love, he felt that she didn't belong there. He laid there with obvious thought in his eyes that stared up at the sky biting his lip slightly as it seemed he tried not to snarl at his own thoughts.
"We need to get going," he finally said speaking the words as if he barely said them and it hurt to say. He slowly stood up grunting a little as he stood having a harder time balancing himself before he was finally able to stand up strait. He offered his hand out to her to take her back inside to where it was warm and she could get some clothes from Marri and he could get dressed again. He wanted to head out as soon as possible to get this done feeling his heart break already. He didn't need the pain of leaving her any worse than the idea already was. ::=======>> ⅩⅠⅠⅠ <<=======:: The light in your eyes keeps fading out The night's falling d e e p e r the heart Hiding the truth and crashing down My baby's a dancer in the dark

Aesa eyed him skeptically but took his hand anyway, ever so slowly rising to her feet. Once she felt reasonably stable she began the careful journey back to the open window. She spoke to Ace though her focus was clearly on her route back to safety than himself, "And by 'get going' I assume you mean 'get going back to bed because I need to rest Aesa.' In which case I absolutely agree with that assesment Ace." Her palm in his grew clammy, and a thin sheen of perpiration could be seen along her brow despite the cool morning. She always felt she had been somehow lacking due to her fear of heights. It had handicapped some of her choices when learning new and interesting magics - she would never fly though at time she envied the mages that had aquired that talent.

F a t e lies ahead Like the sun will rise The light has been gone far too long From your e y e s Λϲє Ace let go of her hand realizing that it had scared her. He made a mental note not to do that again. He looked back at her though in almost a glare when she pretty much told him to go back to bed. He pulled his boots on and started layering up and pulling on clothes. "No, its means we have to get on the move to get your name cleared. I'll be fine, you won't," he said pulling the note out of his coat and reading it over before putting it back again. He knew she would be mad, but he needed to get this done, he needed to get out. It was killing him to be like this. ::=======>> ⅩⅠⅠⅠ <<=======:: The light in your eyes keeps fading out The night's falling d e e p e r the heart Hiding the truth and crashing down My baby's a dancer in the dark

F a t e lies ahead Like the sun will rise The light has been gone far too long From your e y e s Λϲє "Aesa, I'm fine," he said being sharp, but not cold at all. It had a little hesitation in his voice as if he wasn't sure about it. He stopped himself as he put his hands on the mattress to steady himself before he looked up at her. Closing his eyes tightly he stood up again and pulled the coat off again and the weapons only undressing partially before he just sunk down onto the bed with a groan. He didn't look at her again as he fiddled with his shirt pulling it off again and throwing it onto the floor in a mess. He rolled over onto his back realizing how sore he was from walking around and that he was still really sick. "Dammit," he muttered under his breath before looking at her and he sighed loudly, "how long am I going to have to stay like this? I'm not spending another night here if you expect me to sleep the whole day." He hated being like this and it irritated him that she was right. He'd never gotten this bad before, but he guessed that it all had caught up to him again finally. ::=======>> ⅩⅠⅠⅠ <<=======:: The light in your eyes keeps fading out The night's falling d e e p e r the heart Hiding the truth and crashing down My baby's a dancer in the dark

F a t e lies ahead Like the sun will rise The light has been gone far too long From your e y e s Λϲє Ace closed his eyes but listened to her never the less. He sighed and wrapped an arm over his ribs as they hurt terribly from being smacked around the other night. He never showed the pain the night of it, it always took a day to settle down and now it was killing him. He looked at her cleaning the room and then about to leave him again. He swallowed his pride just before she left to answer her question in a voice shat she would barely hear, but be able to understand, "I don't want it to hurt any more than it already does with just the idea to leave you. . ." Without waiting for her to answer or anything he just closed his eyes again and bit his lip wincing before relaxing and sleeping with his chest rising shallowly and faster than normal.
Marri had been up since the time Ace had since him being so ill hit her along with his stress. She walked around the kitchen figuring that only Aesa would be eating. Just like a mother, she knew that young man upstairs inside and out and knew he wouldn't be eating if he was to sick to be up and moving. If he was, he'd already been down there eating and left, but since he wasn't, nor was Aesa yet, she knew it would be another night here.
Just guessing what Aesa would want, she started frying some eggs, bacon, and a few pancakes since Alex should be there soon. It would be nice to see that girl again and know that she wasn't sick like her older brother. She walked around the kitchen busying herself when she heard the door open to the house.
"Marri!" the small child's voice sang before Alex ran into the house running up to the woman and hugging her close before being picked up and squeeze again. "Marri, I missed you. Is Ace okay?" she asked confused looking at her worriedly before the motherly woman nodded to her putting her down but she put a finger to her lips and quietly hushed the child letting her know that he was sleeping though. She nodded firmly and hopped down running into the living room to grab a spell book and read it even though she didn't understand it and coudn't use magic. ::=======>> ⅩⅠⅠⅠ <<=======:: The light in your eyes keeps fading out The night's falling d e e p e r the heart Hiding the truth and crashing down My baby's a dancer in the dark

Aesa's grip on the handle tightened as she heard Ace's quietly spoken comment regarding her leaving. She looked over her shoulder but he was already asleep, his exhaustion having won this round. Shaking her head she made her way back downstairs to find Marri and discuss what was to be done for the immediate future. The tantalizing aroma of frying bacon assaulted her senses and her stomach responded. Loudly. Before she made her way around the corner to investigate she caught sight of a small someone reading a spell book. Craning her neck to determine who the child was she recognized Alex and smiled instantly. Holding her hands in front of her at her waist she spoke to the little scholar, "Well hello Alex - I'm glad you came."

F a t e lies ahead Like the sun will rise The light has been gone far too long From your e y e s Λϲє "Aesa!" the small child squealed and got up almost dropping her book to hold her close in a hug as if she was an older sister. She looked up at her smiling before adding, "I came over here after Brother didn't come home. He told me to always do so," she explained before tossing her book onto the seat without worry before dragging her into the kitchen. she didn't care if she had other plans, Aesa was coming with her to dinner. That was that. When she'd pulled her into the kitchen, she let go grabbing plates to help set up the table for the three of them knowing that Ace was still sleeping without really knowing at the same time.
"You better keep that boy tied down overnight again. He's still going to be exhausted, he hasn't slept in forever and he got poisoned a little bit ago, he's still sick from it a little. I'm glad you are here to restrain him," Marri said as she pulled the food off of the hot pan and onto a big plate after she found it. She served up the three of them and set them at the clean table and grabbed drinks of wine for her and Aesa while Alex got milk. ::=======>> ⅩⅠⅠⅠ <<=======:: The light in your eyes keeps fading out The night's falling d e e p e r the heart Hiding the truth and crashing down My baby's a dancer in the dark

F a t e lies ahead Like the sun will rise The light has been gone far too long From your e y e s Λϲє {{Sorry for the long time to reply and short post. I was drawing and now I've gotta crash}} "Yeah, a while ago. He'll be fine in a few days. He should have died, but obviously he's not," she said in a rather relaxed voice. She started eating her food and then nodded at her question and made a waving motion. "Just be careful not to break anything or disspell anything already here. Ace growing up here along with Alex, and then them both being here now makes it not very safe. Just make sure you are careful," she explained quietly before drinking some of the wine enjoying the breakfast immensely. While it was simple it was the best kind of food in her opinion. ::=======>> ⅩⅠⅠⅠ <<=======:: The light in your eyes keeps fading out The night's falling d e e p e r the heart Hiding the truth and crashing down My baby's a dancer in the dark

Aesa just shook her head at how casually everyone treated these frequent life-or-death situation that Ace apparently frequently found himself in. The constant violence was apparently status quo in the lowerworld - one of the things her historians had portrayed correctly at least. Finishing her meal with a large sigh of contentment, Aesa went to the business of cleaning up the remains, washing the dirtied dishes and pans while making small talk with the two other ladies. Once done she sat back down at the table and looked to Marri, to set her at ease in regards to her wards, "I will be especially careful of the protections you have in place, Vanha." She used the formal address for an older mage as Marri had certainly earned the title. Looking to Alex she smiled at the young girl and her obvious enthusiasm. "No school today Alex?" Aesa assumed that when they were at Marri's under duress she did not attend any other activies, school or otherwise.

F a t e lies ahead Like the sun will rise The light has been gone far too long From your e y e s Λϲє "Thank you. They are easily recasted, but still, I hate doing so," she said in a song like voice as she put everything up and put some aside for Ace knowing he would be hungry in a little bit. She hoped that Aesa would be around long enough to get him healthy again. it wasn't good how he was treating the mortal body like he was immortal before she looked down at Alex when she was adressed. The small child stop and shrugged before she skipped out and Marri just looked to the heavens with a smile. "No, I home school her while she is here. When he's in trouble, its best she doesn't go any where. They've used her for leverage before and I don't doubt they would again if they had a chance." She stretched her shoulders out quietly and yawning loudly before rubbing her shoulder. ::=======>> ⅩⅠⅠⅠ <<=======:: The light in your eyes keeps fading out The night's falling d e e p e r the heart Hiding the truth and crashing down My baby's a dancer in the dark

F a t e lies ahead Like the sun will rise The light has been gone far too long From your e y e s Λϲє "Marri just gives me books to read. I don't understand the magic ones that well, but the regular school ones are easy," Alex said with a happy smile before she ran out of the kitchen and jumped onto the chair of the couch before picking up the spell book again. She grabbed it and ran back over to Aesa ad held the book up to her. "See? Its so interesting with the foil pictures and drawings, and beautiful script!" she smiled obviously oblivious to the power that is taught in the book. She had no idea how to use them or anything like that, but it was quiet fun for her to learn. "Jack said he understands it and he's done a spell before, but he doesn't like to do them. I don't understand why. He told me that I have to try extra hard and I'll get it though," she said with a frown in the middle of her story, but the joyful smile was back again when she had got to the end about him encouraging her.
Marri looked in the child's direction and frowned at her mentioning of her brother's talent. She knew he hated her mentioning it and hoped it wouldn't cause problems. He didn't go off, but he got dark and wanted to be left alone for hours sometimes days. She just didn't get why the gifted young man had such a problem with it. ::=======>> ⅩⅠⅠⅠ <<=======:: The light in your eyes keeps fading out The night's falling d e e p e r the heart Hiding the truth and crashing down My baby's a dancer in the dark
