Ai lowers her paws and sighs with a dry chuckle. "Yes, m'lady... I shall endeavor to do just that. So... aren't ye going to ask me why our little princess is upstairs all covered in mud and hornet stings?"

Ai rolls her eyes. "Because her Uncle Tam is an idiot, that's why. I let her enter a hedge to track Puss... she told me she could smell him... that he smelled of honey and old paper... one second she saying, I can hear him purring or is it buzzing... I yelled fer her to get away... but well... I couldn't get to her fast enough when the hive rose up to defend itself. Sorry... that's one of life's lessons she probably could have done without."

"I guess it was a good thing it's been so cold... They weren't too eager to follow." says Ai softly. I dosed her with magically infused mud to keep down the swelling, so she's going to need a good cleaning. I propose we all go to the baths when she wakes up. Tam's made a deal with the proprietor to allow the lions use of the farthest pool. It's one that few people want to use as it is somewhat shallower than the others and at this time of the year they want to bath in the deeper pools so as to get as warm as possible. But they are plenty deep for use."

Ai nods with a yawn. "Someone should be with her when she wakes up, but I'm so tired right now... spell drain. If you don't mind I'm going to crash right here and let you two be the parents... it's really not my job right now."

She nibbles his ear and laughs softly, sleepily. "So tired..." she mutters resting her head on his back with a yawn.

**I'm getting off, kiddo... tired... ye have a good night, okay... sleep well and may the angels watch over ye dream....**

Ai sleeps like a baby for hours, curled up against Kero, until Salunia calls for her mother. Suddenly her ears flick and she's alert. She lifts her head and watches as Fortuny carefully climbs the stairs to the upper bedroom.

The cub's voice can be heard complaining, through the open trap door.

"Where's Uncwel Tam. He's not here..."

Ai sighs. "And he may not be here for heaven knows how long... I wish I knew how long it's going to take for me to switch back this time." she grumbles softly to herself, pushing herself up from the hearth.

Ai to laugh heartily. "Sorry, Taro.... I tried that the last time myself... but as this is a part of me, it won't work.... That was sound thinking though. I really thought it would work,too, when I tried it... and I suppose it would have, if this was a spell... but I don't think it is... I suspect it's merely an offshoot of my true shape... that of a winged lion.... Actually, had you done that while I was walking around as Tam...." she rolls her eyes and shakes her head. "I'd probably go from two legs to four in a blink... complete with wings and a glazed look of utter confusion."
