Inwe placed a bird on the kings lap. "Every few years it has a rebirth by fire."

The King glared at her. "Not if I have to kill you to prevent it! Did he kidnap you? Or did you run away with him with some kind of romantic notion he got you to believe?" The King said standing.
The king of the Desert country looked at the bird curiously.

The bird gently pecked at the king, looking up at him with amber eyes. He cooed softly.
"He will live for ever, unless it is murdered," Inwe shook her head when she said that. "It's tears have healing properties and its song touches the heart. It can lift many times its own weight."

she held her ground. "i left with him" she said defiantly. "yes part of it was romantic but part was to get away from you!" she snapped at him, she had only spoken to him once like that only then she had been kidding and little. he had struck her down and when she awoke there was blood all over her.

The desert King shrugged, intent upon his new bird.
Kaden listened to the tales. "But why did you leave? Why did you leave without telling me? None of this would have happened if it wasn't for you running away without a word. Without so much as a goodbye." Kaden accused. Zahara put an a gentle hand on his arm, and slid it up and down to calm him. "I couldn't say goodbye to you... I couldn't bear the pain of that parting." She said, her own tears filling her eyes. "you had me beleiving you were dead! Now I feel like I've cheated you both. I gave her hope Zahara. I promised her a life we could both share and be happy. I was finnally ready to pick myself up as you told me too so many years ago if anything ever happened to you." Kaden said gesturing out the window. "I... As the years went by... I thought that if I ever returned it wouldn't really matter what had happened while I was gone. I thought..." she sighed and didn't finnish.
The King glared at her angrily. "You are MY daughter! You are MY property! Did he think he could take you away from me? Did YOU think YOU could deprive me of what is mine!?" The King Bellowed. The others in the room cast their eyes down.

Inwe fled from the room. Intent on protecting Raylana, she grabbed the horn and blew hard. Its lovely note rang out throughout the desert, soon reaching the ears of a young dragon, feasting on her prey.

The dragon held on to the window outside. Bored, she scratched a mark into the wall. Looking back in the window, she huffed loudly.
