*Kero is already there...when Tam is two feet away, he puts a foot into a six inch hole...doesn't hurt him...but makes him stumble...he gets a sense of "gotcha" from the black cub standing in front of the counter...*

tam merely chalks it up on his mental score card and goes to place their order.... but rather than get a waffle cone he finds they actually have waffle bowls at the stand... ordering those he carries them both to a rocky outcrop and they enjoy their treat while looking at the ocean and the moon on the waves.....

tam sighs and scratches his ears again... i love the shore... he says with a small smile...it's peaceful... especially at night... and yet so alive... never resting always surging... can ye swim?

wanna learn? asks tam hopefully.... getting to his feet and leading them down to the water... he picks up a few shells and then skips then on the water...

great says tam with a hearty laugh... he morphs once again to a fox and leads the way to a small still pool glistening in the moon light and they spend the next hour or two swimming and diving until he is certain that kero has learned how to swim almost if not as well as he.....

tam picks him up and they head back home... this time tam pays the fare and they ride the bus back up to the apartment building... by the time they get there, the cub is almost asleep....
