”Well at least you aren’t stuck here all night.”
He looked at Selena and was shocked for a second, she was crying? Selena never cried not even when she was frustrated. He walked over to her and sighed. He hugged her and rubbed her back.
”It’s ok Selena. Your brother is fine. Right Max?”
He looked at Max; he guessed this was about max.
"And make the best out of it."

 ❝I know I am his sister, and your friend...but I really love you!❞ Max sighed and took one of Selena's hands. "Yeah, Shayne is right. Look at me, I'm fine! I can still...uhm...go to work and school! I promise, you, I am perfectly fine." he said. Selena sniffled and unconsciencely leaned into Shayne. She nodded a little. "It's just...Max...you've always been so...invincible, and now you are hurt...And what makes it worse, mum and dad aren't even here." she said.❝How about you? Do you love me?❞

”Everything ok though Selena. We are all ok and hey I’m here and Max is here. Your parents are just trying to work hard. At least we don’t actually need them here.”
He rubbed her back some more, maybe he should try something different if she was still crying.

❝I know I am his sister, and your friend...but I really love you!❞ Selena nodded a little and wiped her tears away and faced the both of them with a grin. "You're right Shayne! They were never there before, so no need for them to change!" she said happily as the doctor returned."Well then, nice to see you have a ride home. Because if you didn't I would have kept you here another night. You must be his sister...and...her boyfriend?" the doctor said as he shook Selena's hand. Max tried to stiffle the laughter when the doctor had said that Shayne was Selena's boyfriend. "Nah. That's my best friend. Uhm, so I can go doc?" he said with a cheesy grin."Oh sorry sir." the doctor said apologizing to Shayne. "And yes Max, you may. Be careful, try to just kind of lounge for a little bit alright? Here is an excuse from your gym class, and work for a little bit. Your next appointment is next week at noon. See you then." the doctor said as he handed Max the three slips of paper. Then with a small nod, he left them room and a nurse entered with a wheelchair. Max nodded and got out of the bed and into the wheelchair that was waiting with the nurse. "You know what's the best thing about getting hurt? You get pushed out of the hospital in a wheelchair, all they way to your car." he said as the nurse began to push him out of the room and into the hall.❝How about you? Do you love me?❞

☞☞☞Shayne Copper Green☜☜☜ ”I’ll take whatever life throws at me.” Shayne was glad to see her happy, but Max laughed at the fact that the doctor had called them boyfriend and girlfriend. Should he take that as an insult from his friend or a compliment from the doctor? He decided to just let Max be, he was hurt and in a wheel chair. Shayne laughed.
”That’s not fair, you don’t have to walk or go to gym. Maybe I should ask the doc for a gym excuse.”
He said trying to mess with Max, he thought that if he and Max acted like they usually did than Selena would feel a little better about what was going on, so that gave him an excuse to pick on Max.

They made it to an elevator and they began their descend to the first floor. Max chuckled at Shayne's replied. "I do not believe that will work out Shayne." he said with a grin. Then he turned his attention to Selena, "So...what was my favorite little sister doing before she got that horrifying text?" he asked with wonder.❝How about you? Do you love me?❞

☞☞☞Shayne Copper Green☜☜☜ ”I’ll take whatever life throws at me.” Shayne smiled; at least Selena was happier than before. Then he heard the question and waited. They couldn’t tell him could they? If they did Shayne wouldn’t make it out of the elevator. Hmmm that wasn’t true they needed Shayne to drive them home so he was of some value. But once they did get home he would be dead and that was probably a fact at this point.

I got home, turned on some Avril Lavigne or Eminem and rocked out to that while I did my homework. Then once I was finished, I realized it was raining so I grabbed my ipod and went outside to the swing that hangs from the tree, and began to swing and sing. Afterwards, I began to get a little cold, so I went inside and took a nap. Once I got the text, I called the first person who came to mind." Selena said as they exited the elevator and began to make their way to Shayne's car.❝How about you? Do you love me?❞

☞☞☞Shayne Copper Green☜☜☜ ”I’ll take whatever life throws at me.” Shayne ran over to his car to unlock it for the two of them. He opened the door, so he would have to come up with a story too. That’s only if Max believed the story that Selena told. Now where would he put wheelchair boy in his mustang? There were two seats in the back but it wasn’t a four door car.
”Hey wheels how are we going to get you in here?”

❝I know I am his sister, and your friend...but I really love you!❞ With a roll of her eyes, Selena pulled the passenger seat up and plopped down into the back seat. "Dork, he doesn't need the wheelchair. It's just the hospital customs to push their patients out in wheelchairs. Jeez, don't you know anything?" she said jokingly. Max chuckled at Selena. That is her typical day, he thought as he watched her plopped down in the back seat, and insult Shayne playfully. He rolled his eyes and got out of the wheelchair, fixed the seat and sat down.❝How about you? Do you love me?❞

”Well if I’m such a dork how can you stand to be in the same car as me…maybe you should walk home?”
Shayne smirked at her and got into the driver’s seat, shutting the door behind him. He started up the car and buckled up waiting for everyone else who could to do the same,

"Oh I will if you'd like." she said sweetly as she batted her eyelashes, looking into the rearview mirror so he could see her. "Max, could you please get up, it isn't too long of a walk. I should make it back by noon tomorrow. If I don't get kidnapped." she as she slid from the middle seat, to the spot behind Max, to get out.❝How about you? Do you love me?❞

☞☞☞Shayne Copper Green☜☜☜ ”I’ll take whatever life throws at me.” Shayne laughed and smiled when he saw her in his rear view mirror. She was so adorable, but she was still teasing him so might as well keep it going.
”Nope, sorry, too late. You will be stuck in this car with my dork self till we get to your house. Seatbelts everyone.”
He added the last part as he started to back up. Well they were acting normal right? He wasn’t sure what normal was anymore, was it teasing her when he felt like it or was it being nice to her because he wanted too. Maybe it was both, but he still wasn’t sure at all.

But then she went to poking Max, and blowing his hair from behind. Max noticed their odd behavior, but figured it was because they wanted to be happy and funny for him. So he shrugged it off and buckled his seatbelt. He chuckled when Selena brought her teasing to him.❝How about you? Do you love me?❞

☞☞☞Shayne Copper Green☜☜☜ ”I’ll take whatever life throws at me.” Shayne smiled at the two. He wished he had a younger sibling or even an older sibling. Nope, he was stuck all alone with his parents, who he never really saw. All that was left of them was the dishes or a note, other than that he was basically free to do whatever he wanted to. He drove up to Selena and Max’s house making sure to get as close to the door as the street would allow.
”Well here we go, I believe the total taxi fare is $14.”
He smirked at the two of them and stuck his hand out for the money.
