None of them had come back yet. Of course she wasn't too surprised. They may have looked rather...odd...but that didn't necessarily mean they were any better then any average animal. Their intelligence was much higher though.... Genevieve folded her dark wings behind her.

I'm through living in sorrow... After her shower and change of clothing, Tessa was feeling much better. Now that she was ready, it was time to seek out this syndicate that was a threat to the hotel. The problem was that when this attack on the hotel happened, Tessa wasn't there, she was meditating to gain control of her powers at that time. She didn't even know what she was looking for, let alone where it was. "Wow...this city sure seems big when you have to search it all for one person...how am I supposed to find any information? I guess I'll just have to ask around..." Tessa started walking around, asking any random person she could find about the people who attacked the hotel. She really wasn't getting anywhere, most of the people she talked to didn't know anything, and the rest just blew her off, not paying her any mind. She had already wasted hours and gotten nothing from it. "There has to be an easier way to do this...maybe there's somebody that knows something...if there was an attack on the hotel, then the police should know something about it, I guess...now to find the police station..." Since Tessa had never really explored the city, so she didn't know where that was either. Luckily for her, she spotted an officer parked on the side of the road. She walked up to the officer. "Umm...excuse me, sir...I'm looking into...err...what happened at the hotel. I'm trying to help bring the guys responsible to justice...erm...I was hoping the police station would have some information..." The silver-haired officer turned to face her with an eyebrow raised. "Its good to see that you're enthusiastic, ma'am, but what would you be planning to do even if you did find the guys? You'd ether get yourself killed or end up killing them, neither of which would end well for you. Listen, we're on the case, just don't worry about it, you'll get into less trouble that way." When Tessa heard the man say they were on the case, she knew this guy had to know something. If she wanted that reward, she was going to have to convince this guy to tell her. "But sir! I...I can't just sit back and do nothing! This is a great threat to the whole city, and I want to help however I can! I can handle myself, so don't worry about me!" The officer laughed to himself once Tessa was done. "You know, you've got a lot of spunk and courage. I wish more people on the force were like you. Well, I can tell if I leave you alone now, you'll keep looking for these guys and get yourself in a mess...okay, I'm about to go check up a lead on this case, and you can join me, but this is just to keep you out of trouble." There was a silent cheering in Tessa's mind. This was going to be her first step towards this syndicate and its leader for her. She was so excited that she didn't see the evil grin on the 'officer's' face as she entered the car.
...Now, it's time for me to just live. (For anyone who doesn't get it, Xavier's the officer.)

Genevieve ran her fingers through her pale blonde hair as she walked. Find some place to sit down until one of them brings me something....She found a bench on the sidewalk and sat down, her wings tucked around her. Where was this guy anyway? Or the better question; who was he? It was hard to tell but it was obvious he had a lot of power judging on all of the men who had come into the hotel that one day.

::Eastwood looked up at a building that was labeled as the police station. He saw people coming and going, mainly officers of the law. This seemed as good a place as any to put in an inquiry...he would just have to make up some excuse for him to be there to find a way into their files. He walked in the front door and looked around, seeing nothing but hustle and bustle here and there. If nothing else it would an interesting day for him...::

(Between work and my responsibilities at home, I haven't had a chance to actually post this. Working full time is tough, especially for a sales rep...) I'm through living in sorrow... Tessa opened her eyes, feeling extremely groggy. She looked around, confused as to where she was. She didn't remember falling asleep; the last thing she remembered, she was sitting in the police car with the officer, and then everything went dark. She couldn't remember anything at all. Now she was in a dark warehouse. Everything seemed to be spinning, her eyes wouldn't focus, and she felt weak and woozy. She thought that maybe she had been drugged. She was sitting on the ground, tied to a pole. Normally, it would have been easy for her to free herself, but whatever she was drugged with was messing with her motor control; she was having trouble moving her body. "W-what happened? Where...am I?" Tessa shook her head, trying to straighten out her vision. There wasn't much she could make out in the dark warehouse; there was some kind of markings on the ground, the glare of something on the ground that had to be metallic, and the officer was walking towards her. "Officer, w-what happened? How did I...get here?" Tessa could see the officer smile as he started to remove his hat. Once he did, Tessa's eyes opened wide. This man with his long silver hair almost completely covering his yellow eyes, the one who had kidnapped and tried to kill her years ago, the serial killer named Xavier Delacreaux. If it wasn't for her powers, she would have already been a victim of this man. "..I'm surprised you didn't notice me right away...I thought I had left a better impression. Though I'll make sure that this time, the memory of me will be burned into your mind for the rest of your life..." Xavier looked down to the watch on his wrist. "...Which will be the next hour or so, so its not an unrealistic goal, is it?" Tessa was a little more coherent, but she still lacked the strength to struggle free. However, she looked up to Xavier, her eyes unafraid of him. "Your're definitely an idiot if you think this time will be different...You already know that my power makes it impossible to kill me. And my power has grown drastically. I could kill you with little more than a thought..." Xavier seemed to be holding six candles and placed five of them around tessa and one right in front of her. He lit all the candles, showing the drawing on the ground. It was some kind of pentagram, a candle at each of its points. "Well, if you can do it, by all means go on ahead. But let me tell you this, I have done quite a bit of research on your 'power'. You aren't the first person to have it, and there is actually extremely detailed information on it. Extremely hard to find, but its there. You see, certain receptors in the brain control the activation of your powers, and confusing those receptors causes you to be unable to activate any of your powers. Usually, keeping someone drunk would be enough to keep their power under check, but a mixture of different substances can cause the same effect while simultaneously causing a loss of motor control. I also found out something else quite interesting...this power can be transferred from person to person. And the setup you see here is exactly for that purpose..." Xavier moved to the edge of the pentagram and began a chant. The regularly orange glow of the candles began to burn blue. Tessa had no idea what was about to happen, but she knew something inside of her felt strange once the candle flames turned blue, it was like something was being drawn out of her.
...Now, it's time for me to just live.

((finally i can do something xd @Riko: in case you don't want me to interfere though i'll take some time to get there.)) There was a soft scuttling noise, then one of the tiny white creatures from before crawled onto her hand. Genevieve spoke softly so no one would hear her. From anyone else's perspective, it would look like she was talking to nothing if she spoke any louder. Genevieve wasn't sure how she would feel about someone else thinking she was crazy or insane, talking to herself, but she decided not to try it. "Imate li nešto za mene?" {translation: Do you have something for me?} The spider-like being quickly crawled up her arm until it got to her shoulder. It leaned in close to her ear and whispered something rapidly. Genevieve nodded. At first it had sounded like just a typical kidnapping. With the large glowing pentagram, however, it seemed like some magic was involved. Of course she wasn't sure if the man who attacked the hotel could use any magic but she might as well go check anyway. Genevieve stood up and the small creature on her shoulder continued to chatter into her ear, telling her where to go. She started forward down the street.

(I'm always ready for someone to interfere with what I'm doing. Actualy, I prefer it, gives me something to respond to other than myself. And I think you should have gotten to Tessa during your last post. Read my post and learn how you're TOO LATE! MWAHAHAHA!!!) I'm not just some killer... As Tessa continued to feel drained, the blue flames of the candles started to grow larger and more fierce. Eventually, Tessa felt completely drained. The usual feeling that she got from her power was gone. The candles then blew out. "Heh heh, now I understand why you would think you could 'kill me with a thought', as you put it. This energy does make you feel...quite powerful. And you, you always wanted to be an average person, if I remember, so now's your chance..." Xavier picked up the metallic item that was on the ground, a long knife, and started walking towards Tessa. "Without your powers, you can die just like any average person. I'll be sure to take my time, so you can enjoy being 'normal'." Tessa began to shake in fear as he grew closer, his eyes and his blade reflecting the faint light in the dark warehouse. Tessa wanted to scream, but she was too afraid to. It was just like many of the other victims in Xavier's past. It was about an hour later that Xavier walked out of the warehouse. He was taking of the police uniform that was now covered in fresh blood, going back to his usual attire. With the power he had now, he no longer had to remain hidden. Even if the police found him, there was little they could do to stop him. Discarding the uniform by tossing it back into the warehouse, Xavier leaned against the warehouse's outer wall and pulled a cigarette out of his pocket and lit up. He always liked to have a smoke after a nice kill. ...I am death itself...(Won't go into the gory details (cause I'm sure doing it is against Gaia ToS) but lets just say if Genevieve were to go into the Warehouse, what she would see would definitely make her puke. Oh no, I killed off one of my characters...see what happens when I'm left to my own devices for too long?)

(( eek wow...i'll still go over there though since i don't have anything else to do.)) Genevieve was a little surprised when her 'puppet' had led her to a warehouse. She could sense that something had happened here earlier though. The tiny creature huddled on her shoulder as it whispered into her ear. "Tamo je čovjek po skladištu." {translation: There is a man by the warehouse.}Whatever had happened before was obviously gone now. There was one presence several yards away from her just like her puppet had said...and the smell of death in the air. "Hello?" Her whispery voice seemed to almost echoe over the empty area.

::Eastwood left the police station with a sigh. That had proved more than fruitless, even after getting more information than a person normal would through some flirting. He scrubbed his white hair vigorously. There had to be a trace of this person and organization somewhere. These things simply did not appear out of nowhere, nor did they fund themselves::

I'm not just some killer... As Genevieve called out, trying to find out who was in the warehouse, Xavier took notice of her. Usually, after he killed one person, he would lay low and not bring any attention to himself, but with his new power, he didn't care who came at him. "Well, what's a woman like you doing in a place like this? Old abandoned warehouses usually don't get many visitors...except the shady kind..." Xavier was making no attempt to hide what he had done or lead Genevieve away from the warehouse entrance. Whatever happened next depended on Genevieve's actions. If she got scared away, he would let her leave without any problems. Most of the fun was in the hunt and mind games anyway, it was a little less special when someone just walked up to you, begging you to cut them open. But is she got too curious, he supposed he could go for some quick seconds. Inside the warehouse, Tessa's pendant began to glow. The glowing energy started to diffuse out of the pendant, spreading around the room... ...I am death itself...

Genevieve could feel the aura from the pendant and, from what she could feel, it was giving off energy. Of course there was no way she could have known that Tessa had just died; or that Tessa had even been here in the first place; but there was a very ominous feeling in the air. It was almost enough to even scare her a little... She heard a man's voice answer her question. "Just looking around..." Genevieve slightly turned her head to the side. It was possible that this man might have something to do with the people that had attacked the hotel. Well...he seemed sinister enough at least. It was hard to tell though just by first impressions. Besides, it was never polite to judge someone right away. "Just as a simple question; would you, by any chance, happen to know something about that attack on the hotel that happened a while ago?"

((Finally got my computer back...hope it isn't too late for this RP... I'm not just some killer... ...I am death itself..."Do I...know anything about the attack? Well, that depends on what you mean about 'anything'...If you mean 'anything' as in 'not nothing', then yeah, I know something. But, if you mean 'anything' as in 'anything useful', then I'd unfortunately have to say no. I don't know anything more than there was an attack." Xavier seemed not to pay much attention to Genevieve at all, though she may have noticed that his hand was tense, like he was just waiting to act. Inside the warehouse, Tessa's pendant began to glow even brighter. The faint light was barely visible from the outside of the warehouse. If one was paying attention, they would notice that grass had started to grow through the concrete and was growing rapidly.
