Yes. Anyone can post in ID RP whenever they want. I would love to discuss ID with you. I am really surprised that no one else wants to talk about it. I want to go back and re-read it because the more I think about it, the more I think I like it.
BTW, I am really glad you finally got to get ID Fenris. biggrin

*Chuckles* I'm really glad I finally got to read it too, Narniakat.
As a gist run down of my opinion; I'm pleased with what she's done with Nathaniel. Richard is making a little more sense and is a tad more likeable. I think Zerbrowski has hit my second favourite character of the series. One thing I didn't really much like... It's not the sex itself, it's that she has to go in detail EVERY SINGLE TIME! I'm sure we all understand the basics of sex, this goes there and we're all happy people. But in one paragraph, and this made me laugh, she said 'breast' about 15 times, I lost count after five. That was Anita and Jean Claude where JC made the point of wanting to be on top before they went into his office. Maybe it's just me... But we all know that Anita has the ardeur, and we all have our little opinions on this, but we don't need the details of every sexual encounter she has to feed it. It does get a little much.
I made this comment in another forum when I was halfway through it... "It's a magic book! I'm halfway through and the plot has just disappeared!" It took her too long to get back to the serial killers and then, when the book ended, you were just left thinking... "...okay?"

Btw, if anyone has already made any or all of those comments above... well, I didn't really want to read through another five pages just yet so I just went and said what I wanted. *Nod*
I think I'm going to go take a looksee of that RP thingy and see if I can think of anything to post... If I can't think of anything nothing will be posted but hey, gotta start somewhere.

FenrisVollmond I made this comment in another forum when I was halfway through it... "It's a magic book! I'm halfway through and the plot has just disappeared!" It took her too long to get back to the serial killers and then, when the book ended, you were just left thinking... "...okay?" That was the same thing I was thinking when I was reading through it. I notice this book seems to be so much bigger than some of the others I've read but there's so much less story. The sex was painfully drawn out (so much sex in so little time) and then when it came back to the story it just flew bye. I thought something was going to happen with the couple from earlier on and more things with Primo but was puzzled as to how since there was only 100 remaining pages. Complete summary: Sexsexsexsextriumveratesexinnuendosexzombiesexsexcryingsexbloodsexsexfurrysexsexangstsexsexwickedtruthmeanvampirepowyou'redeadsexsex Also glad to hear you finally got your hands on the book.

I am really interested to see if the big bad Vittorio is going to show up immediately in the next book, or if she is going to wait a while and make it a surprise when he shows back up.
I too would of course love to see way more violence & police work in the books again, but I wanted to share with you guys some of my favorite things from the sex parts in ID.
I really like the fact that Anita has moved solidly into 3somes. That is just a personal fav of mine. I love that she has accepted having sex with the furry. I loved loved loved the scene in her office with Nathaniel when he bit the back of her neck. That was just really really hot.

And as for Vittorio.. I wonder too. Though anytime I see that name I have Anne Rice flashbacks xp

Me too. I don't know what possessed her to use that name when Anne Rice had a whole book about Vittorio.

Yea, the name use is kind of weird. Maybe since Vittorio gets no other action in the Chronicles and is less popular than the other characters she figured the association wouldn't be made *shrug* I am completely clueless. Maybe someone should email her xd

I just finished reading Incubus Dreams, and I have to say, I'm pretty dissapointed. The grammatical structure was all over the place, the typos abounded, the double words in a text, it made me wonder who the hell edited LKH's book. Aside from the obvious word errors, the book was still a let down in that it was mostly sex and just a hint of storyline which you lost bits and pieces and then came back to them about 300 pages later. When I was on chapter 82 with only about 10 pages left in the book I was wondering how the hell LKH was going to tie up all the loose ends. This is probably my least favorite book of the series. I mean honestly, who has sex 8 times in one day!!! and why the ******** won't Richard and Anita stop having sex with each other! stressed I thought the book should have focused more on Damian and Nathanial and the murder, not Jean-Claude, Richard, and Anita. I also noticed that Asher was just a character mentioned in passing, if he's such a big sweetie with Jean-Claude and Anita wouldn't he be a bit more prevolent? *sigh* I also hated the cover art, not that that has anything to do with the actual story per say, but I still hate it. I'll buy the book in paperback, but only to further my series. I have to say, if this was LKH's first novel of the series I wouldn't buy anymore of them. Depending on how the next one does I may or may not continue with the series.

I just read Fenris' first post and noticed the thing he stated about the word "breast". I also loved the fact that she kept saying "I want this in me." or begging to be ********, that just left me questioning. I mean LKH will go into every graphic detail about the sex but she won't let Anita say anything more than "I want this in me."? So odd.

Alright, I finished ID about a week or two ago. Let me give my opinion on some stuff here.
I still don't like Richard. I used to hate him and was annoyed every time he came in, but now, I just don't like him. What an improvement! HA. I like the part where Richard is acting and saying things that are so much like Anita and Jean-Claude said he couldn't handle 2 Anita's. lol, that was great! I wanted more a** kicking in this book and not as much sex like ya'll said already. I don't mind the sex really, but come on....a book with over 600 pages, but not much action until the very end where you don't even get the big bad guy??? I'm more an action throb than sex...but hey...I saw more of Jean-Claude!! lol. I do have to say, I think this book was one of the, if not, the funniest one of them all. I was laughing my a** off throughout the whole thing. (I'd point out 2 chapters that I thought were funny, but my friend has my book and I forgot which they were). I was laughing about the end when they threw a Clean The Basement Party. I was actually shocked that Asher came and helped, but my, I laughed hard when Richard didn't stay b/c Anita 'opened a vein' for Asher! I was sad though that I didn't get to see Zane! Zane is one of my favorites!! While I was reading it, I was like, The Mother of Darkness is gonna be in here somewhere! Then she wasn't even mentioned (or was she at least once?!)! I felt like LKH led us to believe that the council or Belle Morte would visit or that MOD (mother of vamps.) would fully awaken, but that never happened! crying I wanted to see Asher! I was glad that JC and Anita are dating him, but come! Give the guy a cameo at least other than JC mentioning him sleeping in the other room. Man...I liked the book, but it could've been better if she took out some sex and put some of the old characters back. I like Byron and Requeim though! Hotties! 3 hot vamps with different shades of blue eyes and they all live in the same city, if not, same building! *melts* I'm a total sucker for blue eyes. TRUE!! I thought Primo was going to be the big bad vampire in the end before finding out about Vittorio. I didn't like Primo...I actually felt bad for him in a way. Ya know? He just didn't want the girls hanging all over him, but he was forced to...poor guy. Malcolm pissed me off! I thought he was cool (I was misled!), but he pissed me off when he banished the blood oaths! Stupid b*****d. But I was laughing when JC was mentally talking to Anita when she was actually talking to Zebrowski. She was saying how they'd make Malcolm make the blood oaths come back into play or JC would do it. But he was against it. LOL, I laughing hard, especially when Z. saw Anita's behind while climbing the ladder and said she had a nice a**, then JC said 'but you do'. That was great! lol.
Overall, I still liked the book and I laughed my a** off most of the time while reading it.

Yea, it was pretty funny. I don't think I thought much about it since I was buried underneath all that sex. I too am one of the many screaming "Where was my Asher?!" I adore Asher and I'd have liked to seen more of him in this book, especially considering his role/behavior in Cerulian Sins. I thought there would be something more on the MOD but I can accept her not being mentioned. Maybe this was sorta of a calm before the storm type book.
I expect Vittorio to be mentioned in the next one though I am disappointed there was no kill or even a proper introduction of him in ID. Already his character is a big let down for me. Between name associations and how he's been used thus far I just can't seem to take interest in him. If she never brought his name up again I wouldn't even blink.
I too also thought Primo would be the big bad. He seemed powerful enough.. Plus I didn't like him so frankly I was hoping he was just so I could see him die. I assume we will hear more from him and his maker in the future. Which kinda worries me in the sense that I think Laurell may be introducing too many characters at this point and it has the potential to steal the steam from those we've all grown to know and love. I like the idea of Nathanial and Damian growing as characters and I also like characters like Jason gaining some depth. I'd hate to see that halted because now it's time for some AnitaxByronxRequiem sex. Not that I have anything against the new characters introduced. I just hope in future books our favorites don't disappear like our dear leopards.. and our dear Rat King.
