There's reasons Sosuke is the way he is with Toyoko. For completely different reasons than why Raicho is the way she is with Kaori (the two are not related). The latter case, Raicho is of a mindset where weakness breeds failure, and she's just trying to toughen Kaori up.
I won't go into Sosuke's and Toyoko's past yet. That will be for In-Character roleplaying to discover!

Yeah. I think I can see some of it. Eldest child who's no good at the family business is forced to look after the youngest child who is good at it. Maybe it can be fixed... I wonder if Sayako's married?

Crane are the "Good" and get a rebate on the shiny happy advantage of Benten's Blessing.
Scorpions are the "Bad" and get a rebate on the not so honorable advantage of Dangerous Beauty.

On a more on-topic discussion, if I ever have the opportunity to join another L5R game, I'd play an Unicorn who has some Merenae bloodline and uses a Longsword and plate armor. His Daisho would be a longsword and dagger or something. Or Longsword and Shield. I'd be such a dirty Gaijin razz

Hrrm....trying to design a character I have in another campaign as a L5R character.
Let's see what you guys can do with it.
basically, he's a human 2 Barbarian/8 Sorcerer/10 Eldritch Knight/1 Epic Eldritch Knight.
