*Edward raised an eyebrow and went to stand near a wall, leaning against it with his arms crossed. His face was expressionless, as was his eyes. Violet kneeled and leant against the door, her eyes trained on the three in the middle of the room. Edward glanced from each person to the next periodically, his body completely passive*

Anita focused her energy, staring straight into Narnia's eyes.
"Nathaniel..." She rasped out, never losing contact with the witch.
"Make sure my vampires are ok af-after this spell." Anita said that the vampires in the Circus belonged to her without even thinking and didn't care what anyone would say at the moment.
She felt Violet return but she also felt a familiar power. It was Death.
"Edward, if you say anything right now, I'll kill you." ((Hey, I am being his friend, just stressed!!))

*Edward grinned, his good ol' teddy boy grin*
"I've already said something, you were just too busy to notice..."
*His voice held the coldness that his face did not, he knew she wouldn't be picking up her gun any time soon. And he knew for sure he could get the drop on her before she had time to react - but he wouldn't. Violet finally stood up and looked over the room silently, she didn't know what to do but she did offer what she could*

(( I think I need to reread the series... No particular real reason it's just that I keep getting confused on how to post. I hate the shortness of what I'm doing. Bleh. ))
Nathaniel nodded and dropped his hand, saying quietly, "I will do that."
He turned and, before leaving the room, cast an odd glance towards Edward.

*Edward tipped an imaginary hat towards the wereleopard as he left the room and smiled, although it still left his eyes dead and cold*
"So, kids. What in Hell is going on?"
*He pushed away from the wall and stood a few steps away from Anita and the woman. Crossing his arms he looked unarmed, but anyone who knew Edward would know differently*

Narnia closed her eyes and focused. She felt Anita's power cool to her touch it smelled of dirt and death and it melded with hers. Both of their powers flowed around each other testing at first then flowing together. Narnia breathed in and then used everything she had to push the combined energy forces out to fight the power that was trying to control them. She felt the enemy power push back against them and it took Narnia's breath away. She almost fell but Anita's power held her in place.
Suddenly she felt energy from other sources. Narnia was very confused at first, but then she realized it must be from Anita's triumvirate Narnia had heard about from Marianne. She felt a cold cold power that felt of vampire, and a warm earth power that felt like the magic she was used to feeling from Marianne when she worked with Verne's pack. The two new powers added to the force behind her magic and the combination was enough to banish the enemy power from them all.
The sudden absence of the enemy power pushing against them made Narnia weak-kneed. She fell onto the floor in a heap, completely drained.
Only then did she notice the man that must have entered while the struggle was happening. He was watching her with dead eyes. Her remaining power flowed over him and he felt empty to her. She shivered slightly, but had nothing left with which to protect herself.
Anita, Narnia managed a whisper,I hope that man is a friend of yours.

Asher felt the power even deep within the Circus. He rubbed his visage, feeling the soft skin as it melded with the harsh scarring. Looking around his room, he wondered what was occurring to make him feel this way. He stood and left his room, exiting up the long staircase to the surface.
His golden hair fell naturally to hide the scarring. Strolling up the staircase with catlike grace, he adjusted his black silk shirt. Asher opened the door with caution and gazed upon the large gathering in the parking lot.
His heart was warmed by the presence of his former lover, Jean-Claude, and the glowing radiance of Anita. Glowing was certainly the word as he felt her power creep across his skin. Something wrong was happening to her and he was worried. He walked over to Jean-Claude and whispered in his ear.
"What is happening to her?"

The world lay in wait as it was engulfed in gold light. Anita barely registered that Jean-Claude had grabbed her at some point, but it was all the same. The power she had felt gave her a rush, a high, and she was trying to come down all at once. Talk about hard.
((It's ok that I use JC at the moment right?))
Jean-Claude's soothing French reached her ears as he stroked her cheek, some of which she understood, but most was just a bunch of pretty words. But wat girl doesn't like to hear pretty words on occasion?
Anita reached up to press her lips to his own, but missed terribly, still not able to see past the power fuzz. His soft laugh alerted her senses before glancing at the door. Asher stood, a soft smile on his face, as he watched them. All Anita could do was smile back.
