Lykos unfortunately goes up and over, landing behind Bison courtesy of a back body drop. The challenger rolls forward slightly and grabs the ropes to attempt to pull himself back up

Bison rubbed his head. He had to get momentum back, he had to win..for the grandest champion in the grandest stage! He turned to face Lykos, raising his clenched fist. He stepped in and aimed a heavy right hand punch for the challengers head

Lykos gets to his feet and turned back towards Bison, only to be clocked with a heavy right that knocks him back against the ropes. Lykos rebounds back and swings a big right of his own in retaliation

Bisons head moved with the return punch, staggering for a moment. Fuming, the champion fired back with another heavy right hand.

A second right clocks Lykos and he stumbles back a couple of steps again. The challenger is more than ok with with a slugfest and fires back another, harder right hand of his own

The exchange of fists was rolling along as Bison staggered, swinging his arm hard for a third punch

Lykos should potentially rethink this strategy as Bison clocks him again and knocks him back towards the ropes. Again, Lykos rebounds but this time instead of throw another punch, he goes for a kick to the gut to try to double the champion over. If connected, he'd aim to follow with a side russian legsweep

Lykos manages to bring the champion down with a maneuver he's unlikely to use against many other than folks their size, the side russian legsweep. With the champion down, Lykos once again goes for a pin attempt

The referee dropped down.
ONE! TWO!
No! Lykos was denied once again as the champion kicked out before the 3 count!

Lykos raises back on his knees, pushing his hair back from his face as he looks at the referee to confirm it was only a two count. The match continues, so he gets to his feet again and once again has to wait for the champion to stand. He'd failed to hit it before, but he'll try once again to chokeslam Bison once he's up agian

Bison was feeling the fatigue of a hard long fight. He heard the drum of the crowd, the grandest stage of them all. He rose up once again, refusing to give up. He had his throat grasped by the challengers.
No, not this year. Not this mania. A fire lit up in the championship eyes as he grasped the throat of Lykos in return , attempting to push him back into a corner.

Lykos is caught by the throat as well as the champion attempts to push him back. The Dark Wolf plants his feet, pushing back. Realizing that likely won't get him anywhere, however, he would step in and aim a knee lift to the gut of the champion

Bison pressed the challenger, trying to corner him as they pushed against each other. Lykos gave up on the contest of power and drove his knee into the championship stomach. He grunted, it hurt but he needed to make space and break the chokeslam threat..with all his might he retaliated by attempting to shove Lykos away

Lykos is shoved off and back against the ropes. He elects to use this to his advantage, rebounding back aiming to take the champion down with a spear

Bison had avoided the chokeslam, but his challenger was quick enough to switch up to the Spear, dropping Bison to the mat
