"Hold on one second. Kagae. We've made an arrangement. Matsusuke here is to collect his wounded companion and then we are to go on with our mission." Kojiro would move to intervene between two. If Kagae stood down, Kojiro would collect his own daisho casually, and make sure the blades were seated properly in his obi.

Uncertainty was the instrument upon which she played her recent, terrible discord of thoughts. This man, despite his apparent upbringing and actions carried out by his underlings, was displaying many inherent principals of bushido. Honesty, courage, compassion (or what looked like it, though perhaps a bit more akin to Practicality), courtesy, sincerity, and loyalty... it was all there. Maybe it was just an act. She certainly couldn't dismiss his previous attempts at their lives. And it certainly didn't excuse sacrificing countless lives for the sake of some forsaken artifact that would doubtless be used for even more atrocities. But it at least earned him an honorable fight... didn't it? What was the value of a life that was about to go out and end so many more?
Nothing. She could not do a thing but stand back and hope one of the other two acted. If they didn't she knew she would have to confront him. He could not be allowed to leave; if they lost him here they might never get this chance again. If they did, though, she could absolve herself of the guilt and hide behind a curtain of righteous indignation. Or maybe not even that if the Crab refused to back down. She could fault him for many things, but confronting their enemy directly and honorably was not one of them.

Mentally, the Scorpion thought that the Crab could do with a little more patience....but this may work out for the best somehow...he didn't know, but it could theoretically!

Everyone is up before Matsusuke!
Kagae, you are close enough where movement isn't an issue for you. Kojiro, you've just secured your daisho and are a bit aways. I'll generously say 20'. Masuyo, you are just outside the doorway, with Matsusuke's back to you, also 20' away.

Kojiro draws his katana and edges a bit closer to the group in not an aggressive pose, but a bit wary. He had been hoping to strike from surprise...maybe it could be regained?

It was happening. She couldn't stop it, but there was still one thing weighing heavily upon her conscience. "I wish it did not have to come to this. Just... tell me one thing. This Nemuranai. How many lives have been lost to it, and how many more will you claim once you have it?"
She didn't bother to run for her daisho. She wouldn't need it. The spell satchel by her side was all the weapon she ever needed.

18 - Kitsuki Masuyo, 20' away
7 - Matsusuke, 14 damage, Nicked (-0)
As his companions watched, Kagae would move forward, raising his katana and delivering a slice across the chest of Matsusuke before he could react! Blackish-red blood would run from the wound slightly, but not as much as one would expect from such a wound.
Matsusuke spends a void point to reduce damage by 10!
"Thank you. Now I don't have to worry anymore about breaking my Vows," would be an immediate response from the man. Adjusting his stance slightly, his steel fists would tighten. Suddenly, he slams it forward, hitting Kagae in the abdomen of his armor with a loud CRASH!
37 vs Kagae's TN to be Hit. 25 damage
The impact seemed to be rib-shattering if it wasn't for the armor cushioning the blow, but it still had enough force to bring Kagae to his knees, unless he spends a Void Point to reduce the damage!
Next round, go!
