Talbot frowned, then shook his head. "No, I don't think I'd be able to stand seeing you in pain a moment longer, especially not for my sake," he stated, "please lie down. I'll make us something to eat instead. You're still recovering, and it wouldn't be right for you to be up and about." he didn't wait for a response, and simply walked into Arron's kitchen to start whatever it was the fridge would let him make.

The knight would find a fairly bare fridge. There was enough food for a couple meals for one person, but only enough for one meal when divvied out between the pair when including Atticus.
Arron stared & scratched his neck nervously. The lack of food was something he did not like people knowing about. "Uh..." he began, not looking his friend in the face, "I-I... uh... c-can... order something..?"

The knight had to stop and think for a moment. On the one hand, he had no money himself, so going out to buy something would be an issue. He took a breath, then started to make a meal. "This is your food, so I'll make you something to eat. Atticus and I are used to living off of the land, so we'll make due with what we're able to find outside." he explained. It wasn't long before the kitchen started to fill with the smell of food.

"B-But... w-wait... Y-You're my... g-guest, th-this is... n-not how th-this works." said the Lythcol mechanic. Holding up his hands slightly in defeat, Arron said down. He let out an audible sigh.

Talbot returned from the kitchen and placed Arron's food out for him on the coffee table. "You've treated me well all of this time, so I feel it's necessary for me to do the same. Please eat." he stated, putting his hands to his hips. "I'll go out with Atticus once I'm sure you've eaten, so please don't worry. We're very capable of taking care of ourselves."

With a nod, the young man did grab a two glasses & a large bowl for the lion filling them with water. Handing one to Talbot & the placing the bowl on the floor for Atticus, Arron sat down & began to eat. "Th-Thank you..." he mumbled. He had grabbed a vial & the bottle of medication from the counter, taking both & grimacing at the taste.

Talbot nodded, glad Arron was eating and not putting up a fuss. He then walked to the door. "Atticus and I will come back once we've caught something to eat. We won't be long." he responded, grabbing his sword from the door. It pained him to kill animals, but he made sure to always honour their lives by burying their bones afterwards, and using every other part of them for various things as well.

"Pl-Please be c-careful..." Arron said, his fork hanging limply in his hands. Once his friend was gone after finishing his meal, Arron would fix the door before the pain medication rendered him too tired to concentrate. Remembering that the couch actually became a bed, Arron would set up the bed for Talbot to use.
Whenever the knight returned he would find a drowsy mechanic in his loft bed, sketching a young woman.

It was not long at all before Talbot had returned and was cooking something rather large to eat and store the extra in the freezer in several bags. Once he and Atticus had finished eating, he took a seat on the bed and looked over at Arron. "How are you feeling...?" he questioned, worry creases in his eyebrows.

Engrossed in his sketching, it took a few moments for Arron to realize that the knight was trying to get his attention. "Oh-Oh... T-Tired... I-I already took some of th-the medication..." he said putting down his sketchbook & sitting up. Arron's friend could now see the almost finished sketch. From his relaxed posture, Talbot could see that the pills were doing their job. Arron was not in pain.

Once Talbot had gotten time to be relieved that Arron seemed to be improving health-wise, he saw the sketch. Though he knew by then that Arron had a talent for drawing, he was still amazed. "You're truly a wonderful artist, Arron. I'm really impressed." he smiled gently.Atticus lay down on the floor and started to lick his paws after drinking from the bowl he'd been given.

The Lythcol mechanic blushed at the compliment. "Th-This is j-just a-a doodle... I-I draw to.." he trailed off getting sleepier, "...uh... t-to unwind... It-It's my... m-my fiancee th..that I-I'm dr-drawing..." Arron offered Talbot the book for him to get a closer look at the piece. It was a dark skinned woman with short dark hair & some burn scarring near her hairline. She looked stunning.

The knight smiled wider, nodding as he took the sketchbook to get a closer look. "You're a very lucky man, Arron. From what I've heard, she's a great woman, and she looks incredibly beautiful as well." he said, handing the book back. "I still would like to meet her some day, ah, if that's all right with you. I would understand if you prefer I not meet those who are close to you."

Taking the book back, Arron smiled & nodded as he set it aside on the small shelf near his bed. "I-I'd... like th...that.... I...I think I-I'm... g-g-gonna... sleep..." he said. Arron lied down, his eyes growing heavier by the second. He mumbled an incoherent goodnight to his friend. The medication the mechanic had taken with his meal had done its job well, possibly too well.

The knight smiled softly as his friend drifted off to sleep, then he carefully draped a blanket over him, trying to stay a distance away so that he would avoid being dragged into another mechanic-cuddle. He then walked over to the bed he was using and took a seat, reminiscing on memories of the past for awhile until he finally went to sleep himself.
