the latter, i set the resolution setting too high on accident, i t went from 1200 to 1600 and then went sdjlkghl;askndfgkl;asdbgjkasbdlkjgh;asldfvbhosbvkjzxbckv zskjfgbkasjdbgtiuarhogiaeriueit873498769erhgbvdfbg on me, crying

Try resetting everything to default, if that doesn't work, delete and re-install?
