Not sure what type of machines you have access to but I always solve that problem with a rolled hem machine.

Here's just a quick little thing I did today. For Halloween I'm wearing a lolita outfit and going as a broken porcelain doll. I was figuring out makeup and an outfit when I took this. Lolita twins!

Photos from this weekend with some of the Missouri lolitas! The girls from St. Louis and St. Charles met me and the Columbia girls for a meet-up and we went to Arrow Rock, MO for a photoshoot so I could play with my camera a bit. Here are some photos I took!
