My lace bow is complete! Since I have a bit of Gothic lolita stuffs I decided to make a black lace bow. It's not really an alice bow I suppose but I actually already had the bow but it was origionally a lace headband with a bow but I fixed it a bit and cut off the tails and created the center peice. I think It is much better then my pink bow -nod-

i thank you for elaborating on your previous comment. I did with that one cut and sew the pieces together but everyones first bows will not look anything like the brand name ones, thats just how it is. Your lace bow here is really quite lovely, an improvement from your very first attempt. What did you stick it on to? a barrette? how did you attatch it to a barrete?

Thank you, I really think I improved a lot.
This one was quite easy, with about a yard of lace I tied the two ends into a bow with long tails, leaving a large circle of lace almost like a headband left. Then I layered the large circle of lace under the bow to create the effect of two bows. I sewed that onto the barrette with cross stitches in addition to sewing the bow together. Then I cut the excess tails off until I got the desired lenght. The extra lace I sewed on the middle knot. to create a flatter look to the bow. I think It only really worked out well because the lace was wide and strechy.

Aww, that's cute!

Here's a bag I just 'finished' today. Meaning that it's good enough for now, but I need to go back and fix a few things.

Ahaha. That would be hilarious if people showed up at my house to raid my closet.

Right now, I have several things that are nearly done, but it's so hard for me to focus on just one, to complete it. I have a skirt that's done, except for a layer of lace that I'm sewing on by hand, but I want it to really be complete before I take photos. And I'm so picky about photos. The only reason there's a photo of that bag is because I made it for an LJ lolita sewing challenge, and needed to take the photo as proof.

Since it rains so often where I live, and my work interferes with my daylight hours to photograph, or make things, I'm feeling really unproductive lately. I wish I had a job that was at night, so I had the daylight to myself, and friends.

But, there will be more photos soon. Easter is coming, and I want to have an outfit finished for then, and there are two meetups I'm going to, so I want dresses ready for those, and I'm sure there will be lots of opportunities for photos at those times. This summer, when I don't have to work, I'm planning on having my friend take photos of me wearing the stuff I've made.

I think I posted a bad picture of me wearing this dress in the past, but here's a photo of just the dress and necklace.

And, a JSK that's finished enough to wear, but I'm trying to decide what embellishments to add. Any suggestions?

Well, for the first dress, I used a pattern for the top part, but the skirt part was taken from an older dress I had. I traced it onto paper.

I'm just wondering if a tiny ruffle would be too much for the second dress. I think I want to find pleated ribbon in the right colour, and make a band of it near the hem, but I also thought that a tiny ruffle of translucent fabric would be kinda pretty. Applied under the edge of the dress.

I think the layer undernieth would look better. but im sure whatever you decide will look wonderful. ^^

Yeah, but I don't think it's enough. I may try to find some braid trim that I can put along the neckline, because that just seems really plain to me. I think I also need to redo the neckline, and face it, rather than just turn under the edge.

The problem with the plaid fabric is that it's stretchy in one direction, but not the other. I wanted it to stretch crosswise, but didn't have enough fabric to do that, so I had to cut the pieces out so it stretches lengthwise. I'm pretty sure when I bought it, it was the last of a bolt, and I bought it out of love, not because I had any good plans. If I ever get a loom, I am making a fabric really similar, not stretchy, and plenty to make a dress like this one http://www.marymagdalene.jp/catalog/dress/chriop.html

I have a hat! Aha! I love love love it. I don't look very lolita their but the hat would probably look cute with something sweet lolita-ish or like a pink dress coat. I knitted it if you couldn't Figure that out x3

PearlZenith- I ADORE your top dress it is sooo pretty. Currently I am stuck wearing blouses and skirts to pull off the JSK look.

Yay! That's a really cute hat. I have no blouses, though I have about three that I"ve started sewing, just never finished, because I hate sewing blouses. I like everything up until it's time to make the placket. I HATE that part, so I haven't finished these ones. I'm wondering if it's a better idea to make a cutsew first, and then finish the blouses.
