Kuori moves back, putting space between the wall of mages and herself since it was seeming like she was about to be alone. (NNN 8 ) Then she tries to make an opening for Corsica. (twin shot on 5&9) Then she pushes herself to keep trying harder to save her friend, (Action surge, twin strike 5&9 if they are still up moving to 10 then 1 respectively.)

(minor to quarry 5)

twin shot vs 5 = 22 vs ac for 8 dmg
twin shot vs 9 = 29 vs ac for 15 dmg
twin shot vs 5 = 16 vs ac for 7 dmg
twin shot vs 9 = 10 vs ac for 9 dmg

Valac moves up to the wagon, finds a good foothold and somewhere to hold on and hangs off the side of the wagon with his sword in the other hand.

The clods of earths bigger then one square require climb checks to move over and are blocking terrain that provide full cover. The craters areas from the blasts are difficult terrain. A swim check is required to move through the river. The cliff to the east is 15 feet tall and requires a climb check to move up.)

((Remember, Kuori can only put her Hunter's Quarry on the enemy nearest to her, and there hasn't been time for a short rest so she doesn't have her encounter powers back from the previous fight.))

Kuori scores one hit apiece on each soldier she aimed at with her Volley of Arrows, bloodying Soldier 9.

Corsica's many feet are pinned to the ground by summoned pillars of stone, immobilizing her while Arian mages pelt her with spells from a safe distance. Her massive pincers are being used to cover her upper body while her tail is curled over Ying to try and protect her. Her attention is so focused on those attacking her she hasn't noticed the adventures arrive--until Kuroi lands her arrow. Corsica would look up in surprise and shout, "Battle sister Kuori! What a surprise to see you again! Shoot the ones in dresses! They're the ones binding my feet with earth!"

Kuori and the rest of the party would notice there seems to be three distinct types of soldiers: ones dressed in plate mail with helms like Arthur's, ones dressed in in chain mail similar to the soldiers attacking Illya and Ruin, and ones dressed in robes that must be the ones Corsica was referring to. Kuori would notice soldiers 3, 6, 9, 10 (light blue) were wearing robes.

The Arian soldiers in plate mail (dark blue) charge towards the adventurers, one making towards Kuori while the rest rush at Ramona. Some bolts of magical energy are slung at the adventurers by the soldiers as well, but the only person to be hit is Ramona. In retaliation, Illya's four arms spring out from underneath her cape, each armed with a hand crossbow. With lightning speed, she shoots at four different soldiers in front of her with only one shot missing. Ramona slams the ground in front of her with a flaming ball of energy, knocking back the soldiers in front of her and severely damaging S14 (bloodied).

Two of the soldiers around Sylvia grab her while the other soldiers make a defensive line between her and the Adventurers.

THP: 11

Ruin let out a growl upon hearing Corsica's declaration of Kouri's battle sisterhood. Focusing his attention, he would release a bolt of force against the downed and bloodied solider, as he walked towards the two in front. "Let it be known, I'm Ruin of Arian and now you face oblivion."

53/53, 33 challenged

FREE ACTION

Offering a warm smile and a slight wave over his shoulder to Abby, he would say to her, "Remember, I love you. Keep yourself safe."

MOVE ACTION

Gripping his halberd with both hands, he would quickly move to dash around the incoming soldier to make his way towards Sylvia, who definitely looked like she needed help.

Quote:
Revenge moves 5E towards... JJJ24? The map's a bit hard for me to read, so I apologize up front if I get any coordinates wrong.

STANDARD ACTION

With an opening, he would go towards a robed figure, swinging wide with his halberd clumsily.

Quote:
Charge! 1E, 3NE to GGG28? 13 vs AC vs 33, almost definitely a miss. On the off-chance it does hit, going for nonlethal.

MINOR ACTION

Even if he failed to wound, hopefully he had the person's attention.

Quote:
Divine Challenge vs 33.

((Good point, Rain; for the next post, I'll make a big, detailed version of the map you can click through to, in addition to the in-the-post one that's shrunk down. It's just too hard to see at that size!))

"Okay, let's go!" Twyla began to hum under her breath, trying to get into the flow of her rhythm.

She would follow after Revenge, dodging under his clumsy halberd swing to stab at the robed man. "Bet you didn't expect such a low blow, huh?" she cackled. So far so good!

((Twyla starts Skald Aura, then moves and charges to FFF30. 23 vs. AC, 8 damage.))

Ruin lands his attack on the platemail-clad soldier S14, but he still remains standing. Despite being only dressed in robes, S33 manages to dodge Revenge's blow as his halberd swings wide. However he does feel the distinct poke from Twyla's short sword.

Abby smiles back at her husband but her expression was somber. "Don't worry, I'll be nearby... I... I never wanted you to see me like this, but I will fight to keep everyone alive. Please, still love me the same way you do now... after... after you see what they have made me... what they have made me capable of..."

Abby dashes the reins of her horse and the wagon springs forward. S14 gets trampled by her steed and is knocked prone but the other soldiers manage to get out of the way. S14 looks severely hurt. Once the horse gets close to the bridge, both Arthur and Petra dash for the bridge. Petra's eyes glow malevolently (Action Point) and, though the platemail soldiers in helms seemed unaffected, all the other soldiers behind them recoil in horror. Their skin begins to turn a shade of grey as they become sluggish. Arthur charges the nearest soldier (S32) and slashes him with his sword.

The soldiers surrounding the unconscious Fumiyo move further up the road.

Move quarry to 11
Twin shot
19 vc ac on 11 for 8 dmg
14 vs ac on 9 for 15 dmg
move to Nnn14

With a soldier charging her it would be hard to focus on the mages. Kuori gave the soldier a shot and fired one at the injured mage as well. Then she moved towards the remnants of the group, safety in numbers.

Valac dismounts the wagon and moves up to Petra and from the charges the Arian fighting next to the one Arthur was fighting swings and misses because Valac can't hit s**t no siree.

(Minor to get off the wagon, move and charge to SS 41 and howling fury for another natural 1.)

S11 deflects Kuori's arrow as her shot goes wide against S9. Valac's sloppy swing is deflected by S35.

S14 dies from Ruin's abyssal aura and S20 is bloodied.

Illya dodges S17 as he charges her but gets hit by a spell from S13

S11 rushes next to Kouri and stabs her with his long sword for 10 damage (crit)

S19 hits Ruin with a blast of radiant energy for 6 Radiant damage but it doesn't even seem to faze him. S20 lashes at him with his longsword and hits him for 5 damage

S33 shifts one square away from Twyla and summons a spike of earth from the ground that grabs Revenge's foot. (7 damage, immobilized to the end of S33's next turn)

The Soldiers Around Sylvia form up on her and start t to drag her towards the bridge, leaving her potions behind.

The soldiers at the bridge mostly focus their attacks on Arthur, who seem surprised to see one of their own attacking them. However Valac is hit by S 35 for 5 damage and blasted with radiant energy by S34 for 8 damage. Arthur shouts to Petra and Valac. "Get close to me and I'll try draw their blows away!" S31 and S37's pallor seems to return to normal while S34 and S36 turn a further shed of grey and their feet seem to be frozen to the ground.

Illya whips out her four hand crossbows once more and pegs S11, S12, S13 and S17, bloodying S13. She would ask her comrades. "I can't always reload that quickly but do you want me to keep attacking everyone or focus on just one target?"

Ramona launches an enormous fireball at S13 and S15, burning them and knocking them back with the force.

THP: 3

"My suggestion, Take aim at single targets, preferably those Revenge and June are attacking" Ruin would suggest knowing those targets would be least likely to strike her back.

"One" he muttered under his breath before plunging his blade into the other soldier.

46/53, 33 challenged, Immobilized

Revenge had hoped that the Arians would be a bit more cautious with the plant girl, and/or prioritize ransacking her potions. He was wrong on both counts.

MINOR ACTION

Revenge would look down at the spikes pinning his boots in place, and look up with a look of shock in his eyes at the mage.

But then it would wash away and a smile would form on his lips. "I'm sorry, you have chosen... poorly."

Quote:
Infernal Wrath Classic Edition, +1 power bonus and +4 damage to my next attack against 33.

STANDARD ACTION

Holding up his holy symbol of Sehanine, he would make a quick prayer, and it would begin to shine with moonlight. Then that same light would manifest in the mage's eyes, growing in intensity rapidly.

Quote:
Dazzling Flare, 20 vs 33's Reflex. 18 radiant (nonlethal) damage, and S33 has -2 to his attack rolls until the end of my next turn.

If the mage remains on his feet: "Stopping my feet does not slow me down, as you can see - or not see, as the case may be. You've just felt Sehanine's wrath; Stay and fight if you want this field to be your resting place, but if you run now, you may still yet return home with Sehanine's blessing instead.".

Quote:
S33 remains divinely challenged.

((Am I Twyla Rosanna Oxana Raphaella Marcella Honeysuckle June now? rofl ))

"No! Don't worry, Mr. Revenge--I won't let them steal her away!"

Twyla hurried forward as fast her little gnome legs would carry her. She stumbled over the thick grass, but never lost sight of her target.

"Miss Plant! Miss Plant! Hear me!

You're not alone, not yet you're not,
So give this fight another shot!"

Twyla's words seemed to hum in the air, and she hoped they'd reach the girl and breathe a new, invigorating life into her.

She looked up then at all the soldiers she'd just run towards. She gave them a nervous smile. "Um, hello there."

((Double move to DDD38, Healing Word on Sylvia; if she is able, she regains a surge + 5 hit points.))

Though he is grievously wounded by Ruins attack S20 still stands.

The mages yells in pain as he is branded by Revenge's holy light. Though he is severely injured (bloodied!) he still manages to stay on his feet.

As Twyla's magical words reach Slyvia's ears her vibrant purples eyes pop open. Her mouth opens wide and the adventures are made acutely aware of the kind of plant she was formed from. It was a scream so loud and terrible that it seemed as if it would shatter the forest itself. Everyone on the battlefield is given pause. Twyla by being near her is forced to clutch her head in agony but she got off easy compared to the rest. The two Arian soldiers next to Sylvia fall over dead while the rest begin to bleed from their ears, their brains almost rattled from their skulls. They seemed paralyzed as Sylvia stands up. She looks like she is planning to run back to her potions.

Abby jumps off the wagon and as she does so the illusion around her begins to flicker and fade. For my sisters. For everyone! Her true demi-abolith form is revealed once again and she grows until she is large as the horse she is standing next to. She motions towards S16, drawing him towards her hypnotic eyes. Within a moment his own eyes glaze over and he no longer seems himself.

The soldiers surrounding Fumiyo move further down the road.

Petra moves up behind Arthur and glares with her dangerous gaze from behind his back at the soldiers. S37 and S31 are slowed again.

Arthur slashes at the soldier in front of him with both his short swords, hitting with each, S32 is bloodied.

( I am so boned)

Kuori was not a melee fighter. She was about to be killed for it. She resolved herself as she prepared to do the only thing that she could at this point, run. (Minor, second wind). Then she shifted to (MMM 114) where she would be safer and fired at the guy (#11) (Nimble shot)
She ran back to the group (move to III21 behind Illiya). "I need some help with this on guys"

14 vs AC for 5 dmg +3 for hunters mark still being on him at start of turn

((Forgot I had nimble shot and that movement can't be broken up. Changing my intentions, ignoring my second higher roll.))
