Mizuki crawled out from under the table, scattering the broken shards of plastic across the tiles as he did so.
He hauled himself to his feet. Even the way he stood was something horrifically inhuman.
His shoulders rolled forwards and arms hanging limply, ape like almost. He started forwards, his legs at first stiff likie weights, a sort of shambling stagger. His breath came out in short and shallow rasps.
His face was so white it was stoney grey. His mouth hung open slightly as if he was no longer in control of his jaw.
His eyes were so blood shot they had that strange yellowish tinge of old blood to them, his pupils tiny pin pricks almost lost in the sea of his isis.
You could place him outside in a hoard of Crazies and no one would te4ll the difference.
And for all this - he was still human.
He was still Mizuki.

Mizuki had been infected since day one.
Since the virius first began to breed in his presinct. He had been a host, along with countless others ranging friom the homeless in the gutters, the drug addicts boarded up in their own filth, to the little old lady down the hall whom Mizuki had heard beating her beloved cat against the wall again and again until it was no longer thudding so much as a the slap of wet meat.
And yet, the virius had moulded to him. Become just a part of his DNA as his hair colour or his eyes. It had cured him of his heart condition and given him so much more. His hightened senses, his strength and speed.
But it had harmed him all the more. Cursed him with the Hunger and Rage that had engulfed all the other infected right from the word go.
And why? Because they had no defenses against it now.
Mizuki understood now, sort of, as he shuddered and staggered across the canteen, slow breaths, that he was to some degree made immune.

He was in the equilibrium.
Equilibrium: State of rest produced by the counteraction of forces; balance.
The ill effects of the virius versus his new virius powered immunity. There had been a spark, chemical reaction between the two in his body.
The result: his Hunger, his Rage. And now, there was peace.
Around him were the shattered remains of chairs that he had torn apart when really he had saught to render flesh from bone. He was filled with snacks and wrappers when he had really lusted for organic matter, blood, marrow. But as he had sated both primal urges, the reaction had run its course and fizzled out.
Leaving this hunkered shaking mess of a man in its wake.
His knees gave way under the sudden unbareable weight of his body and on his hands and knees he retched.
His abused throat bringing back up the bile soaked scraps of plastic packaging that his stomach could not bare to digest.
He shook terribly, staring down at the glistening wrappers beneath his line of sight, but he did not whimper.
He would not allow himself that sign of weakness.
Forcing himself to his feet he removed the tattered bloodied mess that was his shirt and cleared his mouth upon it, using it to sweep up the mess of wrappers and bile. He scrunched it into a ball and, without any satisfaction, threw it like a basket ball into the bin three tables across.
He felt dirty.
And not just because his skin was slick with sweat, dirt and dried blood. The filth was in his veins.
He staggered back and fell into one of the chairs he had not used to calm his urges. Lifting the shotgun he placed the cool rounded barrell into his mouth and placed his finger on the trigger.
It was a stretch. And though he had half expected it to, the cold unforgiving metal between his lips felt far from comforting.
He understood now, what he was. Or to some extent.
He biological time bomb. A human with human emotions and at the same time a monster that sought to destroy everything he held dear.
Could he trust himself in the company of those upstairs, those he now had come to know as 'friends', perhaps his first true friends ever, knowing that the next time he got hungry, or angry, he could revert back into this Mr Hyde and seek to destroy them?
He clicked off the safety.
Surely he was doing them a favour. And yet, another voice in the back of his mind was screaming at him not to do it.
He thought of the siblings. How he'd helped them so much and they in turn helped him in their own way. They were relying on him to be there for them. They all were.
The humans were minority and they had to stick together to see things through.
He frowned and lowered the gun from inside his mouth, merely resting the barrell lip against his own.
He began to calm, all remnants of Hunger and Rage completely ebbing themselves away.
He'd managed to spare them all by simply removing himself from temptations. By knowing and actively placing himself away from them he had showed some sort of control surely.
No. I won't blow myself away. I'd be lying if I said I wanted to die. Especially not like this. I'll stay around. I'll help anyway I can - and I won't let them know a thing.
He thought about what Garath and Kalila had said about killing him once they were certain he was infected. What would they do if they knew he was already a virius carrier, and had been since the start. No. He wouldn't tell them a thing. This'd be his little secret.
Somehow I don't think they'd understand. . .

((Ah... Apparently you two new ones didn't notice the invite to be a part of the group. Well... If our characters are going to become a part of the group I would like you guys to make it... Because you guys didn't notice mine ;_; ))

Nina rolled her shoulders and sat back down on the bed. She took a glance at Garath and sighed. "What's the plan now? We have to... Do something... We'll need stuff." Nina said half heartedly. She flipped over to her stomach and watched the television. "Oh great... The virus spread. New York's out completely, not just the NYC area... We gotta get out of here..." She mumbled to herself.
Nicholas glanced at the the screen as well. "Yeah... New York's been out since I was watching. Apparently it started spreading West... It got into Illinois and Missouri..." He informed, seating himseld in front of the T.V.
"That's freakin' great..." Kalila whispered saracastically to herself. She ran a hand through her ringlets of hair and tossled it back. "I'm gonna go check on Mizuki..." Kalila told them walking towards the door. Nicholas rolled his eyes.
"Take your time." Nina said, trying to make it sound innocent.
Kalila sneered and picked up a stuffed animal on Nina's desk and threw it at her she left and closed the door. She heard a laughs from inside, definately Nina and Nicholas.

Kalila descended the stairs, her hand skimming the rail to her left. As she made it to the last stair she stopped and went completely ridged. She heard a gutteral noise. Her mind raced with possiblities. But, she consentrated long enough to listen to it a little more intently and knew it was someone throwing up. Oh God... Mizuki... she thought sadly. Apparently he couldn't keep food in himself. Maybe he's bulimic... Kalila mused for a second before coming to her senses. Now isn't the time to ponder... Go! She ordered herself and made herself walk towards the breakfast area.
As she reached it, her eyes widened with shock. She had been quiet, not wanting to startle him. There was a mess, ignoring the bile even. Chairs and tables thrown about; some broken things. Anger incarnate. The bile on the floor had looked barely like bile. It looked more like someone just chewed up food and spit it out. There was no chance for it to be digested, just a little. Kalila saw the wrappers in it, but it didn't phase her at all. She just assumed there were wrappers on the ground before he threw up. Her mind didn't even stop to wonder 'if so then why is it weaved within the throw up.' Because, when her eyes found Mizuki, her entire body spasmed twice. He had his shotgun to his lips. This whole thing looked like a scene from a badly depressing movie. She begged herself to move and finally she did. Her feet dragged her forward and her hands were out. Her lips were pursed in an effort not to cry. She now stood in front of Mizuki. Kalila looked him in the eyes and pulled the barrel gentally from against in lip.
"Are you ok...?" Kalila asked, her voice cracking with the beginning stages of crying. He's infected isn't he...? She thought sadly. Maybe he's just emo! You just have to beat that f*ck out of him... her mind chimmed trying to comfort her. She pushed the thought from her mind because it wasn't working. Maybe... He's been infected all along. Maybe he just wanted to do something to the rest of those things before he turned... Kalila's mind had changed to making sense of things instead. She looked at his torso, for the first time noticing his shirt wasn't on. The gashes were very visible, specially the thread holding them together. Kalila just barely held herself from gagging, but the end of her spine still tingled uncomforably so she chose to stare at the floor instead. "Why... Why don't we clean all this... and you... up, eh?" She mumbled, pausing everytime she felt tears would spill out her eyes if she continued. She was bad at talking and holding back tears at the same time.

Nicholas and Nina were still upstairs and still watching the news. A lady doctor was being interviewed by one of the reporters of the station. Nicholas and Nina where watching intently.
"Ma'am what is being done by your group to find a vaccine prevention or cure for the virus?" The reporter asked very fromally. But underneith you could see his own desire to know bubbling up.
"We are doing all we can. Money doesn't seem to be an issue anymore since everything is falling apart. We are researching, that's all we can do. We are trying experiments, but not very many. The situation is much to dangerous to try anything without many precautious measures..." the doctor said. She seemed to be nervous, not like when some got interviewed normally. "We think that there could be a couple of people who carry the virus, but aren't succumbed to being infected." The doctor continued, her eyes darting around nervously, like a bird. "Like when the Bird flu happened." She said, trying to make it easier to understand. "It mutated and got into people, but some people didn't show any symtoms. If we can find people like that... We could use it to... research and find a vaccine or cure!" She said excitedly.
"So how do you plan to find people like that? Many of the infected areas are quarantined. These survivors of the virus could have died from being eaten, not transforming themselves." The reported retorted leaning in forward with a hand to his chin.
"Um... Well, we have a few very brave doctors and military personel who have been sent into quarantined areas to hunt up a person who carries but hasn't transformed, passed the three day limit, of course." The woman said getting more confident the deeper she got. "We... Are also researching and testing on birds. They seem to be, so far, the only animal that cannot get infected by the virus." She said with a nod of her head.
"Interesting..." The reporter continued, but Nicholas didn't pay attention anymore. He turned to look at Nina. "Maybe the human race could get past this... A cure could be found if the doctors keep safe long enough."
"Oh for sure!" Nina said with a smile. "I don't doubt for a minute. We're definately gonna survive this." She said, meaning humanity with "we" more than their little group.

Mizuki had not noticed Kalila's enterence, too dissolved in his own thoughts.
And then suddenly, his eyes came through the fog of deep concentration and he saw her stood before him, eyes wet with held back tears and her lips pursed.
He started in shock slightly where he sat, noticing that the gun was no longer in his hands but hers. Had he dazed out so completely that he hadn't noticed an item being shifted from his person. That would be something he'd have to work on. Especially now he had decided to stay and fight. Couldn't go off day dreaming in the middle of an attack.
Then a horrific thought struck him. Kalila was stood there looking tearful with a gun in her hands. Mizuki saw no other explanation. She had come in and seen the mess of chairs, smelt the bile despite his best efforts of cleaning it up with his shirt. She had put two and two together and now had come down here to put him out of his misery.

Since calming down from his 'episode' and surfacing from that equilibrium, Mizuki's eyes were no longer bloodshot. They looked quite red and sore around the edges but no longer had a slight yellow tinge. His pupils were now wide visible orbs of fear, certain that the very people he'd stayed alive for where gunna slug him in the head anyway. His complexion was not much better. He was pale still, as could be expected from so much blood loss - but it no longer had a strange greyish hue to it. His breathing had been normal, but now was coming out faster, like a frightened rabbit looking down the barrell of some farmer.
As she spoke he twitched where he sat.
Are you ok...?
Some kind of test? He could see it in her face that she feared the worse. I mean, who wouldn't after seeing this mess.
Before he could think of a suitable answer she turned her head away and changed the subject.
He could hear the sobs hitching on her words and it was painful to listen to. He grit his teeth and without thinking reached up and laid a hand upon her shoulder.
"It's ok." He said without thinking.
Only after did he see the sort of funny irony in those words. They were the words people used when everything was not okay.
Oh, my parents are dead by my hand, and I wouldn't be suprised if yours were Crazy Chow by now, but it's okay.
It's the Apocolypse and we're all gunna die in gruesome ways not even fit for some sick horror flick, but its okay.
I might flip out at any second and crack open your skull, but I'm sticking with you because I'm lonely - but everything is ******** looked at her shyly and stood.
"I thought for sure you were gunna shoot me." He said with a light hearted humour. Then looking around he sighed.
It was gunna be hard to explain this without lying, and he felt wrong about lying to Kalila. He'd feel bad about lying to Nick too since they were the first people he'd hooked up with since this Nightmare began. He was sure he could blatently lie to anyone else and not feel a thing though...
But around the siblings - he'd have to word himself very carefully.
"I thought I was infected y'know." He said. There was truth in it - he wasn't lying.
"But now I don't think I am. It's a bit like cancer I suppose, sufferers know there is something wrong inside them before they even get the bad news. I don't feel any different at all. I feel the same as I did before this all started." Still, only part lie. Majoritive truth. Therefore he shouldn't feel guilty at all. And he didn't.
"And then I just got so angry. If I've made it this far - me, of all people- how come all the stronger people haven't? My dad was a strong guy. He dragged me up right against all the odds my health posed. He made sure I was a better person. And still, him and my mum were the first Crazies I was ever forced to contend with." This was all truth. And somehow, he felt better for getting the news of his parents off his chest - if only in brief.
There was definate emotion in his voice now. Misery and despair in their rawest forms. And though he could feel tears stabbing brutally at his eyes he efused to let them fall. He was the adult here. He'd be strong for her so she wouldn't cry.
Mizuki was never any good at handling delicate social situations.
"I just - flipped out. Smashed stuff to make me feel better. Then I figured, if this is as good as it gets, fighting for your life on a daily basis, with nothing waiting for you at the end - what's the point." This wasn't exactly a lie. He did feel that way in some respects. "Then I thought of you guys upstairs, and how few of us there are already."
He could tell he was getting hismelf all worked up and upset and cut short.
He shook his head and forced a grin, for the first time feeling self concious about being topless in the presence of a girl.
"Let's just head upstairs yeah? I need a shower and a clean shirt - and then we can get talking about getting supplies from the DIY. Like we were gunna do. Before you two clunked me over the head."
He treated her to a slight accusing smirk and ruffled her hair gently before indicating the stair way that was visible through the open door.

((Sorry if this isn't very good. My computer internet froze when I was typing it out... So I had to close it and redo it))

Kalila gave a sad smile to Mizuki at his response Everything is not alright! she screamed in her head. Mizuki, you proved it... You're the one who just tried to die... Kalila looked at the hand placed on her shoulder. It's a lie... she thought sadly. Just one of those things people do to calm you down... When in actuality there is no reason to calm down. She continued to listen as Mizuki spoke anyway.
"Oh no... Never!" Kalila responded quickly to his theory. Kalila could never have done something like that because she wouldn't be able to live with herself. She would make sure someone else did it. If it had to be done and no one else would do it, and her brother's life was at risk, she could do it, after everyone else convinced her. Right now that was her priority: Her brother's life, Nina and Mizuki's, Garath's, and then her life.

One tear escaped Kalila and, alone, slid down her cheek as he spoke. She wiped it away immediately, still paying attention to Mizuki.
He explained himself further. He told of his anger, his parents, his reason to kill himself, his reason not to. Kalila's bottom lip began to tremble and she let out a sob. Her tears finally fell, all at once, and she knuckled her eyes. She felt like she had no control of herself and hate it. She tried to make herself stop. Crying only makes others sad too... It'll make the situation seem hopeless, and it's not! Kalila triend to convince herself. She was always an emotional person, wearing her emotions on her sleeves, though she didn't want to. But she just couldn't help it! He had to kill his parents! They tranformed into one of those... things! she thought with a mental sob. She had to work very hard to stifle it from becoming a real sob. She would have never been able to live going through that. Not survival-live, that was easy after going through such an ordeal, but emotionally live. All this time she had been calling the infected people "zombies." But they weren't exactly, so she had tried infected... And that didn't quite work either. They were something inbetween, something more, and that's why no one was surviving, everyone was dying because they didn't know just how to treat them. A thought flashed through her mind, Are my parents alive...? She pushed the thought out her mind with a quick response to it. Yes, they had no reason for going out... Zombies had no reason to come in
Kalila felt a tinge of honor for herself and the others to know they were part of the reason someone who went through such Hell decided not to kill themself. But that was quickly snuffed out by her low self-esteem, arguing it was just because she was among the last human's left of their dying species. Then all of a sudden Mizuki grinned, and it looked almost real, but, of course, closer inspection showed it was forced.
"Ah- of course!" Kalila responded with an embarrassed blush at Mizuki's last statement and the smirk. But, then he ruffled her hair and she smiled a genuine smile, calming down a little. People do that kind of thing when they're ok with it... They have put it behind them. her mind reasoned.
Kalila walked towards the staircase. But then she rememberd something had her hands gripped. She, perhaps, had walked seven steps before coming to a sudden stop and turning around. She faced Mizuki and looked him in the eyes for a few seconds then narrowed them a little. "I'm giving this back to you..." She said handing the shotgun to Mizuki, butt/stock first. "But you have to promise me you won't kill yourself. I know that is selfish of me... You've been through so much. But, I'm not letting any of that emo sh*t happen on my watch." She said with a joking smile, trying to lighten the mood. Despite all this, she held the gun firmly, still holding it out for him to take, until he promised and it seemed real to her. She had put the safety on as soon as she had taken it. She had bad luck with that kind of thing so she was very cautious.

[No, no that is fine ^^. Would you like me to post now?]

]Mizuki looked at Kalila and felt his gut wrench as she began to cry.
Noooo! he cried mentally in despair. Don't cry! I don't know what the ******** to doooooo!!!
And so he stood there like a lemon, pretending to some degree that he hadn't noticed. His cheeks burning with guilt the whole time.
It was good to know that she hadn't wanted to shoot him though.

As she perked up Mizuki found it easier to talk to her.
He could tell from her face all the things that were going through her mind. Here was a girl that was as open as a book despite her valliant attempts to be brave for her and her brother. And Mizuki, though not a naturally emotional person himself, felt deep admiration for her ability to do so.
He now felt very bad for bringing up his parents. Even more so because he'd got some gratification out of doing so. She was no doubt musing over her own families fate right now and that was his fault. Had he not mentioned a thing then maybe. . .
No. It was perfectly natural to worry about the ones you loved at such a time as this. It wouldn't be down to him. He guessed, in some ways, it was a blessing for him not to have anyone he loved to worry about. Less distractions.
But was that so true anymore? When he was alone in the flat it had been. He'd had no one but number one to look out for and was more willing to take bigger risks.
Would he be able to put himself in so much danger now that he had the others too look out for? He didn't know. Only time would tell.

Mizuki started out towards the stairs after Kalila feeling slightly more uplifted. True, his knew found knowledge of identity was a heavy weight of doubt nagging endlessly in the back of his mind - but now he had a sense of purpose to drown it out with. And Kalila seemed to want him around, hence the not wanting to shoot him.
Then she rounded again to face him and he flinched slightly as she held the gun out to him, thinking for the briefest moments that it had all been a trick to lure him in and she was gunna blast his as off after all. . .
But they he noticed she was holding the butt towards him and he instantly felt pretty damn stupid.
He looked at her face and the tell tale glisten of tears lurking across those already reddened optics and frowned, his shoulders sagging.
He was overcome with a strange emotion. Concern he thought.
"Of course not! Oh - come here!"
Grabbing the butt of the gun he pulled her towards him and bringing round his free arm, wrapped it round her shoulders pulling her into a tight hug against his chest.
He immediately thought better of it. He was sweaty and smelly and just all ick and this was probably very uncomfortable for her. It was just for a stupid moment in time he'd thought a hug would make her feel better.
He stepped off and took the gun fully from her, ruffling the back of his head uncomfortably a slight blush on his features.
"Sorry about that. I probably stink." Grinning he started up the stairs ahead of her. "You better hope Nina has a working shower or we'll be needing those face masks sooner than ya' think!"

((Sorry about that! Yeah... Thanks for posting!))
((Oh and Crimson... You might want to edit that post Jupiter responded to your character))

Kalila mouth was in a suprised o and her eyes went wide. She had been completely caught off guard and a blush now played on her cheeks. She was happier now, but that just didn't work. Everytime someone hugs you in understanding you just want to hug them back and cry your eyes out... To make you self feel better. That's exactly what I want to do! Kalila thought her bottom lip trembled again, but this time she put all her effort in not crying. She was just happy he wasn't gonna try that again. She could have swore if she had to witness anything like that she would have thrown up her own heart. She lightly hugged him back, not wanting to scare him. But, she would have liked to crush herself to him and cry until she had no more tears to cry. All of this was finally starting to feel like reality.
He pulled apart from her and she looked up at him. He was blushing That's right... He's not use to this kind of thing. She mused. Realizing she should probably hide her blushing face as well she took up looking at her shoes, all of sudden finding them very interesting. She on the other hand was very use to this sort of thing. Not dating relationships... She was low level in that. But loving hugs and calming people with affection. Her friends and whole family were very affectionate, and she specially to her brother. Of course her brother was getting older and everytime she hugged him and pinched his cheeks in public he was very embarssed.

"Oh no! Don't think that!" Kalila said quickly, blushing herself, but she couldn't help but laugh. They way he put it was very comedic. She felt terribly rude, and she didn't want to be. She tailed him up the stairs. "Electricity, running water and what not should work for a couple days before everything dies off..." She said still smiling from laughing, but said it on a serious note. "You have clothes in your bag upstairs, right? If not we could dig through some of Nina's dad's stuff and some of my brother's..." She added, planning ahead. "Plus you should get cleaned up... Your gashes- um stitches," She started, the tingle on the bottom of her spine still made it's presence known. "were alcohol cleaned, but the rest of your body could get it reinfected, specially if sweat gets in ir on it... So take a good, clean shower." She said, her tone turning caring, almost motherly. She couldn't help it, it was her nature.

Crimson gave smirked and said with a raised eyebrow, "I need help? When did I ever say that?"

She raised herself into the window, sitting on her hunches. Appraising him, smiled, seeing how ragged her looked, and sensing his emotions were on the fritz.

"I'm Crimson. I suppose your also a victim on the run, slaughtering what doesn't want to die?"

Mizuki started once more up the stairs. He had half expected his legs to be as heavy as they were earlier when he was in a state of aftermath.
But his body seemed to have recovered completely. All the over exertion of throwing and tearing apart plastic hadn't torn his wounds at all which he was both delighted and partially terrified by. That could either mean the wounds would not heal, or that he was healing remarkably well. He was by no means healer faster than usual per say. But a quick probing with his finger tips told him that the flesh around the wounds were not at all tender and weepy as they should be Infact it was hard and fortified as the rest of his skin, providing sturdy boundries for the platlets of his blood to steadily work with. He smiled pleasantly.
At least it didn't hurt so much anymore. He was sure had he poked the raw innards of the wound it would have killed like a b*****d, but luckily the stitches were preventing anything from accessing those places.
He could feel the skin twitching and pulling around the stitches but that was to be expected. He remembered the stitches he'd had under his chin when he had got into a particularly violent spar with his Dad and his dad's foot had connected with his chin accidentally, but so hard that the skin split wide open.
His mother had ben mortified but his father had claimed that it was a character builder and had yelled at Mizuki when he had cried.
A smile met his lips and despite his best efforts a tears began to spill from his eyes.
He kept his head turned away from Kalila. He didn't wish to appear like a p***y.
But he knew he'd have to break down at one point. He had never allowed himself time to grieve them. He knew that enevitably he would break down some time, he'd just try to put it off until there was a time, if there was a time when it didn't matter anymore.

His tears contiued slowly and rythmically, but wholly silent, as she spoke a few steps behind him. Damn. If only his father could see him now.
He'd get the s**t kicked out of him.
He utter a very quiet and watery chuckle.
Then as Kalila contiuned he laughed louder, no evidence of any tears audible.
"Listen to you." He said cheekily. "You've got one hell of a maternal streak. Yes, I have clothes in that bag. I knew I was likely to get scraped and torn and smelly along the way so I backed two spare outifts. I planned to raid the nearest decent store. No way, even in an apocolypse, am I strutting around in burberry scarves and track suit bottoms."
He stretched and wiped his face clear on his arms as they drew level with the door.
He knocked.

It was only after he knocked and imagined Nina on the other side that he started to get very uncomfortable and selfconcious about the fact he was topless.
In all reality he had no reason to be as such, he was naturally slender with prominant hips, but he had a definate signs of a six pack and his arms, though thin, had strong muscular biceps from all his previous life of training with his father. But Mizuki didn't see it as such. He suddenly felt very indecent. His mother had been very strict in enforcing morals upon her son from a young age.

Mizuki was very good at hiding his tears, because Kalila didn't expect a thing. She almost did at the first laugh. Didn't cry...? That's not possible. He probably did earlier... Before he met us. And if he didn't: He will soon. Kalila thought as soon as she heard the first laugh. He'll explode if he doesn't, seen it happen a million times... She added mentally. Kalila didn't know why, but for her friends, and even a lot of acquaintances, she was the one to go with their problems. If they have to get something off their shoulders, they go to Kalila. If they are having any type of emotional problem, they go to Kalila. If they need life advice, they go to Kalila. Even when they needed to talk or get advice about realtionship, they came to Kalila, who hadn't been in a relationship ever. But she did talk to them, she did advice them, she listened, all to the best of her knowledge. And she was good. She had not idea why, but she was. It almost seem to come naturally. So Kalila saw many problems, and she knew some remedies to them, but particularly she knew what you weren't suppose to do. And most definately, you weren't suppose to bottle up sadness or anger. Mizuki is good at exploding with rage, but still at least he got it out of his system... What about his sadness? she thought with a slight pout on her face. But it was nothing too destinguishable. But, the second laugh erased her mind of the theory. It didn't sound like he was crying at all. Then he spoke.

"Oh-" She said and she continued fumbling with her words, "Yeah... My mom says it's my nature." She said mumbled a sheepish smile. When she spoke to her mother she called her "mommy," But when she refered to her she called her "mom." She smiled and said "But, I think it's from taking care of my brother since he was little." She didn't go into greater detail, seeing it as just that: details. She laughed at Mizuki's comment of fashion. She felt the same way, her bag was stuffed with her greatest gothic creations.
Kalila had been, without realizing exactly what she was doing, looking over Mizuki's toned body. At least, what she could see of it, which was his back. He was already well built, but the scars just made him look manlier. Kalila flushed at the thought and looked to the ground. He knocked on the door and they both waited.

There was a annoyed sigh from inside. Then a creak and some foot steps. Finally the door opened. It was Nina.
At first she was taken aback by the sudden barage of skin in front of her, not exactly sure what it was she was seeing. Then has her mind processed a smirk found it's way onto her face. She looked to Kalila and winked, without even trying to hide it.

Kalila put her hand to her cheek, a stressed motion. She's gonna freak him out! she thought with a mental pout.
"Hi there..." She said looking at Mizuki. Her eyes were gliding all over his body, but in little spurts. As if, she was trying not ot but couldn't help it. She moved off to the side to let the two outside her room in.
Kalila grabbed Mizuki's hand in a comforting motion and squeezed a little for reassurance. Nicholas looked up to see what all the commotion was about.
"Dude! Put a shirt on! You're fit, that's great!" Nicholas said annoyed. "Doesn't mean you have to show it off! God, you're amoungst girls..." he said giving a warning glance to Kalila. She still stood behind Mizuki and made a motion with her arms to say "What?!" and mouthed it too.
"It's not like that..." Kalila said calmly, though her oice shivered a little once. " The shirt he was wearing had holes in it from the claws, blood all over it that could have gotten his wounds infected, and in general dirt... that could have done the same thing. So he's gonna get cleaned up..."
"Ah well then..." Nina said with a bit of laughter in her voice, she was still grinning. She took her time to look Mizuki over when he wasn't paying attention to her.
"Ok... Here's your bag dude." Nicholas said placing the bag a little ways away from him and pushing it towards Mizuki without getting up.

Mizuki stood there with his shot gun at his side, hanging from the strap that resting against the contours of his bare firm flesh. He looked at Nina a bit taken aback.
He had begun to feel nervous moments before she opened the door, and now - with her eyes probing every inch of his bare flesh he felt even more out of his depth.
Completely so.
He missed the wink completely. For all his maturity and ability to cope under extreme pressure, he was painfully naive when it came to girls and the way they worked.
He started forwards slightly, feeling, for the first time since he killed the man in his flat, completely vunerable.
Obviously his eyes were not red from his tears, which was good, or Nina would have commented.
Still, he thought - his stomach squirming uncomfortably- her eyes weren't exactly concentrating on his face.
His nervousness at being so exposed was not helped in the slightest by Nicholas' outburst. In fact he felt terrible.
He turned his head away from the younger boy as if he had done something terribly wrong and was about to hang his head in shame when a hand snaked into his.
On that little squeeze Mizuki felt himself regain some confidence and cast his gaze back to Nick with a wide grin.
"Exactly Nicky boy." He said slyly. "I'm amongst girls." He gave the young boy a sly wink that radiated a confidence that he definately didn't feel too much at that moment - but Mizuki was expert at putting on a fascade of feeling better than he did. One he'd learnt from spars with his dad.

As Nick came over with his bag, Mizuki accepted it. As his shirt was off when he accepted the heavy sack one handed his bicep flexed noticeably. He saw this in absolute horror and turned hoped against hope that the girls hadn't notice.
He could joke around with another guy, but girls worked different.
He coughed awkwardly and ruffled the back of his head before looking around. The bathroom door was slightly ajar and he spotted the rim of a toilet with a relief so strong he had to stop himself legging it for the open door way.
"That'll be the bathroom then. I'm gunna go get cleaned up. See you guys in a bit."
He heaved his bag over his other shoulder and headed off for the open doorway at a brisk pace that he hoped didn't seem too desperate.
If they picked up on it he could just say that he really wanted to get cleaned up. . .

He shut the door behind him and was relieved to see there was an old slide in place lock. It didn't look too safe. Like a little door wriggling would shift it out of place. But he doubted very much that even a bird like Nina was that forwards.
He placed down the toilet seat and rested his bag and gun upon it, butt pointed towards the shower within easy reach. He turned on the shower, delighted to find there was still hot water. He was at first a little reluctant about stripping in a strangers abode, but the thought of being clean was too alluring. And so shrugging off his dirty clothes he stepped under the spray. As the hot water his his skin he shuddered, a small murmur of delight issuing from his lips as he reached up and ran his fingers through his hair. When he'd got his stitches before the Doctor had advised not letting water touch them for a good three days. But Mizuki would be ******** if he was gunna wallow in his own dirt another three days. Looking around he spotted brightly coloured bottles of girly shampoos and conditioners, each that promised silky shiny locks after just one wash and had really over the top and extravagant names. Grinning, water seeping between his lips, he selected one at random and began to cleanse.

Mizuki was sure that the hot water left was limited and was reluctant to use very much. He showered thouroughly and quickly taking only a few minutes.
Turning off the shower he shook his head, spraying the tiles with dewlets from his hair. He felt fantastic! Clean and better than he had for a while. He'd only had cold water to bathe in back in his flat.
Stepping out he selected a fluffy pink towel from the rack and gave his hair a vigourously rub before tying it firmly about his waist as he began sifting through his bag for a fresh outfit.

Nina twitched and her eyes had widened considerably as she saw Mizuki's arm muscles flex. She gave a look to Kalila that read something like "We have to talk." Kalila on the other hand flinched, her hand automatically coming to her mouth in awe. Mizuki hadn't been paying attention to them, so they were safe from that.
Nicholas was slightly annoyed at being called "Nicky" and mumbled something about it, but other then that he had laughed it off. Nina had completely fallen for the whole "I'm confident" show he put on and smiled again.

As soon as the door had shut and the two young women were sure he was not paying attention anymore they ran to each other and squealed quietly.
"Oh my GOD, Kalila! You hit the jackpot!" Nina whispered loudly, her arms shaking, her hands in fists close to her face.
Kalila really couldn't manage to say anything much, is sounded kind of like "No it's not like that!" but it came out in a girly squeal. Her hands were clasped together and her whole body was shaking.
Nicholas took one look at the girls, laughed, rolled his eyes, and went back to watch the television. Girls... They're so easily amused... he thought with a mental sigh.
"No... No. Seriously Nina I have to tell you something!" Kalila said calmly, finally getting out of her "Freak out mode." She looked Nina in the eye and said seriously. "Stop that! He's so shy about this whole sort of thing... You're gonna freak him out!" She whispered, her hands positioned on her hips.
"Ha ha! Yeah right..." Nina said sarcastically. "You heard what he said..." giving a look to Kalila that made her look away.
"No, no, no." She said quickly. "I'm sure that was a front... He was freaking out inside, I know it..." She mumbled, walking over to Nina's bed and sitting on it, seeing as Garath was out cold on the couch. "That's the reason I took his hand... He needed to calmed down..."
"Oh! So you grabbed his hand." Nina blurted out, amused. She had completely missed it. And now Kalila's given me more to tease her about... she mused happily.
"God, Kalila, control your hormones..." Nicholas piped up with a smirk.
"No, stop!" Kalila ordered pleadingly.

Taking pity on his sister Nicholas decided to change the subject. "On the news... When you two were out." He said pointing to the bathroom door with his nose. "There was something on the news about research for a cure or vaccine..." He informed, crossing his arms.
"Oh?" Kalila said, genuinely interested, but also taking the clue from her brother and joing the changed subject matter.
"Yeah..." Nina said with a slight frown, she was enjoying herself with teasing. But, this matter was important so she decided to tell Kalila. She spoke of the interview the reporter had with the doctor and everything that was said. "That sounds awesome to me. There should be a cure in no time." Nina said happily, her optimism shining through.
Kalila nodded and looked towards Nicholas. Not really at him, more through him. Hmm... I wonder... Is Mizuki really infected despite what he thinks? Maybe he's one of these "Carriers" they were talking about. She thought tapping her lips with her index finger. But she was quickly brought out her thoughts when she noticed Nina creeping towards the bathroom door.
"Nina! What in Gods name are you doing!?" Kalila whispered loudly, and urgently.
"Oh relax! Not what you think!" Nina said, rolling her eyes. "But, I know how much you want it to happen." She said with a grin. Kalila just pouted. She had been going for the dry erase board which was near the door. She picked it up and handed it to Kalila after walking to her. "We need this stuff... Anything you wanna add?"
She looked it over and shrugged. "Not really..."

Crimson Akane Ryuu
Crimson gave smirked and said with a raised eyebrow, "I need help? When did I ever say that?"

She raised herself into the window, sitting on her hunches. Appraising him, smiled, seeing how ragged her looked, and sensing his emotions were on the fritz.

"I'm Crimson. I suppose your also a victim on the run, slaughtering what doesn't want to die?"

Smiling, Reshion looked at her swords.
"Where could she have got those?" He thought to himself.
"Same here." He dropped the bag of clips, which made a clunk, and transferred more clips from the bag to his side pack.
He took a deep breath. "Renshion." He simply said, hoisting the bag back to his back. His muscles spamsed, and he fell to the floor, writhing in pain.

Mizuki selected a pair of baggy jeans from his bag. He had more extravagant items in there, such as trouseres that cut off at the thigh and clipped to the rest of the leg with straps just above the knee. And items with bondage straps and such. But despite his love for these clothes - he knew the importance of keeping skin covered. At a time like this fashion like that was completely out of the question. You could get bondage straps caught on things as you were running causing a fatal fall. Skin coverage was essential now he knew the virus was transmitted through fluids. Also it helped against cuts and scrapes when throwing yourself across town at break neck speeds.
There were baggy but he held them tightly in place around his hips with studded belt which, he thought, could double as a weapon. The jeans did have frayed holes in them for design, but these were packed by purple tartan fabric, the largest of which held the Sex Pot Revenge logo. He rolled the jeans up in cuffs about his ankles and stuck his feet into worn out vans. They had once had checkered patterns of skulls on but were not so splattered and scuffed you could hardly see. But they had awesome grip.
A simple long sleeved black cotton shirt under a strange designed black t-shirt and he was good to go.
He was covered as much as he could.

He stuffed everything into his bag, hoisted his shotgun and walked back into the room.
His dakr hair was still wet and clung to his face, his expression set like stone into one of grim determination.
He'd been thinking in there. He knew he only had limited times of being just Mizuki in which he could help. As soon as the Hunger or the Rage started to kick in, edging towards difficult to control, he would seperate himself from the group. In that time he was in control he wanted to do as much as he ******** could to make sure this group had everything they needed.
He looked at them and rested his bag on the table and started taking out handfuls of shells and putting them in the small bag that was built into the side of his jeans.
"I'm gunna head out to the DIY store now. Get some gloves, masks and goggles for each of us." He did a mental headcount. "Five pairs of each." He reached over the kicthen counter and grabbed a plastic carrier bag and stuffed it in his pocket. Slinging the gun strap over his shoulder he caught sight of the board.
"You want me to grab some food too whilst I am out?"
