Well, there are people who might still be out looking for their escaped experiment (similar to another adventurer I can think of xd ), so she tries to keep a low profile. Once she is away from the prying eyes of town she takes her veil and cloak off.

Ah, well they're similar in that regard then, cos whenever the tree lady's outside the city walls, she takes off what little she has that passes as clothing. FREEDOM IN NATURE! *chants the last line over and over*
