shia goes back to her room a little dazed and confused.... of course i obeyed... doesn't anyone obey if they are new to someone else's house, she thinks.... (of course... once she knows the lay of the land, so to speak... she may not be so tractable..... )

*She finds that the Void adheres to the wishes of a council of four creatures...the kings of each of the Void's four races...which is in turn headed by the Voidmaster...who is considered the arbiter for all decisions in the Void. She learns of soul-sorting, and the terrible power that Voidmages wield, as well as the thankless job they perform. She learns of the tests she had passed, designed to teach children who enter the Void that obeying their guardian is the best way to stay alive...she learns of the Void's illusions, and of it's four races, the tricksy wyverns, the misty wraiths, the immense wyrms, and the psychic wokrolths...when she reaches the children's section, she finds this explained in lesser detail, but with pictures...including one of the book's author...Kero*

that night at dinner she asks kerobian a troubling question... ok... i think i know what the void is about... but i'm not too clear on somethings... like me mom is a dragon and dragon are called wyrms, right.... and wyverns and wyrms are part of the void... yet both mom and uncle fiz don't come from here... mom took me someplace when i was little... it was all green and misty and really kind of cool but also very very dangerous... she wouldn't let me go out and play by meself... was it like the void?... not a world but a realm?

A fast reader, eh? Okay...Wyverns are a special race of the Void....a kind of eagle-like dragon native to this realm, known for their paralyzing venom, cunning natures, and their breath, which causes wracking coughs...Wyrms are simply giant serpents, relatives of Leviathan and Basilisks, with simple illusory powers.
As to where you went, there is no misty-green area in my Void...not that I know of, at least.

the reason i asked is because she treated me a lot like you are right now... very protective... like the area we were in was so different and all... she called it... el...el... dang i can't remember the name right now... it kind of sounded like her name though..... and she was someone important there, like you... only she got in a fight with some of her kin and she left in a huff... i've never seen her so mad... well... i have... when she was fighting loki she was angry, too.... but that was a hot anger... when she left there it was a cold hard anger... kind of scary iffin ye know what i mean....

now ye've given shia a few more things to think about... she really is an inquisitive child... just never wanted to learn about history and governance.... that sort of stuff...
she looks at you thoughtfully... i'll go play uncle kero, but can i ask one more question.... iffin ma and i can come here... why can't ye go there?
