DESCRIPTION
A man who stands, if caught standing, at 5ft10" he is very pale for he spends most of his time inside in his workshop. He has brown eyes and dark brown hair that when untied flows past his shoulders. When in a more formal setting he usually has half of his fringe draping to the side of his left eye while the rest of it would be tied up in a top knot. This leaves the back of his hair to do as it will at the back.

BACKGROUND
Kagae was born into the Kaiu family of the Crab clan where he as all Kaiu's do attended the Kaiu engineering school for his childhood. Here he learnt the crafts of armour and weapon smithing. The grandeur of engineering and history then the revered tactics of battle and Kenjutsu. Then the whispered secrets of the shadowlands and traps.
He passed his Gempukku quite easily in which he designed and built an improved ballista but forgot to hand over the plans for it afterwards and it now sits in a Kaiu workshop being studied to reveal its secrets.
After he passed his Gempukku Kaiu Kagae retreated to his workshop for several years becoming known in his family as a hermit who barely ate or left his workshop. He became quite anti-social during this period due to his lack of interaction with other humans bar any servants that delivered food to make sure he did not starve himself by accident.
All attempts to marry him off failed also due to how distant he seemed always wanting to be back in the warmth of his forge. One day his father came in with great news that Kagae things were packed and he'd go to the Jade tournament to win himself a great status. His knew he'd agree also that it was a great idea no need to say his goodbyes and remember to send letters.

Kagae now found himself with a bit of a dilemma as he couldn't return home until he had attended this Jade Tournament. 'Oh well' he thought to himself as he grabbed his belongings and begun his travels to the Jade Tournament.

You'll have to correct that to include Lion rather than Pheonix. The original Pheonix shugenja I was planning on making turned into a Lion Shugenja with an obvious Kitsu heritage.

Oh, I know! I remember looking at Kojiro's character sheet right after I'd worked out a good part of Kyumi's and then realized that she may turn out to be his opposite. rofl

Again, until I get 'The Four Winds', I can't do a full audit of your sheet. But I can at least get started.

To figure out your Wounds, you multiply your Earth Ring (lowest of your Stamina or Willpower, so 2 for you) by 2 for each level except the last. So, you have 4 wounds for Healthy, 4 for Nicked, 4 for Grazed, etc. 20 for Out. You can take 4 damage and still be "Healthy", but upon your fifth wound, you become "Nicked", moving down to the next level.

To figure out your Attack Roll to hit, you take the combat stat you're rolling (Kenjutsu, by the looks of it; the attack roll for katanas, wakizashis, and no-dachis), add the Trait its based off of (Agility for Kenjutsu). So Agility 2, Rank 3 means you roll 5 dice, keep 2 (your agility).

Your damage is based on the weapon, but you add your Strength to the dice rolled. So katanas are normally 3k2, but your strength is 2, so you roll 5k2 for damage.

UPDATE: 6k2 to attack with Crab Hands.

Make sure to include the penalty for Heavy Armor under your "Other Modifiers"!

Your insight should be 100 (All 5 rings added together, times ten) + 17 (sum of all your skill ranks) = 117.

I'd suggest jotting down what your advantage and disadvantage do, so you and other players will know smile Same with your School Rank 1 ability.

I actually just got an idea for that, although it's something that would definately need to have Rain's permission first.

If Rain disapproves of that idea, and providing Raganui would also be up for it, I'd be willing to have it be the same ancestor.
