Amy was starting to really dislike that girl. She did nothing but disrespect her favorite person in the world. She rolled her eyes and stood up to combat her/ "There is no problem with having stringed instruments. It's different and difficult and I think it would be great. it would add flair to the show that hasn't been done before." She sat back down, rolling her eyes and taking out her phone. She shrugged in reality before replying back "That girl buds me...It doesn't matter. Where do you want to go?"

Who is she to diss a good player? Nate looked at his phone before it had even vibrated. He replied with "Yeah she bugs me too...How about........Dairy Queen?" Nate really wanted to say Olive Garden, but it was their first date. Didn't want to come off too strong.

Lyra had to roll her eyes at Kari. She really needed to chill out. "Any art form is about taking old interpretations and making them new. If we stuck with the old ways too much, we might get laughed out of a stadium."
She rather pointedly added to Kari, "Relax. Don't let novel ideas scare you."

Micheal Seth Adrian "Sorry love but I have to disagree with you." Seth said to Addie. "The cello would be a nice touch. It doesn't have to be constant, it'll probably be used only at key points in the show but, it would make us stand out. Don't see it as selling out so much as being innovative. As far as the interpretation of the show goes, why not focus on Eric throughout the show? Slant the tale in his direction. It could make for a pretty dark and novel take on the overused concept." Going on Seth said, "We shouldn't use the musical score either, I don't think. I think something original with slight hints of the melodies in the musical might be better. It'd give us a chance to punch up the music if nothing else."

Kari sent Lyra a curious glance at the comment. What-so Addie could voice her opinions, but Kari couldn't. Jeesh, people really needed to make up their minds. Well-okay. That wasn't very fair of her. Addie was kinda being 'scolded' as well. But still. "I'm just saying," She clarified, slowly. "That if the violinist...or Celloist, or whatever, stayed in the pit, it would be easier. Have you ever seen a marching violinist?"

"I agree with you on that point. After all, that is what I said in the first place." Lyra pointed out. Her bad mood was kinda starting to return. It didn't help any that Mr. Carpenter wasn't regulating the debate between all of them.

Adalyn scowled. "We always have a bass or cello or whatever you want to call it in the pit, but keep them in the background. Why give an instrument that doesn't even belong in band a major role. It could possibly get us disqualified." she countered, getting rather annoyed. "I am not yor love." she told Seth, more annoyed than playful this time. "But buy me flowers and a box of chocolates and we'll talk."

] "Cellist" Amy pointed out to Kari lightly. She was, after all on the same side. "Cellists wouldn't be able to march any way. And a single violin wouldn't be loud enough. It would have to be amped and you couldn't drag an amp across the field. There's no way a stringed instrument could do anything other than pit. I like the idea of following Erik. The actual book is all about him so if we all read it we can get more into his perspective. My only problem with new music is the time it would take to write it." She looked down at her phone and smiled. She was a sucker when it came to sugar and ice cream. "Yea, sounds great" she replied.

((I wish I could see one D: )) ________
Kari bit her lip, and shrugged apologetically at Lyra, then at Amy. "Cellist." She corrected herself, after Amy had gotten done with her comment(s). "Well...what if Whoever played Erik did his own little solo thing? Like-there's been keyboard in pit before too, right? Well, that way, if we do end up doing the Drum Major-play-Erik thing, they wouldn't have to go far, for the amp..." Kari's eyebrows furred, and she shook her head. "Oh, wait no-that was stupid. How would they conduct, then?"

(( I am really sorry guys that i am late and i didn't mean to disrespect Mr.C))
"That would be awesome having DM's dressed up as characters. A Cellist marching would be even great!" She smiled at Amy. "Mr. Carpenter, I am very sorry if I disrespect you. Please forgive me" She apologized.

"Well, Seth you are right, A cello at key points would be awsome. Adalyn you are also right, Giving a non-marching instrument a main part could get us disqualified. However, I have been looking over various rules and regulations, and if we don't overstep our boundries we could add a cello at many key points. Oh and Kari, I have seen many shows where a pit member or a member of the band have taken over as Drum Major pro tempore. There is no need to argue amongst ourselves." 'There, maybe now this whole thing could be a little diverted' Nate thought hopefully. Looking at the reply he smiled and replied "Cool. Pick you up at 8. Where do you live?"

Completely without warning Amy stood up, nearly screaming as she did so. "I just had a fantastic idea! I know it isn't Phantom, and it isn't one of the original three choices but it just hit me." She looked over at Mr. Carpenter, making sure it was ok for her to continue.

David smiled at the girl who was late. "It's ok. Just don't make a habit of it." He was about to call on another student when Amy jumped up. "Yes, continue." He said when she paused.

"Everyone knows who Steven Soundheim is. if you don't you seriously fail. Anyway, he wrote the composition for shows like Sweeney Todd, Assassin and Sunday in the Park with George. Anyway, one show that he wrote was called Into The Woods and it's a great musical about all the fairy-tales like Little Red Ridding Hood three little pigs and Cinderella. Anyway. If we assign a fairy-tale part to each section we could pull of the entire show. Then, when each 'character' wold be singing, a soloist or duet of that instrument could play the 'vocals' i really don't know if that made sense or not though..." She sat down, slightly embarrassed at her sudden outburst but when ideas come, they come.
She looked down at her phone then sent him a text back with her address and the question "Did that make any sense at all?"
