Silver sighed shaking her head while she headed downstairs and outside. "April?" She called out, but she couldn't see the little girl anywhere. "April?!" She called out starting to get worried as she heard sobbing and rushed over to an alley way. "April! Oh my goddess April! Don't scare me- April, are you alright? Sweetie talk to mommy." She asked, taking the little girl in her arms and held her close. "April..." She said, hearing the little girl sob and cry into her arms. "April..." She repeated gasping when she saw a bruise on her left cheek.
Opal sighed and curled up in the bowl. "Alright... I'll give you your room Vaati..." She murmured, lying her head on her paws and sighed softly. She wished she hadn't done that. She felt extremely stupid.

"I said regular, not screechy!" Saya mumbled. Then she looked back at him. "That was before he was born... Though I don't like that word..." She mumbled, leaning against the wall beside him.
Darious watched April, then watched the shadows carefully. It was Dark's fault, most likely. He did something... He had to have did something.
"Hmmm..." Dark pretended to ponder on the thought, leaving the ReDeads to come closer and closer. When they were about to touch him, Dark suddenly yanked him back into the shadows and back to his little posse.
"Why are you depressed again? It was flipping crowded before you even bothered to come inside. Now get your furry little butt out of that bowl!" Vaati shouted, jumping down to the floor. As much as he loved her, sometimes she did get on his nerves.

The kid was thrown out of the shadows and grabbed by his friends. He looked around and sighed in relief when he found that he was safe and sound. He looked over at April and stood up. Perhaps he might have lucked out. She seemed like a girl that would obey her mother, so maybe he wouldn't have to get hit by her. Of course, Silver would probably scold him, but that was better than being hit twenty times, right?
Sazs raised an eyebrow at Saya. "You don't like the word 'born'? Why's that?" He stood up from his chair and walked over to her.

Ariel had her hands on her knees, sitting like she was properly educated in ethics, though she wasn't. The Kokiri hadn't taught her any more than what was needed (e.g. fighting, cooking, medicine, etc.) and hadn't bothered with the other stuff. The blonde twirled one of her ringlets with her finger, looking over at Seth, seeing that he'd switched positions onto his side. "You shouldn't lay like that, it'll make the time to heal the wound longer," she said before continuing, "Besides, it probably hurts. Right?" she asked, cocking her head to the side slightly.

April looked over at the boy as she turned to him. "He hit me... when I was going to apologize for scaring him... I didn't mean it." April sobbed as she turned back to Silver and Darious. It was strange when April said this. It was like when April became angry her magic suddenly took over to protect itself. She looked back at her mother who was looking straight into the eyes of the boy who had hit her.
"And, where is your mother young lad?" Silver asked, picking April back up into her arms. She didn't blame April for what happened, though she should have stayed in line of sight of the house instead of worrying Silver half to death. She looked down at the boy with narrowed eyes. She looked at the other boys surrounding him as they jumped back when Silver took a step forward. "He's the one who hurt her! We didn't do anything!" The boys cried. "But you were... you were standing off to the side... and probably cheering your leader on... weren't you. In that case, you four were in just as much fault as he is..." Silver said.
Opal jumped down and landed on Vaati's back knocking him to the ground and jumped down on the floor as she sat down in front of him and tilted her head to the side a bit. "Sorry..." She murmured.

The boy lowered his head as his eyes shifted from left to right. "Um... uh..." Of course, the girl's mother was going to want to see his mother. This was not good. If his mother found out about that, he'd be grounded for a week! No, a month, considering the burises he left on April's cheek! What was he going to say to get out of something like that? Maybe Silver would accept to the twenty free hits he promised Dark, in exchange for geting out of that hellish wasteland. "Ehh... I... I'm sorry... She can hit me twenty times to make up for it!" He would rather explain the bruises to his mother, rather than explain why he hit a girl.

"I think I'd rather see your mother..." Silver said, looking down at the boy as April held onto her mother neck. Silver sighed and placed April on the ground as she girl clung to her leg as Silver walked over and grabbed the boy's ear and pulled it upwards. "Alright boy, I wish to speak with your mother... now I suggest you lead me to your house, or I'll find it myself..." Silver growled in a low voice.

(I think I'll leave the boy's mother's part up to you. You can decide what his punishment is. ^_^)
The boy cried out as Silver pulled his ear. "Ow! Alright, alright! I'll show you to my mom!" He tried to grab Silver's hand to stop her from pulling so hard. When she finally let go, he walked down the street, hanging his head low.

Silver nodded, glancing back at April and picked her up again as she followed the boy back to him home with April in her arms. She followed after him and entered a well fit home. She looked around putting April down as the little girl clung to her leg once more looking around the home. Silver looked up seeing a woman around the same age as Silver walk up to her. She had long frizzy brown hair and hazel green eyes.
"Oh hello Silver it's so nice to see you again!"
"Ruby! Long time no see, I haven't seen you since you work at the castle as a maid. How have you been?"
"Oh around the place, but I have a son to raise so I don't get out much, what about you, I haven't seen you in the castle for a long time."
"I know how you feel, this is my daughter April."
"Hi there sweety, aw, she looks so much like you Silver! Who's her father?"
Silver looked away when Ruby asked as the woman sighed, "I'm sorry, I didn't know, I'm terribly sorry for your loss..."
"Yes, well, actually I'm not here to chat Ruby, actually I'm here to talk about a little fight your son and April had just a while ago."
"Oh?" Ruby said, turning to the boy and crossing her arms. "What he do this time?"
"Well, you see my daughter must have done something to anger him... so she went to apologize, and... well for some reason this gave him to hit April..."
"Oh Jim! Not again, and a girl?! For Pete sakes what would your father say?! I'm so sorry Silver, he's been getting these silly idea's from this group he hangs out with, I'll make sure he won't see outside for a long time..." Ruby said turning over to him. "Oh, and it was nice seeing you again Silver, and nice to meet you April. C'mon Jim, we're going to have a nice long talk about how you treat others..." She said grabbing his hand and walking off.

Dark appeared next to Darious with a sly smile. Darious raised his eyebrows at him. "What did you do to him, Dark. I've never seen a child act like that before."
"He knows that zombies exist now." Dark answered with a laugh.
Vaati shook his head as he picked himself off the floor with another sneeze. "It's alright. You didn't mean it." He murmured, sneezing again. "Let's just go back to the fireplace."
"It just don't seem right, does it? I don't even know how he survived long enough to even be born. I never ate, for goodness sakes." Saya mumbled. Seth was certainly a miracle and the fact that Sazs took a liking to him was simply another miracle.

Silver walked outside as she looked over at Dark and Darious as she held April's hand. "All settled, I was glad it was someone I knew..." She said, leading April home, "Come sweetheart, let's get something on that bruise..." She said. Leading April back into the home and looked over at Darious then down at Dark, she didn't even want to ask what Dark did.
Opal nodded her ears folding when she heard him sneeze. "Bless you." She said, walking back over to the fire place to see Elzo curled up and fallen asleep. She laid down down curled up on him and started to fall asleep again.

Sazs shook his head. "He is half shadow, after all. It shouldn't be that surprising that he survived." He looked over at the sleeping Seth again and shrugged. He didn't really see a point to question miracles. The fact was that Saya liked Seth and the baby finally found a father. Why should anything about that be questioned?

"He still needs to eat since he's only half..." Saya murmured, deciding not to go much further than that. Sazs didn't do anything to listen to blabber all day about technicalities in the past. She was ripped out of her thoughts when Seth suddenly started crying.
Darious shot Dark a glare. He would have laughed too if Silver wasn't around. He had to be in control and pretend to be disappointed in Dark. Dark continued smirking, then follow April inside.
Vaati nudged in the face with his paw. "I'm the one who's sick, but you're the one sleeping." He mumbled slowly with another sneeze.

Sazs looked over at Seth and stood up. He walked over to the crib, then picked Seth up in his arms and cradled him a little. "What do you want, little fella?" He looked over at Saya. Seth was her child. Maybe she could figure out what he wanted faster than he could.

Silver got a few things from the First Aid and pulled out a few bandaged and some cream as she put it on her bruise. She managed to cover it and allow it to heal as she smiled. "Be glad April, it was only your cheek." Silver said, running her hand through her hair. April nodded, wrapping her arms around Silver as the mother sighed and picked up again. She loved it when April held onto her, she felt like she was doing her job, but she felt it a little annoying. "April, you can't hold onto me forever... you have to learn when to stand up for yourself, but never to take it as far as making others feel beneath you, alright? Mommy can't always protect you." Silver said, looking at her, seeing the little girl sniffle and nod. "Good, but I still would like a hug... I though I had lost you today..." She said, as April wrapped her arms back around her mother. The two of them... they were the only two left in this family. Silver wouldn't know what to do if she had lost April too.
Opal looked over at Vaati, a small mew left her muzzle as she curled up on Ezlo. "Then why don't you rest too? If you rest you'll get better... Papa said mortal's get rid of a cold if they sleep." Opal mewed, yawning again and closing her eyes when her tail twitched.
