MediaclCunt I actually had a babybat call me a poser before on Xanga. She listened to all Nu-Metal and thought that made her Goth so when she saw I didn't listen to what she considered "dark", she was like, "Oh my God. You're such a ******** fake." and she started talking about how Goth and hardcore she was. Lol. Well, people dont know what real goth is anymore.

I would have to say that I am in the middle only due to the fact that I live in a place where there is no goth clubs and the only store is Hot Topic. Got to love Michigan. If there were I would be a eltiest. I rather don't like baby-bats for the soul fact that around here there are not much elitest around. Just alot of people trying to find the sub-culture and getting lazy or fed up and not trying anymore. Thus looking alot like baby-bats. Sort of like a de-evolution thing. So when peole like myself think that they found some cool and gothy and it turns out to be a baby-bat, sort of gets you bumed. Plus I'm 24, I'm to old to be a baby-bat lol.

I vote that the elite babybats are now called kittens. Semi-serious babybats are puppies, and the rest will remain babybats.
A new animal will be found to represent elitists.

Well, if I were to claim belonging to gothdom (which I don't), I'd call myself a baby bat. Simply because I'm relatively new to the scene, and I haven't the slightest idea how elitist would think of me.
I've been wearing black since I was about... 10 or so. I'm 17 now. I love metal, but I'm not a metal head. I listen to industrial, EBM, metal, techno, rock, and occasionally I'll listen to classical.
My views:
-Marilyn Manson does good cover songs, but I don't like any of the stuff he writes himself.
-NIN is... ok. I only really like Head Like a Hole, The Hand That Feeds, and Closer.
-Cradle of Filth... eh. It's... ok.
-Bauhaus, good but not my favorite.
-Sisters of Mercy, better than Bauhaus, but not my favorite either.
-Depeche Mode = awesome, but I tend to like the remakes better than the originals. (I know I'm a retard for that)
-Disturbed, I love, all their songs are good though they tend to sound the same.
