What program do you use to ink/line your pictures, out of curiosity?

I didn't think I'd finish this in time (I live in the UK and go to bed soon), took a while to draw and a little over 4 hours to cut out XDD Then when I went to upload my internet connections started to go on me @__@

Day 11: insanity So, we have a fabric store closing by me, and I went and bought a LOT!!! then had to somehow carry it all home (no car and the bus wasn't coming ^^; )

Holy Freaking CRAP that's detailed.So intricate that I'm dumbfounded. *stands open mouthed in astonishment*
I use Adobe Photoshop CS4 for all my digital art work.
I tend to use a 1000x1000 pixel canvas and a brush size of 3 to line my work. Most free chibis are done on a 500x500 pixel canvas. Once the image is complete I'll usually scale down the size. Just recently I discovered the Sharpen Filter which helps turn soft lines thinner and crisper.
My husband surprised me and took me snowboarding today so I had no time to draw except during our drive home right now razz
Not really happy with it... but happy I was able to submit something smile

Eep! thank you!! I love all of your art! Especially your Cas from a couple days ago. How long does it take for you to create stuff like that? I mean, I'm still DEFINITELY a novice, but it takes me like an hour just to create something as simple as this! How do you have time in your day to make such quality art!?

<3 I am also pretty novice at this (just got my first tablet this Christmas), but I have always loved drawing, and enjoy art, so it just kind of comes with the joy of what I'm doing I guess? XD How long does it usually take me to finish something? It depends on whether I am using a reference, for starters. If I am, it goes really quickly. The hardest parts are the lighting and getting the lineart/angles to look right. That Sam from the other day took about an hour and a half because I used the reference, and HOT DAMN WAS I INSPIRED! LOOK AT THAT MAN!! heart
Um, what else was I saying? Yes. Yes, good. *nods* Your Sam was adorable. And if you feel like a novice like me, my recommendation would be to look for as many tutorials as you can. That's what I've been doing so far, and it is seriously helping like crazy. I have learned SO much. smile

Thank you for the tips! I think I definitely will go find some tutorials when i have time! I try to read them all when they are on my dash on tumblr, but it's kinda rare. I'll have to go search them out myself!

I was planning on doing the Special Challenge, but, I couldn't because I was busy and then when I was sooo close to finishing a drawing, the computer died... sad Ah well...let's hope there's another special challenge! wink

xD I love how it looks, like so many things on gaia, but all the awesomest looking things are so hard to actually draw haha. I half-assed it xD Excited to see what you come up with razz
The names with mrgreen by them are the ones completed for this challenge. biggrin

The thread isn't a new one, so I hope it still counts. The art was all done after 10 last night, up to now. I was only able to get 2 done in the time limit, but I put loads of effort into them. :3
