The knight perked up a bit at the mention of the zoo, and he poked at his stew awkwardly.
"To... see the penguins?" he asked timidly, then smiled lightly.
"Can we leave soon?"

The knight's friend nodded with a kind smile. "B-But let's eat f-first..." he said putting a spoonful of the stew in his mouth, "Th-The stew is really g-good. Th-Thank you for m-making it."

"Ah, it isn't any problem, really. Thank you for allowing me the use of your kitchen..." he paused after saying that, then bowed his head again.
"I'm sorry I didn't ask permission to use your kitchen."

That statement made Arron scratch the back of his head. "It-It's okay... I-I was k-kinda helpless f-for a-awhile... Y-You're welcomed to it-it anytime r-really..." he mumbled before shoving his face with more stew. The food that Talbot had made was a welcomed treat after a few days of hospital dining.

Talbot nodded, then went back to eating. He didn't realize how difficult it was to forget about his slave training. He was used to not speaking unless first spoken to, and always apologizing for everything. It was even strange to him that his mistakes weren't met with harsh punishments, but instead, met with encouragement to do better. The knight was used to dining on the floor, and sleeping at the foot of a bed with his collar connected to the bedpost. Suddenly he was allowed to do what he pleased and wear pants. Everything was different in a good way, and he was having a hard time getting used to it.

The mechanic quietly ate, his mind on other things. He found the day to be very surreal because of the stress from the past days.

The knight washed their dishes once they were both finished, and out everything back into place in the kitchen. It was no time at all before he was outside and ready to travel to the zoo on Atticus. Talbot was very excited to see the penguins again, and he imagined what it would be like to feed them.

The mechanic however, was a slower in getting outside than the knight. He chuckled at his friend's enthusiasm before waiting for the lion to allow him on his back.

Atticus lowered himself to let Arron on, then stood tall once he was sure the mechanic was settled. "Ah, all right Atticus, we're going to the zoo. So, follow the scent of a lot of different animals, and you'll make it there." Talbot explained it the best he could.The lion grunted, then began to dash in the direction of the zoo. It was a bit of a distance away, but they made it, and he stopped at the gate, lowering himself to let them both off.Talbot got off and offered to help Arron, still worried about his injury.

He accepted the help. The healing wound was sore, but he would be alright. "M-Maybe we sh-should stop b-by the gift sh-shop & see wh-what they have be-before we l-leave?" suggested Arron as he paid for their tickets.

"Ah, if you'd like to. I haven't got any money with me at the moment, but I'd be fine with simply looking." the knight responded as he regarded his lion friend and pet the top of his large mane.
"You'll have to wait out here, Atticus, I'm sorry." he apologized.Atticus grunted, and went to find a nice shady spot to lounge at while he waited for them to return."Shall we head in then?" Talbot asked.

"Yes please." the knight said excitedly. He didn't wait long after saying so before he was on his way to the penguins. As soon as he reached the enclosure, he smiled brightly.
"That one is skating!" he pointed, smiling. He chuckled when it toppled over and slid into the water.

Arron was following his friend, happy to see his excitement. He laughed along with the knight at the crash & burn the penguin did. The young man was content spending the day with his friend & would let him lead.

Talbot spent a time watching the penguins and chuckling at their antics before he convinced himself to go see other animals. He led the way to the panda display, where it seemed they were introducing a panda cub to its mom. It was rather heart-warming, and made the knight happy that he had a mom he could return home to as well.
