The craters areas from the blasts are difficult terrain. A swim check is required to move through the river. Ruin, HP: 38/49, 3THP Revenge, HP: 39/53 Immobilized Twyla, HP: 37/42, Sylvia, Bloodied 5THP AbbyFumiyo's GuardsDemi-Monsters Kuori hits both her marks but they manage to cling to life. Valac regens 2 HP but S35 parries his blow. Whether S11 was going to flee or not no one will ever be able to know as Ruin's Aura saps away the last of his life. S12 attacks Ruin but misses S15 Impales revenge's foot with a spike of earth for 3 damage, immobilizing him until the end of his next turn. Clarity returns to S16's eyes and he blasts Abby with a bolt of radiant energy. S18 struggles to break of Abby's tentacles but is unable to do so. He becomes bloodied as he gasps for air. S35 strikes back at Valac, hitting him for 8 damage and marking him. S37 pulls out his longsword and swings at Arthur, but it clinks harmlessly off his platemail. S36 Hits Valac is a spike of earth for 5 damage and continues to hold him in place. (Immobilized until the end of S36's next turn) Sylva drinks the potion in her hand and moves forward towards the bridge. Illya continues to run towards the bridge. She places four bolts in the back of S35, killing him. Ramona flies over the bridge and blasts S36 with a fireball, knocking the mage back. Fumiyo is dragged further up the road but the difficult terrain from the blast area is slowing the soldiers down. Arthur finishes off the S37 and moves up to S36, Petra follows behind him and glares at the mage with her dangerous eyes.

Ruin would turned to Revenge, "Ahh... I didn't know you cared so much to stay. But, seeing as you are stuck and I am not going to leave. Tell me, what happened at Lupa with the sisters..." drew his rod and fired a bolt to strike S15's head. Before moving out to face the other living soldier. "I think we have these buggers; Abby, care to get the cart and intercept Fumiyo's group?"

Move Action: South S12 location; FFF16, I think

Revenge would mumble, deciding to resist struggling and focus on recalibrating his weight to not keep so much weight on the foot that's been focus-fired. He would be cautious, while his tail swished the ground in frustration, kicking up some debris. Quote: Second Wind. Revenge regains 13 hit points, and gains +2 to his defenses until the start of his next turn. A pause. "Revenge is best dealt akin to a quiet dagger, chilled by the night's frost, not some raging wildfire ignited by the slightest spark. So a contrast of conviction between here and I, neither of which I suspect will back down. But Ying..." He would grip his weapon a little tighter. "I was told after I left Lupa that both of them would return to their homelands, but I was suprised to see Corsica has dragged Ying into yet another conflict instead. Ying has a gentle soul and her heart has great capacity for compassion. She does not thrive off battle like her sister, and because of that she's been badly hurt. All opposition gone from in front of her, Twyla streaked across the field and clambered onto the bridge. She swept past Valac to poke viciously at the one remaining soldier on the bridge.
"Take heart, Valac, don't stand still!
We'll beat these fiends here, yes we will!"
((Switch to Bolstering Speech. Move to PP44, charge 36. 27 vs AC, 9 damage. +5 temporary hit points to Valac.))

I see you have a voice as magical as mine. Here... take this potion, it will help you move faster." Sylvia pulls a potion from her bag and offers it to Twyla. Abby responds to Ruin. "I can't fit back into the driver seat in this form, but I'll start heading for the bridge. Keep my husband safe!" Abby moves off towards the bridge. Fumiyo's groups moves further down the road, though they are still inhibited by the difficult terrain. Arthur turns to Petra. "Petra, those soldiers up there are warded against your petrifying glare. I want you to get somewhere safe while we take them on."Petra would exclaim in protest. "But... but what about you? I wont leave you!" Arthur would calm her. "It's all right; your friends have my back. I haven't come this far just to lose each other now. I'll see you in a bit." Arthur then turns and moves off towards the soldiers guarding Fumiyo. (Kuori up!)

(Sorry for posting out of turn but I disappear today till monday and Kuori is unlikely to do anything that will affect Valac's turn.)
While grateful for the buff Valac did shout angrily back to Twyla, "IQ IZ RAEQ ZES KHAEIYA QAE EDIZZ L'TAENQ EDUMM!"
Being forced to stand still Valac focused on himself and recovered some stamina so he was ready to fight some more!
(Regen 2 as I am want to do, then standard action second wind healing 14.)

At a crossroads Kuori always chooses to help her friends. She picks off the soldier by Revenge and the one by her, k owing that the one Abby had possessed would come for her next. She stood behind the bodies of his fallen comrades and praced herself.

Fortunately Kuori's tough hide absorbs most of the hit (1 damage) The spikes of earth grabbing Revenge and Valac's feet crumble away to nothing. To the north, Dresden is knocked unconscious and Seraphina is beginning to look severely injured. Ramona flies forward and launches a fireball at Fumiyo's group but it explodes harmlessly against the shield around them. Illya moves over the bridge. (Ruin up!)

“I don’t think you need me, but, you should know, Ying volunteered for this conflict, to the damnation of Corsica’s wishes... She is hurt because of bad timing on a shipment; not, the result of her sister’s actions, though she is probably still here due them and Corsica is probably still standing due to Ying’s actions” Ruin spoke before, dropping his sword and running to the driver seat of Abby’s wagon. (VV31)
“RAMONA, SYLIVA!! HELP SERAPHINA AND DRESDEN!” he yelled out as he mounted the vehicle.
(I think it was a minor action to climb onto the wagon)

Kuori ran ahead of him, catching him off guard, and was accentuated by Ruin's mention of not needing help. He was so focused on what was in front of him, he hadn't checked over his shoulder to see that Kuori hadn't left to go help the others like he had instructed. "Kuori?! What... G'ah!" he grumbled. "Distance is your strength and my weakness," he would say to her, angrily gesturing for her to go northeast. "Thanks for the information, Ruin. So few people are willing to tell me what's going on," he commented as the other Tiefling ran towards the wagon, as he had just got finished pontificating how lack of communication hurt him back in Lupa. Then, gripping his halberd with both hands, he would break into a sprint. Quote: Using an Action Point, Revenge would Run twice and Move once to PP9, shouldering past soldiers 9 + 10 to do so and allowing them Opportunity Attacks. Skidding to a stop and whirling around so his back was to Corsica, his left hand would glow a light blue-white, and he would reach back and press it against the leg of the unconscious sister to restore some of her vitality. Quote: Lay on Hands; Revenge loses a healing surge, and Ying gains healing as if they had spent a healing surge, +4. he would blurt out loudly, panting, pointing that the giant boulder near them, before returning his hand to his weapon. -------------------- POSSIBLE FUTURE IMMEDIATE INTERRUPTQuote: If Ying or Corsica will be hit by a melee or ranged attack while adjacent to me, I will trigger my Martyr's Blessing daily utility power and take the hit instead. My priority for what will trigger this will be: An immobilizing attack vs Ying > a regular attack vs Ying > any other kind of attack against Corsica. Note: This is a one-time power, so it only ever transfers one hit to me (misses don't trigger it), and does not work on Close or Area attacks.

"Oh, why, yes, we magic-voiced folk have to stick together!" Twyla would take the potion Sylvia was offering and, with a curtsey, own and down it immediately. She felt suddenly so light, almost as though she could fly across the battlefield.
"Oh wow, this feels awesome! Thank you so much, Miss Sylvia! We'll get everyone out of this, or my name isn't Twyla Rosanna Oxana Raphaella Marcella Honeysuckle Jane!!"
And with that, she took off, seeking to catch up with Ramona and Arthur to challenge the Arians taking Fumiyo away.
((Accept the potion from Sylvia, then drink it. Word of DM tells me it's +2 to speed throughout the encounter!! I take my move, which is now 7, and end at JJ53.))

As Revenge runs past the mages they each stab him with a dagger in their hands (7 damage total). Corsica yells at him, "What are you doing here? They're getting away with Fumiyo!" As Revenge puts his hand on Ying her eyes flutter back open though she seems quite disoriented. She doesn't seem to understand what Revenge is trying to get at with his words. Twyla drinks her elixir of speed and moves across the field. Ying looks around in a daze from her sisters back and speaks to Corsica in Giant. "Doki'm charna na? Karsh: Revenzj memdna?"Corsica responds to her sister. "Aki: veng ekra. Atek, ronek kyFumiyo! Yokthriki kyzji!"Ying retorts in protest "Ava--sédarm? Skaskazi: chatéguzi'n darm zygena!" But her sister speaks back sternly. "Aimana. Sawazi tokina: syméshri vyzakrazi'm kychakrozi; ava shwé Fumiyo yokna, mita hahénazi yokna. Jeje, lemthek kydarozyn; atek!"With tears in her eyes Ying nods at her sister and jumps off her back. She transforms into her centipede form and scuttles over the giant clod of earth. S10 tries to swing at her with his dagger but Revenge dodges in the way to take the hit (5 damage). Corsica then speaks to Revenge. "I have sent Ying to go save our leader. That was quite a brave and foolish thing you did. So what is your plan now, paladin? I can't have Abby being lonely again." Sylvia gets a bit flustered by Ruin's order "I-I don't know how to fight. But I have my potion and I'll see what I can do!" Sylvia moves north and takes another potion from her bag and drinks it, Her wounds visibly heal and she is no longer bloodied. Abby moves over the bridge and shouts. "We need to hurry!" Fumiyo's group moves further down the road. Soon they will be free of the crater. Seraphina kills one of the soldiers next to her. Petra stays on the Bridge and Arthur waits for more friendly forces to gather. (Kuori Up!)

Valac gains two hit points and movers closer to Fumiyo's group. S10 tries to bind Ying to the earth but the centipede girl dodges her attack. Unfortunately she gets charged by S8 who stabs her with his long sword. S9 backs away from the halberd wielding Paladin and continues to bine Corisca's feet to the ground with earth. S3 and S6 both attack Revenge with S6 hitting his mark and binding the Paladins feet with earth (Immobilized, 4 dam). S5 moves away from the circle towards Ying while the rest of soldiers focus their attacks on Corsica, blasting her with radiant energy. Corsica stoically tries to absorb their attacks but now that Revenge is closer he can see the scorpion girl is bloodied. S16 blasts Kuori for 6 Radiant damage. Illya moves towards Fumiyo's group. Ramona moves forward and sends a fireball towards Seraphina's group, hitting S24. (Ruin up!)
