She sighed, struggling to maintain concentration through his jeering. It was hard to say she hadn't expected such a reaction, but easy to say she was still holding out hope. Even now. Intimidation wasn't going to work, but she still had one more point of candid honesty. Before that, though, she had little choice but to drop the giant ball of fire. Holding it aloft was hard enough, much less trying to form a cohesive argument at the same time. She would take a moment to bring it over to the likely centuries-unused fire pit before letting her concentration lapse and continue the conversation.
"You misunderstand. You had already earned the Samurai's attention when you killed a Jade Magistrate. Kill us or drive us away, it makes no difference. They know we are here and more will come. More Shugenja like me. A small army, sure, but more than enough to stop your masters and purify whatever darkness you are raising from the depths of these tormented lands. I am only giving you the chance to live in peace. Your masters will condemn your eternal spirit to Fu Leng's grasp, and without my help that Scorpion will see you sent to Jigoku much sooner. Help me, and I will help you."

Kagae sheathed his katana and reached down into the pit grabbing the young cultists collar. Holding tight and bracing himself on the edge he pulled hard and fast yanking him out of the pit with the sickening noises of spikes exiting the body.
"Can you walk or will I have to drag you?" Asked Kagae.

@ Masuyo & Kojiro:
On a roll of 6+, the fire pit still manages to light and the fire does not go out.
"I've helped you enough, I think. But if you need me to spell it out for you, fine: Come daybreak, when the man I serve realizes I have not reported back, they will come. If they find you still here, you will die. You will die horribly. Your friends are already dead; the fact that we are still here having this conversation is sign enough of that. There is nothing more for you here except more death."
He let out a huff and put his head to the ground. "Now, if you don't mind, if you aren't going to execute me, I'd like to get some sleep. We have nothing more to-"
A distant scream, not dissimilar to the one that woke you Masuyo, could be heard, except it was much briefer.
"Jigoku..." the man muttered as he sighed, thumping his head once against the floor.

Kagae would reach down, grabbing the man's collar, and unceremoniously tear the man out of the pit.
"W-Wait..." he started, before letting out a scream of agony and going limp right afterwards, blood now flowing more freely from his now-open wounds.
He was still alive, but unconscious. At the rate he was bleeding, he probably wouldn't survive more than a few minutes, tops.

Kagae.... The Scorpion mentally face palmed so hard it was as if Horiuchi Sayoko hit him on the back of the head. "....and who would your master be? Not that I expect him to have given you his real name.... but it gives us a nice frame of reference. Surely you've realized your place here was to give us information? Why else would they send a pair of mooks, but to test our defenses, and to gloat? "
Kojiro sat down on his haunches next to the fire."So there you are. Tell us things that us stupid servants of the Jade Magistrate cannot possibly hope to divine. If your master has us so in his power, then this is exactly what he has planned! Give your last few minutes meaning! It won't matter in the end if we're all dead come morning."

If Kojiro did not overhear the conversation, then he would get a repeat of it; a success on a roll that was already succeeded doesn't really grant more information.
Afterwards:
"No wonder you're better off dead than alive. I already told you all there is for me to tell you. Think about it: if I am a 'mook', as you call it, how would you expect me to have more information than the very basics? Use your head. Are you privy to all of your daimyo's most coveted schemes, or just of the details that he wants you to hear?"
He would pause. "If you know it's only a pair dispatched, then you guys managed to capture my nephew. I don't know what he saw that made him scream like that, but I recognized his voice. Apparently, that Crab must be giving him the same treatment he gave me. He's a lot more weak-willed than I; it is why I went ahead to do the deed here while he scouted around for that samurai that wandered off. He must have failed, and your Crab companion most likely has more than enough frivolous information to keep you occupied until morning."
He would yawn. "Speaking of which, you guys can plan all night for all I care. If you three are exhausted when the others come for me, then my sacrifice will be worth it. I'm going to get some shuteye." And with that, he closed his eyes and shifted around until he found a comfortable position, considering.

Okay! Okay. This isn't as bad as it looks. You can fix this. You're a Kaiu. You can fix anything.

Probably more than anything else, you need to stop that bleeding, and FAST. A water-based Shugenja would fix that real quick-like, but application of pressure to the wounds via bandages would be a good start. He has a wounded arm and two wounded legs, so getting those elevated would help delay the bleeding out process.

"Hmmm, how troublesome." Commented Kagae taking his pack off his back and taking out his tent. Cutting it into bandages for an improvised medicine he use his pack to lift the man's legs up while attempted to bandage the wounds while applying appropriate amounts of pressure.
<4k4 medicine vs tn 15 +5 for improvised medicine kit -5 free raise from the anatomy check. Result: 24 >

Kagae had stopped the bleeding and bound all of the man's wounds, he packed up his things, put on his pack and lifted the man out of there.

Masuyo was confounded. He didn't care. What sort of force could drive a man to willingly condemn himself, body and soul? Still, he was kind enough to offer a good point. If she didn't get rest she would be in very bad shape to deal with anything that might be coming in the morning. Or sooner. If appealing to his eternal soul did not make him see reason, nothing would. With a dismissive shrug she returned to her bedding and laid back down. She couldn't take much sleep, but she would have to claim "enough" before they had to move.

Kojiro shrugged as Masuyo tried to go back to sleep. "I'll stay up. It's my watch anyways."
Kojiro would wait until Masuyo fell asleep, and if nothing from Kagae disturbed him in the meantime, Kojiro would strangle the cultist with his Kusarigama, holding his mouth closed to make sure he didn't wake up Masuyo.
With that done, Kojiro would toss the spare kimono into the fire and keep a good watch for the rest of the morning.

The fire did not catch before and fizzled out after Masuyo dropped it, so you can keep your spare kimono, for now. It's warm enough that your bedding should be fine.
The man would wake with Kojiro's approach, watching every step closer as he would kneel. With the same chain out as before, it wasn't hard to puzzle out what the Scorpion's intentions were.
Fubuki, laying next to Masuyo, would also wake, watching Kojiro intently.
He would actually say nothing, even before his mouth was covered, but locked eyes with Kojiro, staring at him with determination as his airway was closed off. His eyes would widen but not close, not turn away, not even blink as his body became rigid involuntarily, and after half a minute of struggling, the body would go limp.
But the eyes would now remain open for eternity.
...
Oh hey, Kagae's back! Being Strength 2, he dragged with him a similarly-garbed man, albeit a generation younger, that... was wrapped in several discolored, bloodied cloths across much of his body? The young man was unconscious and pale (moreso than the other guy), presumably due to blood loss. At a glance he looked dead, but if he wasn't, he was in no position to threaten anyone, or possibly even wake up, in the near future.
Fubuki was now standing beside Masuyo, growling lowly at Kojiro, the hairs on its back arched. Masuyo is sleeping (though a raw perception vs Kojiro's stealth, with a free raise for Masuyo due to Fubuki) could change that; this roll on Masuyo's part is optional.

OOC: Need to stop editing things in the middle of the night. Forgot something ><
Kojiro would sigh as Fubuki growled at him. "I don't mean you harm, kitsune-san, nor do I mean your mistress any harm. "
With that, Kojiro would drop a bit of rice down as a treat for Fubuki and slowly and calmly back away.
When Kagae came, Kojiro would mutter to himself. "...not like I was going to get sleep anyways."

Kagae placed the new prisoner down and his pack down where he had it before. The noticing something was off he would nod at Kojiro and begin signing at him. He crossed his arms, drew a line across his neck and then pointed at the new prisoner. Hoping Kojiro received the message Kagae would begin taking his armour back off to go back to sleep.

Despite Kagae's strange gestures, Kojiro decided that if Kagae wanted someone dead, he wouldn't drag that person back to his own camp. So....Kojiro merely waited, on guard for anything more strange that could happen to them this morning.
