"It's like two pieces of s**t were getting busy in a sewage covered gym sock. But other than that it's nice."
He was tryng to add some kind of humor to the situation, Thomas didn't really care about how awkward things might be, s**t they might all be dead in the next hour. Who cares? Live it up to the best you can. Who's to say somebody in the car dosn't snap and shoot every one of us in the skull? We would be taken too of guard to do s**t, and that would be he end of it.
Discarding the thought, Thomas returned to his more casual mentality.
"Hey Terry, mind turning on the air?"
Thomas cracked the window open so that when Terry turned on the air a vacume effect would suck the sench out of the car.
"But really Crimson, it isn't that bad. I was just messing with you."
Thomas opened up his backpack and pulled out the Nilla waffers, put his hand in the box, and started munching. He made sure to hold the box in an area that everyone was able to access.

"Yeah, tell that to my nose."
She smiled slyly, and grabbed some wafers. Crimson chuckled a bit, and then said,
"Hope you don't mind."
When Thomas opened the window with the air conditioning on, it did lessen the smell, but it didn't stop it from pervading her senses. Looking out the the window, the sight of the destruction was worse than what it smelled like. A large city, brought to it's knees. Sighing she looked over to Nina and asked,
"What's the plan now?"

Her eyes stared at Nikita's relieved expression as he set her down. She nodded a confused thanks as she regained her homeostasis. She sighed as she matched her eyes with the direction her head was facing. She was going to walk over to Alex, but soon an all-too-familiar feeling came upon her.
' 'Ho s**t... I gotta...'
"Guys, I have to go to the bathroom.." She said softly, pointing to the restroom. I'll yell if I need help." She said, the knife still in her possession. She walked over to Alex and smiled. She looked down. "Ya'.... Ya' never know when you're gonna kick the bucket these days...so...." She leaned forward and kissed him quickly. "Hope I'll be back soon." She said, nodding and breathing in deeply, looking to Nikita and Ada. "I know this is a little conceited to say, but don't worry about me, I really don't think there would be one in the bathroom, and even so I have Defense. We need to get the doors blockaded and guarding me means less help for everyone else. So... Yeah, I'm rambling." She laughed, waving. "See 'ya." She said, running to the bathroom.
As she was in the stall, she was very tense. She just couldn't relax. That's when she heard the most unexpected of things.
"Oh...Oh no..."
The sound of a zombie was heard in the stall next to her's.
"You gotta be kidding me...." She whispered, managing to stand on the toilet and look over the stall to a staff member of whom was covered in blood. She was about to leave the stall, getting off of the toilet just to get her ankle scratched at. "Ow..!" She hollered, trying to pull her ankle away. Soon it had pulled itself through the bottom of the stall, latching to her ankle with it's teeth. "Tch!" She tried to pull away, fiddling with the lock of the bathroom door. As she struggled she heard the sound of more zombies entering the bathroom.
'Why are they all attracted to--' She looked to the toilet. "... Oh HELL No..." She said, feeling them scratching at the door. "You HAVE be f**king kidding me..." As the Zombies pushed themselves through the stall, she stared at the toilet with spiteful eyes. That day......
Was the first and last day she regretted being a woman.

[[Sorry, power went out for a week, long story... anyhow, I am back... I hope I am at least caught up enough to post]] David watched the entire situation with awe. Sarah rarely, if never, apologized to him... Then again SHE never did anything to demand an apology from. David looked at Mizuki misreading the smile on his face. His usually happy face twisted into a slight scowl, however David had halfway forgotten how to make this facial feature, so it kinda looked like he needed to sneeze. Alex watched with great interest, his mom was always the right one. He had never seen her need to be forgiven. He let out a small chuckle as his mom looked up. Sarah looked up to see if she had indeed been given the forgiveness she wanted. A small blush spread on her face as she saw the smile. She felt like a fool. Then she really did look up as she heard him coughing. Worry overcoming humiliation she watched intrigued. David watched too. He saw as Mizuki pulled away his hand. He made no facial expression signifying his interest. The blood was definitely not a normal thing to come out with a cough. However it did not appear that any of the others had noticed. Sarah was in front of Mizuki, so she only saw the back of his hand. Alex was more watching Eri out of the corner of his eye than paying attention to anything. Alex had a small smile creeping up at the corner of his lips. Then he heard her express her need to use the bathroom. His smile immediately disappeared. He was worried, but he knew he couldn't do anything about it. Then she started rambling and walked over to him. As she started to him his eyebrow raised. "What are you trying to sa--" He said, getting cut off by the feel of her lips against his. He kissed her back right before she pulled away. A blush spread across his face. Not a normal 'able to hide' blush. This blush, even in the dim-lit store, was COMPLETELY visible by everyone. He looked down at the floor, hiding the smile on his face, and twiddled his thumbs trying hard to ignore the stares from everyone... and his parents. Sarah smiled, hiding her worry. Her little boy was growing up AND IT WAS KILLING HER. David held back a laugh at his son's embarrassment. It was the single funniest thing he had ever seen in his life. Alex heard some people talking, he assumed it was about him but he was way too embarrassed to say anything. In his mind there was a long and awkward silence as he waited for Eri to come back... He wanted another kiss... but this time a real kiss, a real long kiss in some dark place.... And that was when a yell resonated through the store. David looked towards the bathroom, taking one step and falling over sideways from some hard shove. Alex was already dashing for the bathroom. His father just so happened to be in the way, so he shoved him with all his adrenaline-run might. He was gone before anyone else truly knew what was happening, running into the bathroom and looking. Sarah was just as confused as anyone about what was going on, all she had gathered in the couple of seconds was 'Scream, son gone, and husband on the ground'. Alex's eyes went wide in shock as he saw infected eating a body. He could hear the sound of his own heart in his ears. Ba-dump... He pulled his gun up, his eyes starting to tear up. At the sound of the hammer clicking back, the infected looked up. Ba-dump... He fired his gun once, for some reason everything was moving as if in slow motion. The bullet went in one of the infected's heads and into another one's... Two of the five were down... Ba-dump... He aimed at the one closest to him, pulling the trigger and watching with great joy, and yet still great sadness, as its head exploded. Ba-dump Ba-dump... He turned towards the fourth one and in a blind fury hit it in the side of the head with his gun. As it fell over he pushed the gun's barrel as hard as he could into its temple. There was a cracking noise as it actually pierced his skull. Pulling the trigger, the all too familiar head explosion came again. Ba-dump Ba-dump Ba-dump He turned just in time to see the last one up in his face, it's arm swinging toward him. He was too angry to care. He pulled out his small sword out of his belt, swinging it and cutting off the thing's arm. It let out a hellish roar but Alex didn't care, he stabbed it up through the bottom of the head. In more of his blind rage he stabbed it's head repeatedly. He didn't know how long he slashed and cut at the infected's body and head, even after it fell down. Eventually he got up shakily, sheathing his sword. Walking over to the body, he immediately recognized it to be Eri's... Her body was bloody and part of her arm, breast, leg and neck were missing, but the face was completely untouched. It was so serine, as if she was sleeping... ....... Ba-dump.... Suddenly all of his adrenaline just disappeared. He fell to his knees, sobbing madly. He hugged her body, not minding the blood and chunks missing. He tried to stop but ended up making his sobbing louder... Looking at her face, he leaned in and kissed it... it was so cold, even though she was only recently dead. He pulled away softly, his eyes watering up even more at her non-responsiveness. He started bawling again. He felt the same sadness as he felt when he thought his mom was dead... only she was really dead... Sarah jumped at the sudden sounds. They only lasted a total of maybe three seconds total but there were several gun-shots, a roar, and the sounds of crying... really loud crying... "Oh no..." She said, putting her hand to her mouth softly, trying to keep tears from welling up in her eyes. David was at the door looking in. He felt sad too, but he was hiding his tears for his son's sake, someone had to be strong... Alex didn't know his dad was there, he didn't know anyone was there... he welcomed an infected to bite and rip at his flesh right now... maybe that would ease the return of this unbearable pain seeping from his heart and down into his chest and stomach... David would have normally been worried about her coming back as an infected, but do to the vaccine in her system that couldn't happen... at least not until all her bodily functions stopped. Alex just kept sobbing into his now fallen lover's body, getting blood all over his body and face... ALL over him, his entire front was covered in blood. But again, he didn't care. The first person to try to tear him from Eri's body would find it in vain... if he had his way he would never let go...

((Hahaha... That's not very nice Gothic_Kyo. Anyways, I'm sorry this post is late. My life has just been extremely busy.))
Nikita tried not to look at Eri, since he did not want to yell at her. Sure, she disrespected him, however she was only a kid. Kalila and Nicholas' eyes went to Mizuki as the young man showed signs of nausea. Nicholas lifted a brow in a questioning manner, grasping Mizuki's arm to steady him, just in case. Kalila, habitually, rubbed her hand in a motherly manner around his back. Nicholas use to be very prone to nausea in moving vehicles when he was younger, and Kalila had formed the habit around that time. The siblings jumped at his coughing and finally when it subsided and he spoke, they looked at each other then to him again. They were standing to his sides and slightly behind him. Kalila was not paying enough attention to notice any bit of blood. Though she was worried for him, the noise also made her aware of general attack that could be spurred around them. Nicholas, on the other hand, was just unobservant. When she had looked at her little brother, her eyes displayed concern. Nicholas’ expression seemed unsteady. He was all for Mizuki, but if doubts kept being raised up, he didn’t know what he was going to do. When Mizuki commented on his own coughing fit Nicholas couldn’t help but think I’ve got an idea…
However, the subject was changed when Mizuki spoke of Nina. Kalila immediately reflected the smile for two reasons. First, she loved to see Mizuki smile, and second, Nina was her best friend and just talking about her cheered her up. "I know! Isn't she awesome...?” she beamed, her hands going back to the hilt of the katana, away from Mizuki‘s personal bubble. Ada commented on how it was great that Nina was an asset to their group, but if the other ones would be a hindrance. Nikita picked up from this point. He said it was worse enough that their group was getting so big but he didn’t want any pussies in the group. Nicholas’s eye narrowed at the newfound rival to his friend. “Jain fences… She’s pretty much a beast.” Nicholas said, more so to go against Nikita than compliment Jain. “They have a military fellow with them too.” Kalila added. At this, the Russian cousins cringed. They didn’t have to deal with people tied in to the government. They disliked David and Sarah for being connected to things connected to the government, but military was a direct link. The older sibling was taken aback by the reaction of the two. In her mind, military personnel would be a perfect addition to their group. Nicholas felt a pang of patriotic hate to the reaction. He scoffed and turned his head away from them. Either way, Ada and Nikita were silenced by the information. “Yeah…” Nicholas replied to Mizuki, “Let’s go.” He said as he walked in the direction.
Eri announced her need to go to the restroom. Ada and Kalila’s immediate reaction was to say that they would accompany her. Her goodbye to Alex made Kalila bit her bottom lip to try and hide a smile. Now that Eri wasn’t infected, the two were kind of adorable together. Nikita even started walking in the direction, as Eri said her goodbye to Alex. Walking in the direction of the bathroom helped him avoid seeing that as well. However, the girl stated her position against accompaniment. Kalila frowned, Yes… It is conceited. Nicholas didn‘t really care. I would never be so dumb as to go alone, but if she wants to, hey, it‘s not my problem. Nikita looked in the direction of the bathroom, then at Eri, then at the bathroom again. It didn’t seem that far. If anything went wrong, he could do something about it. Ada shrugged at the girl. Eri was vaccinated now, and Ada couldn’t help but let her guard down about the young one. That‘s when they let Eri go… All by her small, fragile self. Big mistake.
“Well, that’s perfect.” Nicholas said sarcastically. “We can’t go anywhere.” As soon as he finished speaking, Eri screamed, but even before that, something triggered them. Unknown to them, the smell of blood drove the creatures more than anything else could. A large group of infected were running as fast as they could toward the women’s restroom. They seemed so set on getting in, they didn’t even seem to notice the rest of the group that was not too far off. “What the-” Nicholas started, but Alex was already running. “Oh my God!” Kalila screamed the exclamation in true feminine, high-pitched shrill fashion. This seemed to trigger everyone running towards the horde. Nikita and Ada were in the front of the pack, guns blazing. Nicholas, close by, also taking some out. Kalila felt completely useless, She couldn’t run in front of everyone for it would just hinder what was going on, however she could fight from back where she was at the moment either. All she could do was wait. So, she decided to help lift David up. Nikita and Ada arrived just in time to see Alex stab his wakizashi through the head of the infected, again, and again, again… Nikita relaxed a little for Alex seemed to have taken care of everything. Instead, he called out to Eri. Ada felt a little creeped out by Alex, so her eyes wandered and fell upon Eri. The sheer pristine look of her face made it take a longer time then usual to register the girl was dead. Ada dropped to her knees, unable to muster any other reaction except for the water that was gathering in her eyes. Nikita’s attention turned to Ada in mid-call. He asked her what was wrong and followed her eyes. His eyes widened in sheer shock. He paled to an inhuman level. Nicholas and Kalila stepped in at the same time Alex began to sob. Kalila’s eyes landed on the loud mourner, while Nicholas’s landed on Ada and Nikita. Kalila ran over to Alex, a steady stream of tears were coming from her eyes, but like Ada, she did not make a sound. She was the one who tried to get Alex off of Eri’s carcass. Kalila had great physical strength, however Alex’s grip was beyond her. Additionally, she fearfully tried to avoid all the blood. She stopped, scooted away from the couple-that-was, and clenched her fists, her eyes down cast, wiping at her tears every now and then. Nicholas observed all the reaction, turned around, and walked straight out of the restroom as David walked in. He leaned against the wall, arms crossed, staring at the floor. No more infected were coming. Eri’s blood had become void for access due to the smell of the fear/danger pheromone that was littering the area due to the now dead horde. “We can’t stay here any longer.” Nicholas yelled. His voice was oddly calm, though it held a raspy quality that was not there before. “We have to go or risk all of us having the same fate.” He paused, staring into nothingness. “She’s lucky, ya know. She didn’t comeback as one of them or become a full-body snack.” He mumbled. “If that happens to any of us, we face a worse fate.”

Alex's crying was slowing down... He hated to admit it, but Nicholas was right, Eri was in a better place now. Wiping his eyes with the side of his forearm NOT spattered with blood, he looked down at Eri. He pulled out his wakazashi and took a lock of her hair. Cutting it off, he quickly braided it and tied it around his wrist. So I'll never forget... he thought to himself silently. David watched this and said, "It's a good thing your sister taught you how to braid her hair, huh?" He was trying to make a joke, lighten the mood... But it didn't seem to work. Sarah's hand immediately snapped over her husband's mouth. Now was NOT the time for jokes. Alex layed Eri down softly, standing up silently. He had dark bags under his eyes, seemingly hinting at his deppression. However these weren't any normal bags. They were deepset in his face, as if they had been there his entire life and everyone failed to notice. His face was so serious, and yet so depressed at the same time. All recognizable features that linked him to his father were gone. Sarah sighed, "Nicholas is right, we need to get out of here. We have no idea how much longer it could be untill another horde of infected come..." Alex just walked by, not talking. For some reason he didn't feel like talking. He felt as if, if he opened his mouth he would start crying again. Alex may have just suffered a blow, but he wasn't going to be a handicap. Just because Eri was gone, he wasn't going to become a useless sap who was only good for slowing the rest down... David physically cringed at how serious his son had become...

As Terry continued to drive, he expertly avoided all of the obstacles on the debris- ridden road. A crashed vehicle and a streetlight lay on the corner, blocking the next turn. Terry continued around them cautiously. The infected must have put all this trash here. He took the long route since the place he had retrieved Jain from had hordes of the infected swarming it. Nina conversed with her friend on her walkie-talkie, and it made the sergeant question whether the Wal-Mart was safe or not. Terry looked back at Nina through the rear view mirror in disbelief when he heard her friend talk about the vaccine. This would make his job much easier. Some of this is actually working out for my benefit. Terry thought in amazement. He was sure nothing was going to get done since he had to spend all his time protecting the teenagers he managed to get stuck with. The stench that had accumulated in his truck stopped him from rejoicing and persuaded him to get to the store ASAP. The teenagers were annoying him, blaming the smell on each other when it was clearly of the infected. The smell smeared the inside his truck due to the prolonged period being near the burning infected, the burning rotted skin. Terry saw the Wal-Mart and drove into the parking lot. There were only two cars and one of them had "Be careful of zombies! We are here." written on its dirty exterior. This looks like the place in the right place. Terry thought, sighing quietly. He drove with one hand and grabbed the pistol, which he had let Thomas borrow earlier, with the other. They definitely caught some attention because a rallying screech echoed from some direction. He quickly pulled the truck up to the front of the store and his eyes caught a red phone that had a wire sticking in the door. "That's the phone your friend was taking about, right? Go, I'll cover you." He ordered Nina and Jain, since they were closest to the door…

[Sorry it took so long. Lots of things happening. Plus I was dead confused about what had happened to Eri. She dead now then?]
Mizuki brightened as Kalila brightened. It was strange the effect she had on him. But when she spoke about Nina it was like nothing else in the world mattered. And it rubbed off on him. For a brief moment all the little indescrepancies of before were forgotten in Kalila's bright flash of cheer and Mizuki soon found he was smiling too. He was genuinely looking forwards to seeing Nina. Sure, she'd been a bit full on the first time he'd met her, and admittedly that had made him a bit nervous. He wasn't exactly an expert when it came to full frontal female attention. But he liked to think that in the brief space of time that they had spent away from the safety of Nina's flat, in all that he had done and put himself through - as well as the group through - that he'd become a better man for it. More mature. Hell, if he could lead a pack of blood thristy Crazies away using himself as bait, he could handle a little flirting right? Maybe she would have moved on. After all - there were other males in the group now. Something that was stressed at that percise moment by Kalila; They have a military fellow with them too. Mizuki shivered in unison with the russians. Probably the only sentiment he shared with them. However, he was not worried about this new adition, perhaps, for the same reasons as they were. He had two main concerns. One; it was just another educated and alert mind more intuned to the Crazies than your average person. Such a person would be a danger for him to be around in case he put the final nail of suspician in the coffin that was currently struggling to box him in. Two; perhaps the most pressing. As military, he would be a dominant male authority figure, and thus kick up that over active competitive streak in Mizuki the moment he came around. And with the snarling thing that occupied his brain, and told him to take out any opposition, Mizuki doubted he would be able to keep his cool as often as he had done so far.
Eri disappeared to the bathroom and Mizuki was left to sulk slightly as the others chatted excitedly about the impending arrival of another group. He stuck his hands in his pockets and inhaled deeply through his nostrils to calm himself. Something tickled his senses and his eyes flew open. He didn't know what the smell was, but it was fresh. And it was delicious. Saliva began to pool in the corners of his mouth and he looked around, trying to be casual in his desperation, for the source of the smell. It seemed to be coming from the bathrooms. . . He wanted very much to investigate the smell, but was aware that Eri was in there. If he wandered in there now, everyone would go ape s**t at him. So he dug in his heels, and drank the air in curiously, delighting in the taste of the strange smell upon it. His stomach tightened longingly. He caught Nicholas' comment and a grin flickered across his face before he caught movement over the tops of the shelves. He went rigid and craned his neck. His jaw fell slack as he saw the group of Crazie's hoarding at great speed towards the group. He let out an inarticulate garble and raised his shotgun and took aim. A sharp scream distracted him. Along with it came a fresh blast of that sweet intoxicating smell. It knocked him off his feet for a moment his first shot missed, obliterating a top shelf rack of Venus shaving razors. The Crazie's didn't stop. Unpreturbed by the attack and dashed - not for them - but for the bathroom. Mizuki spun on his heel and fired off two shots in quick succession, holding his ground against the buck of the gun. One destroyed a head, the other enough of the neck for the creature to bleed to death within a few frantic seconds of thrashing. It wasn't even given that, as its fellows trampled over it in their haste, carrying segments of its flattened skull away with them, embedded in their feet.
Bullets flared and Crazie's fell in pieces to litter the ground as he saw Alex dart into the bathroom. The gun had become heavy as the strange sweet smell fell like a thick mist across his senses. It made his very bones vibrate with longing. He had to swallow, his mouth filling with saliva. Everyone around him seemed to calm as Alex went into the bathroom. He just assumed that they were subject to this strange smell too. He register until Alex emerged from the bathroom that the smell was coming from Eri. His senses led him to stare at her long before he was able to take in Alex's haggard and tear stained appearence. He located her missing pieces straight away. His eyes widened, and rather than becoming wet with tears, suddenly became insufferably dry. So much so that they itched. He blinked profusely, just as the others seemed to take note of what he had already seen. Sadness came in droves. The group as a collective rushed forwards, some crumpling, others raking with sobs. Mizuki didn't pick out individuals he was focused on Eri. And the smell. The blood. Even now, it called to him. Clawed at his chest with steely fingers of want. He stayed his distance. Though he had never been close to Eri, had hated her in fact, he was saddened by her death. By the way it happened, by the effect it would have on the group. But he got over it with almost callous speed. To his mind, staring at the young corpse, this was a sight he had come adjusted to over his month or so of this living hell. After seeing the corpses of your own parents, nothing much tended to phase you anymore. He glared at the floor, keeping a respectful silence and allowing the others room to grieve. Something he had never allowed himself in all fairness. He began breathing through his mouth, trying to mute the effects the smell was having on him. As much as it disgusted him, he liked it.
After a few minutes he looked up. The first thing he saw was Alex. He winced slightly, saddened by how serious and broken the boy looked. He felt he could relate to that pain. But now was not the time for bonding sessions. Somewhere across from them, there was a strong burst of terriorial stench that indicated him to a fight that had just erupted between two groups of Crazies as they headed for their location. Their strangled snarls and screams alerted the others only seconds after. He caught Nicholas' eye and nodded his agreement to the sentiment that they move on. And quickly.

((Yeah... I was confused too, Metzli. I actually had to PM Funny_Man0 about it to see if I was getting it right.))
Nina quickly gave minor details to everyone about what had transpired between her and her friend: the other group had reached the Wal-Mart, they were in the process of clearing it out, and that they were being attacked. Terry didn't seem to have a problem understanding the conversation. He's probably use to hearing static-y messages through a walkie-talkie. Nina thought. It made her more impatient than ever to reach her friends, and Jain could feel Nina radiating the emotion. They were Jain's friends as well, but she did feel great about charging into a group of infected. Nina normally would have been beyond help, she would have been cowering in fear at the idea. However, the circumstances were weird: her friends were at risk, she was feeling useless, and, by God, she was going to do something to keep as many of her loved ones alive as long as possible. As for the smell, Nina did not notice. She was too busy thinking about her friends. It was a smell, ironically, she gotten use to quickly. There had been a bunch of rotting corpses burning outside of her house for hours, after all. Jain was another story. Since Nina was wearing full-length jeans and a jeans jacket, Jain just buried her face into her friend's jeans covered arms. Jain nearly threw up in her mouth when Thomas offered the wafers. At the moment, eating was the furthest thing from her mind.
Before Nina could answer Crimson's question, the truck had already pulled up into the parking lot of the store. Jain smacked Nina's arm and pointed out the car with "Be careful of zombies! We are here." written on it. "Whoa... If that isn't Kalila's handwriting, I don't know what is..." Nina said with a bit of a smirk. "Look at that- Who else would go about punctuating a message like that?" Nina joked. Jain laughed and voiced her agreement. A moment later, the call of the infected was heard and Nina cringed into Garath and Jain cringed into Nina. Terry spoke up after he pulled into the front of the building. Jain couldn't help but curse her luck on being on the wrong side. She didn't want to get down. Nina hoped her body wouldn't give out on her from fear at the wrong time. I hope that everyone who didn’t hear the conversation between Kalila and me are smart enough to figure out what’s going on... Nina thought harshly. "I'm counting to three." Nina told Jain. "Open the door and we'll run, 'kay?" She was trying to sound calm. Jain pursed her lips in anxiousness, but nodded her head in agreement. "One... Two..." Nina and Jain stared at each other intensely. Another roar was heard and it sounded like it was coming from all around. "THREE!" Nina yelled. The two girls quickly flew out of the car and went straight for the red phone. Both girls were on their knees. Jain had picked up the phone first, but her voice was not cooperating with her. She pressed the button, tried to talk, failed, and quickly held the phone to Nina.
Kalila shivered at what her brother said about Eri's fate. She agreed completely. Though it took her a couple of minutes, She managed to struggle to her feet and go towards her brother and Mizuki. She passed David on the way and purposefully avoided his eyes. Nicholas was glad to have people agree with him. It was even better to have the opinions be of the two whose opinion mattered most to him. He would prefer to have Alex's opinion too, but the situation wouldn't even let him dream of it. He did not want to seem completely heartless. After all, he doubted Eri would want all of them to die in the process of mourning her death. Two separate groups of roars were heard in different intervals, one from the front of the store, most likely outside, and one from somewhere in the store. "Not a moments rest..." Nicholas groaned. "We're all lacking sleep... and a good meal. If this keeps up, we'll all fall unconscious where we stand." Kalila whispered aloud, though it was to herself. "KALILA! OPEN THIS F*CKIN' DOOR RIGHT NOW!!!!" came Nina's voice screeching through the speakers all around the huge store. Kalila had jerked in surprise at the sudden loudness. Noises similar to some sort of intense outrage were heard from inside the store. It was obvious the sheer amplitude of the noise had caused the creatures pain. Just a few seconds later the group of infected outside were screaming as well. Sobbing was heard over the intercom, and a barely decipherable request to hurry. It was Jain's voice. Without really thinking it through, completely out of her cautious nature, Kalila ran as fast as she could to the front of the store. "What the hell do you think you're doing!?" Nicholas yelled after her and was soon following.
Since it was now dark outside, Nina realized why the infected were attracted to them so easily. Since they couldn't go on any of their other poor senses in the level of light, they all were depending on their ears. The creatures may have avoided a car in the daylight, but in the darkness, all they knew was that it was noise and noise meant life. Jain screamed when a sudden thud was heard against the glass of the door to the store. It was Kalila. She had been running as fast as possible and had banged into the door before she could fully stop herself. She quickly undid the lock on the door and pulled the door open. "Get in!" Nicholas ordered them over his sister's shoulder. "Be ready to fight, you didn't make them too happy with your screams." He said turning back towards the store and making sure no infected came to close. The creatures had mostly been writhing in pain due to the attack dealt to their eardrums. Nina quickly pushed Jain inside the store, turned around, pulled Garath out of the car, did the same to him as Jain, grabbed the bags they had gotten together, threw them at Jain inside of the store, and ordered everyone else to hurry up. Jain quickly caught each bag, but before she could put them down Kalila snatched them from her and put them underneath the checkout counter where the rest of their stuff was. Nina could hear the screams of infected from the outside get louder, as in closer. We're so screwed! she thought in a much-panicked manner for even the voice in her head was screaming, sobbing, and completely uneven. She started to slide the serge's guns that where on the floorboard across the ground and into the store as well. She hoped the safety would be good enough protection because she was too scared to care about if there was any other taboo in doing what she was doing. How's the serge gonna get all his science equipment in the back of the truck inside? Nina wondered deep down in her subconscious somewhere. She switched doors to the passenger seat and now handed the guns off to Jain. Jain in turn screamed at everyone to hurry. Kalila and Nicholas were too afraid they would get in the way, so they just watched out to protect them from any attacks from inside the store.
Ada and Nikita had made it now. It had taken Nikita a good while to snap out of his shock. Ada had gained back her wits faster than her younger cousin and thus had to help him gain his sense back. Ada steered them in the direction of helping out the siblings and their friends rather then continue to put the place on lock down. Nikita was just shooting to help himself emotionally, taking out his mourning for loss and failure on the infected. Their silenced guns had left fallen bodies of infected in their wake. There were too many of them inside the store. It was obvious their was a leak to the outside world somewhere; the way the smallest whole in a house will allow curious bugs to find their way inside. At least it was safer than the outside world. Nikita demanded to know what was taking them so long to get inside. Not one person paid him any heed.

Crimson was silent during the whole chaotic scene, perking her ears to the noises that weren't made by Nina or Jain. When they burst open and ran to the door, Crimson began gathering things to take, and when Nina switched doors, Crimson slide most of the science equipment inside. The sounds of the infected were proliferating, and after Crimson finished throwing the rest of the equipment inside, she unsheathed her swords. With that, Crimson ran outside, killing any nearby infected with a neat sweep of her blades. After ten down, she looked around, and yelled to Nina to finish up. Crimson could see the masses of undead coming closer, a mass too much for her to handle. Her insides twisted with a pang of fear, her thoughts twisting.
How the hell are we going to survive this?

David's eyes lit up when Kalila mentioned food. "Food?" He asked, "I can make food." He said, just about forcing himself into the position before anyone could argue... and before anyone could argue there was a yell over the intercom. Sarah was right behind Kalila, but in front of Nicholas. So this is Nina? She thought silently. Introductions would wait for later, as for right now she could already hear the infected coming... from in AND out of the store. "Get in and close the door!" Sarah said, not as much ordering as really desperately suggesting. Sarah didn't order, she made really good suggestions. She didn't like people thinking they HAD to listen to her, but in this case it would probably be better... Then Sarah heard the infected coming towards them, though it was louder inside the store than outside. Alex was watching for infected, sure he was relieved that Nina was here, but she couldn't have really come at a worse time... at least not to him. He shot the first infected he saw and it fell forward, the other infected trampled over it's limp body to make it to them. David was right beside alex, shooting the infected with his uzies. Although the intercom and the noise from the running of the group seemed to have brought nearly every infected in the store to them. Sarah was standing by in case any got close to the group. Turning to look at the new found group of people, she saw one coming out of the shadows of outside. "Watch out!" Sarah said to one of them, stepping in the way of the lunging infected. She quickly grabbed its arm and flipped it onto the ground. Lifted her foot over the now grounded infected, she stomped it's head in. Looking around quickly she shoved all of the people into the store... Her maternal instincts were going nuts. THEY WERE ALL SO YOUNG!!! David could tell his wife's frustration and smiled slightly. They were the two oldest people... at least as far as he could see. Alex wasn't watching his mother. His eyes were focused soley on getting the infected. He knew that he couldn't get revenge for what the infected did to Eri, but he sure as hell was going to try...

Terry waited for the girls to get their wits about themselves. Finally, after a count of three, the two busted out of the door and scrambled to the red phone. The sheer panic that overtook them is quite odd, especially since they had been so normal before. Nina's ear-piercing screech was horrible and, to make matters worse, the amplified noise could be heard from inside. The wait wasn't long. Their friend yanked the door open and immediately launched into what to do. Terry took a quick look in the opposite direction of the store. Past the parking lot, there were infected gathering and running towards their position. The sergeant stuck his pistol back in its holster, on his leg, and got out his battle rifle from before.
"Move, move, move!" Terry emphasized as he quickly pocketed his keys, shot out of the driver’s seat, and slammed the door. He held his weapon at the ready and shot every now-and-then when he thought a couple of them got too close. The first thing he did was run over to the back of the truck. He started carefully taking in all the delicate scientific equipment. Crimson helped him some; however, he said he would get the rest. It‘s not that he did not trust the young lady, he just didn‘t want to risk anything. “If you want something done right, do it yourself“ as the old saying goes.
When he finally got all his equipment in, Terry looked onto the sea of infected. He shot infected with precise shots as a couple got to close. However, he eventually had to switch to shooting from his waist in wide spreads. He slowly walked over to Nina, shooting all the while. He grabbed her wrist and whipped her towards the door and then he did the same to Crimson. He kicked the doors of his vehicle shut. We’ll need it later. I want it safe. From that point, he kept shooting and walking backwards towards the entrance of the store. When he was finally inside, he dropped his rifle, which swung at his hip from its strap, grabbed the doors, and slammed them shut. “Lock them!” he barked to the unfamiliar faces. Infected were slamming into the doors, he couldn‘t hold it shut much longer. He sensed the battle going on behind him. The sooner this door was locked, the sooner he could help.

((Come on people... We need to post. I haven't posted because I was thinking Gothic_Kyo or someone would. Hopefully this post gets people to put a post up))
Jain was aware of everything, yet not fully comprehending it. She saw the infected coming in on their position from both sides, she heard some people yelling, she saw the dried blood all over the people who had been in the store for a while, and she also smelled that and sweat from them. The smell was very metallic; yet oddly not as repulsive as she would have expected. Perhaps being around the smell of burning corpses for so long had numbed her to it. Either way, her senses felt too strong for her to understand all of what she was taking in. She wondered if it was because she was on an adrenaline trip. She took out a short gladius from the duffle bag they had packed. She felt like she was moving slow, but then again... Wasn't everything? She got into fencing stance. It was really weird with the weapon, but she made it work. As soon as an infected got too close, she stabbed them straight though the head with a graceful, strong thrust.
Nina nearly screamed to death when her wrist was yanked. However, her voice caught in her throat when she was brutally thrown into the store. She bounced off the doorframe and looked back to see Terry shooting. However, her view of the Serge was quickly blocked by Crimson being thrown into her. "Sh*t!" Nina managed to say before Crimson's body collided with hers. They hit the ground together. Nina hit her head on the ground, seeing the world skew to the left for a few moments before it readjusted itself. She scrambled up, pulling Crimson up by her hand. "Sorry, you alright?" she asked, rubbing the back of her head. Godammit.. she thought as her hand grazed over a lump. Nina was closer to the door than anyone else, and thus decided to help Terry keep it shut.
Kalila clashed with infected after infected. Unlike the new group, she had used adrenaline many times during the day (The pasted two days actually... Nearly three). Her reserves were running low. Her swings were beginning to be accompanied more often with kicks because her arms were getting tired. Apparently, the ringing had stopped in the infecteds' ears. Kalila was slightly aware of Jain getting closer and closer to her. A laugh passed through her mind as she thought I'm not the only sword preferring person anymore. Soon enough Jain was back to back with her and they fought as a pair. Way back, or at least it felt like way back, when the infected were not a part of their lives Kalila and Jain would often spar for fun. They were generally on equal terms, winning about an equal amount of times. Of course, Jain would "cheat" sometimes: grabbing a boob or butt-cheek to mess with Kalila long enough to get the upper hand and gain victory. Kalila heard the military man yell for lockdown of the door. "Nicholas, catch!" Kalila yelled as she quickly tossed her keys to her younger brother. Nicholas barely caught the keys, batting them up to grab them from the air.
"Cover me!" Nicholas yelled to the gunning group, in general. He ran over to the door, pushing Nina out of the way and signaling for the military man with is hands to let him see the lock. He felt an immediate idolization form to the sergeant. With fumbling hands, he tried to lock the doors. His hands trembled with fatigue, and he dropped the keys once. Nina quickly scooped the keys of the ground and took the job over. Before Nina even finished, Nicholas departed back to slaughter more infected. Nina's hands fumbled as well, but she got the job done. She made sure the door was completely secure before she scanned the fighting group. At first, fear engulfed her as she saw all the carnage. She saw Garath laying some stuff down by one of the checkout stations. She looked back at the on coming infected and noticed they were getting sparser.
"They're... Retreating." Nina said incredulously. "You've gotta be f*ckin' kidding me." she whispered to herself. As soon as she felt relief, fear of double intensity came over her, Dios mio, how smart are these things? She picked a pistol off of the ground. She had her rapier at her waist still, but she felt safer having a firearm. In actuality, the infected ran away due to the pheromones of their fallen brethren at work.
Ada shot one last infected as they ran back into the isles they seemed to have emerged from. Nikita yelled that they better have been running away in a very confident manner, spitting once after them. His eyes were red, obviously because of working to keep tears back. He would take his frustration of Eri's death out on the infected every time he saw one. Ada reloaded her pistol only to see it was her last clip. She cursed lightly under her breath. She voiced the information to Nikita. He gave her a humorless laugh and informed her they could just step over to the gunning section. Ada nodded and looked back at the group, now with new members. She let out a frustrated sigh when she saw all of the new members were teenagers as well. She saw all the weapons lying on the ground near the entrance. She was impressed with the artillery; it was mafia worthy. Nikita observed the new group and smirked as he saw the three new female additions to their group. Ada walked closer to Kalila.
"Hey" Kalila said with a tired smile as Ada came close. "This is Jain. She's my friend. Jane, Ada." It was a lame introduction, but it was all Kalila could manage. Jain waved and enthusiastically put her hand out to be shaken. After all, Ada was a very beautiful woman. Ada greeted the girl with a fake smile and shook her hand. Nikita quickly came into the group. Jain bit back a grin. He was just as attractive as the woman. "Oh, this is Nikita." Kalila told her friend, and switched to looking at Nikita. "Jain." she said pointing to her. The two shook hands as well. Jain took an immediate dislike of Nikita when he answered with a grin that looked very "@$$hole-ish" to her. Instead, she shoved Kalila playfully. She was feeling good knowing that she could take on infected enough to keep from dying for a little bit. She asked Kalila where this Mizuki she heard so much about was. A smile embellished Kalila’s features as she shyly pointed to him. Jain yelled in mock seriousness for everyone to get their @$$ near her so she could meet everyone.
Nina and Nicholas approached the group as well. As Nicholas approached the group Jain immediately grabbed his shoulder and very discreetly asked him a question, Kalila could hear it too: Is that guy a complete douche she said looking over at Nikita. “Oh yeah- You better believe it.” he said bluntly, his rage at the older man taking effect at the same time. “He‘s a complete douche to all of us.” When Jain looked at Kalila for a second opinion. Kalila nodded her head as she went on to introduce the two to Nina. They all formally shook hands. As soon as that was done, Kalila and Nina embraced each other as tightly as they could. Jain immediately pointed Mizuki out to Nina. Nina grinned. "Miiizuuukiiii" She said elongating his name in a singsong voice. "Where do you think you're going, buddy? How have you been? Treatin' Kalila well I hope." She immediately recieved a whap on her arm from said friend. Ada immediately felt uncomfortable as the group gathered together. She backed off a bit and saw the military man still near the doorway. Ada lifted an eyebrow with interest. Her mistrust of his station combined with his appearance made him devilishly appealing.

[I'll help in trying to get this going...] Sarah backed up, her hand to hand skills were useless against the infected OUTSIDE. She stood next to her husband, watching as the infected retreated. Not a suprise David thought to himself Top priority is self-preservation, second priority is food. He smiled as he put away his gun. Alex walked around the group, looking at them all... A bunch of strangers, but where was... "Nina!" He said, not as enthusiastically as he would have hoped. His voice was failing him for some reason. He hugged Nina tightly, seemingly catching her just after she spoke to Mizuki. This probably startled her, seeing as how he was just a little taller than her. He released her, examining her top to bottom. She looked as if she hadn't even been touched by an infected... at least compared to the rest of Kalila's group. In fact, he got her a little dirty with the blood on his shirt. "You look... good... considering the apocalypse and all." He said hoarsely with a smile. Sarah began looking around at the group. Her eyes going wider and wider as she looked from person to person. "Holy hell!" She said, grabbing handfuls of her hair. "Why are you all so young!?" She yelled to no one in particular. "What, older people can't survive!?" She said, pulling on her hair. David laughed slightly at his wife's reaction. She wasn't as much DISAPPOINTED that they were all so young, as she was WORRIED that they would get hurt. She felt more like a mother around all these young people... Even the oldest one COULD be her son. Although he was closer to their age. David looked at them, smiling. "Sorry..." He apologized for his wife's outburst. Alex flushed in embarrassment at his mother. He grabbed his temples and sighed. He shook his head at his parents. They could embarrass him pretty badly with this many people.
