Mercutio blushed and suddenly shifted into his cat form. 'I... I didn't mean to do that.' He meowed to her. He hadn't even been thinking about shifting forms, but there he was; the calico-coloured cat.

Kaylene smiled took the cat in her arms. "My... aren't you adorable!" To see him in the light was a whole another thing. She carried him outside, petting and cooing at him. She looked at the shop. It was odd looking. She walked in holding the cat in her arms. "Denji! Are you in here?" She whispered. The place creeped her out. It almost felt like Somu's lab. "I want to talk with you!"

Denji shifted forms, scaring the shopkeeper half to death. Denji held up on finger to Kaylene and turned the shopkeeper, bringing out his rupees. "The tunic, please." He felt like he would get a free suit somewhere else, but he wanted to make it up to the shopkeeper. When Denji received his tunic, he dragged Kaylene and the cat back outside. "What is it?"

Kaylene petted Mercutio and smiled. "I was thinking... I know that you and Askari... well..." She didn't know how to put it... "Are good friends. I don't want to intrude... So I invited my own friend to keep me company." She pointed to the cat and smiled. "He won't cause any trouble.. I promise! He is a good kitty." She scratched behind Mercutio's ears. Come on Denji... he will be fine... please say yes!

Deji winced, remembering the cat from the night before. The other half-breed... "Fine, but he needs to be armed and be able to defend himself. I don't want any drawbacks dragging us back, alright?" He said in a half hiss.

Kayene nodded vigorously. "Oh I know he can! Thanks so much Denji! I knew I could count on you!" She dropped Mercutio and gave Denji a hug. She laughed and looked at Mercutio again. "We'll be outside!" She scooped the cat up and ran out the door. "See!? Told ya! It was easy." She smiled at him laughing.

Mercutio seemed generally happy. Then he stretched up her face and licked her cheek with his rough tongue. She made it so easy. 'Where am I going to get a weapon though?'

Lisaya giggled. "Hey that tickles!" She playfully batted at his tail. "I have a dagger you can use. I have never been trained with it though... but I can defend myself with magic. But I am sure someone like you could handle it and learn its tenniques fast"

'I'm not sure how far a dagger would go though... compared to Denji's sword, it would be a butter knife!' Mercutio curled back in her arms. It felt so comfortable.. so warm...

Lisaya sighed. "You are right. Have you thought of a staff? They don't cost much... Swords are a little expensive..." She smiled as she petted Mercutio. He fit perfectly into the crook of her arm. "I'm sorry.. but you look soo cute as a kitty! It is really distracting... but you are just so adorable!" She snuggled her cheek against his. His purring just warm her soul.

'I'm not really good with anything...' Mercutio's purring toned down, it presented a sigh. 'I just didn't grow up fighting... and it's making it hard for me to turn back if you keep making it so fun be a cat.'

Kaylene sighed. "Fighting is doesn't have to be something you grow up with.. I mean... once you have something to preotect, it will come naturally." She laughed and put Mercutio down. "Sorry... Snuggling is always so much fun!"

Mercutio shifted back and glanced at the store. Denji was probably still in there deciding on what else to buy. Or changing. He couldn't tell. "Denji sounded a little ticked off." Mercutio murmured, glancing at Kaylene.

Kaylene sighed. "I think it is probably because you can shift into a cat.. and that you're male. I think he may be just over protective of Askari... but I mean.. I am sure you wouldn't go after her..." She didn't know what else to say really. She hoped he wouldn't go after Askari. She liked it when he fretted over her. It made happy when he was around.

"He was with Askari- huh?" Mercutio looked towards the Death Mountain trail is see Denji in a red tunic already racing up it. "He can't be going alone! That's how idiots get hurt!" Denji already had a good head start. He is ticked. He thought to himself.
