Ruin's bolt of force strikes the gravely wounded mage in the back, causing him to collapse to the ground unconscious. The potion the mage was grasping rolls from his hands. It looks identical to the ones the other mages used earlier to heal. The words "Tristan's Tonics" could be read on a label on its side.
As the dust from the battle settles, Illya comes out from behind the rock, holding her side with one of her arms. Though she looks to be trying to hide it, she obviously is in a bit of pain. She picks up her hat from where it fell earlier and puts it back on her head. Between the high collar of her cape and the low brim of her hat, barely a sliver of her face could be seen. She turns to her teifling companion. "Ruin, let's hurry up and get back to the others." She would then turn to the other adventurers and bow. "I don't know why you are here, or how you know Ying and Corsica, but thank you for your help."

Twyla sighed. "Well, I tried."
She walked over to the fallen mage and picked up the potion. "Hmm, what's this?"

Twyla determines the potion is a potion of healing. At the cost of a healing surge it will restore ten hit point.

Ruin stabbed his blade into the ground, where it would fade from existence. "Unless if you want to kill this monster? One moment, Illya. I liked the knight's idea. ", he stated, in meaning as one of the experiments she had a right(in his mind, at least) to kill the mage. Taking a pair of iron manacles from his pack, along with two healing potions, and 20 gold coins. The once scholar proceeded to shackle the poor unconscious mage, "You sir, are now the prisoner of Ruin of Aria, to be at mercy of the Shadow Wolf court. Any action that revolves around not being completely helpful, will result in your slow and painful death. Do you understand?" He then caused the resting mage's head to nod. "Peachy"
Turning to the adventurer's,"Here,", tossing one of the potions to Kuori, handed the gold directly to the barbarian, and the other potion to Illya. "As thanks for the timely rescue. But, for the safety of those in Fumiyo's family farther ahead, and in Gladesdale; I need to know, how do you know Ying?"
Actions: removed items from pack. Shackled the mage, gave money to the barbarian, a potion to Kuori and a potion to Illya (O.C.C.: could we walk and talk on the way to the battle, as 2 members of the party has the condition known as heavy armor? That way when everyone is all vacationed out, we can jump straight into the battle. Just read Kow's last occ post)

The immediate threat over, Revenge would walk towards the new tiefling, placing a gauntleted hand on Ruin's shoulder. "Thank you."
Removing his hand, he would offer a slight apologetic shrug to Ruin and Illya. "My apologies. As you are probably now aware, we aren't just some lucky happenstance for you. We're in this region for a reason. But personally, I'm not comfortable with the idea of executing someone who, as far as I know, has only just put on their tabbard for the very first time this morning without knowledge of the crimes of his superiors, and is only guilty of association and of trying to defend himself from being horribly butchered." A pause. "If I later learn he is guilty of any unspeakable crimes, I'll gladly put him to the sword myself if need be, but not a moment before."
Nodding his head politely, he'd introduce himself. "My name is Revenge." To Illya, he'd add, "My wife calls herself Abby. I suspect you may be familiar with that name. She's a short ways away from here with some others."
Revenge would then turn his head and speak to Kuori. "Fumiyo... isn't that the name of the person Fox-girl... I mean, Hakka... was looking for? Or is my memory failing me?"
Turning back, and addressing Illya, he'd add, "I'm a paladin, and can lay hands on you if you'd rather save the potion. But for the sake of a former companion back at Lupa, if Fumiyo is endangered, I'd rather not dawdle any longer than I need to. Exposition can wait until later."

"Revenge, I'm usually all for rushing in head first, but I'm tired. I've seen Ying fight, and if Fumiyo is anything like Abby, Petra, Ying or Corsica, I think they can handle things for five minutes while I recover some arrows and give my body some time to recover from that blast. Potions are great," she holds it up to Ruin as if to say cheers, "But if the fight ahead is anything like the one back in Lupa, we may need them more for that. I mean, I can try to run and catch up, but I'm a little spent."
------- OOC translation: I would like my encounter powers back, so lets pause the fight, otherwise this could be rough.
Ruin's tail repeativly twitched back and forth, growing even more annoyed at the lack of an answer, dispute a long winded spew of mercy for the ignorant and being tired.
"Lets get something straight, I don't know any of you from the last Emperors of Bael Turath. And I gave you more than enough time to answer my question, to which you only evaded it, twice. If you are tired go to Gladesdale. We can break bread there, with the whole family. If you want take the mage with you, and I will reimburse you. I don't have time to rest and play games here, nor have the luxury of taking chances on strangers. That said, If you try to follow; I swear, faster than a vizor's career, I will treat you as. any. other. threat."(this is where I would have rolled my Intimadate check, if you where npc's)
"Illya, you can take Revenge's offer if you want, but lets go" He spoke as he re-summoned his cursed blade, before turning back to the adventurers. "Or if you could produce your wife, Revenge; If it is the same Abby as the one we were looking for, then maybe, we can help each other."

"Sadly, Abby is in the other direction - with others. And sorry, it's a long story. Too long, with lives at stake up ahead. For what it's worth, as a Paladin of Sehanine, you have my word that if you want someone who cares about Ying and Corsica and their friends..." He would point a finger at the exhausted Kuori. "It's her."
Seeing the state Kuori was in, he'd frown. The new Tiefling, who announced himself as Ruin, was ready to head off to battle. He was as well, though perhaps the two's motivations would vary greatly. But Kuori was pleading for a brief respite.
Looking to Twyla and Valac, he'd see where they would lean.

Twyla looked up from the shiny new health potion she'd picked up at the tieflings griping back and forth at each other. Maybe hot-bloodedness ran in their veins, one and all. She stopped her hum abruptly as she got up, pocketing the potion as she went.
"Hey," she said, jogging up on her short legs. "I'm sorry, I don't think we really introduced ourselves. I'm Twyla Rosanna Oxanna Raphaella Marcella Honeysuckle Jane, and uh, I myself don't know Ying and Corsica... or Fumiyo... or Hakka... or any of Bael Turath's emperors... but I do know that we're here to help out and make sure people are safe."
"If lives really are at stake, we have no time to wait. It's better to go all in one group and make a big entrance than trickle into the fight and let them pick us off." She would nod at the tiefling Ruin. "Don't think of it as following; think of it as coming with!"

Illya would politely thank Ruin for the potion and drink it. At the mention of Abby, Illya would perk up. "So Abby is okay, then? Thank goodness... Is Petra with her as well? We were on our way to find them. Fumiyo redirected us here on a rescue mission. Unfortunately we were ambushed from behind and now we are fighting for our lives. Ying, Corsica and all the rest of our sisters that Fumiyo has found are currently fighting over 50 Arian solders by this portal in this forest. Last thing we saw before we got separated was they... they hit Fumiyo with some sort of grenade. We need to get back to them now before it is too late. I-I cannot ask this of you, but if you help us we might be able to save everyone, but we cannot wait; otherwise please get Abby to somewhere safe."
The din of battle continues to rage just beyond the trees to the north, punctuated by occasional explosions and yelling. Illya turns, and unless stopped or talked to, will begin to run up the path towards the sound of battle. At the same time, the party hears the sound of something large moving through the forest behind them from direction they just came from. It sounds like it might be a wagon.

"I hate all of you." Kuori stood up and fixed her bow to her back. "I thought lover boy said the portal wasn't this way? That's supposed to be where we were heading." Kuori heads toward the wagon sounds. "If that's them I want to check on Abby and Petra, if they are safe we can use the wagon to get there faster. And we have 3 more bodies to fight with us"
"Whatever gets us to the battle faster. My blood barely pumped from that last fight and I'm keen to kill me some Arian's." Commented Valac

Ruin, Illya and Twyla move forward along the hidden road towards the sounds of battle. They disappear around a turn, leaving them out of sight of the rest of the group. The three of them can tell they are getting closer to the fight but still cant make out what is going on through the trees.
Valac and Revenge are left in the clearing with their unconscious prisoner while Kuori moves back in the direction they had come from to investigate the sound. She quickly finds the noise was indeed coming from Abby's wagon. As she had suspected, Abby had brought the wagon up the trail after them. Upon seeing the goliath she would call out. "Kuori, whats going on? Where are the others? Petra has convinced Arthur, so we have come to help!"

"Stay to the tree line, please... I try to get the others to regroup there." Ruin would say to Illya as he continued to run, ignoring Twyla's presence. Though, admittedly he wanted to make good on his word for following them thus far, but the dread of even that moment may mean the death to the others would stayed his blade for now...
