you can not take the vows but you can take the shapeshift alternation

What all is in the party currently, or is this more of a "Play together or against each other, whatever" type of thing?

Remind me what/how ECL?

Ecl normally only come into play if you are playing something like a drow, or a race with Level adjustment. Other than that it means build up to that level.

What all is in the party currently

At the moment,
I am a Fighter
Arc is a knight
Seph is a Warblade/crusader
And West is a Dragon shaman

In truth we need a dedicated healer and.or skill user. But play, what you want. if we don't have a healer then we stock up on potions more than normal. If we don't have a skill user then we bash our way though hell.

Dragon shamans are also excellent healers once they reach a certain level(although we are not yet at that level). Until then the Aura of Vigor is invaluable for low-level parties as a support-healing function.
