The person nodded & then took off down the street in the direction the van went. "Follow me." they called to the trio.

_ _Solsi nodded curtly and followed the person in close pursuit. Normally she'd be reluctant to follow a person wielding a rifle, but the fact they spoke Arron's native language was more than coincidental...and...with any luck, they'd all be reunited with their friend soon and able to lend him aid. It also helped ease her doubts that the compass agreed with the direction of choice. OOC: ~

She agreed with Sciurus. With the compass now back in their hands, they needed to hurry off. Before they could, the person ran ahead a head of them and asked for the three to follow. Kate looked back at her companions. Seemed they knew the mechanic well. Were they safe to trail, though? Solsi decided first. She ran after them and in close pursuit. The mage glanced at the doc and sighed. "Looks like we're following," she said, hurrying after.

The person was fast & kept winding down the streets. It was the same direction the compass was pointing. They would find what looked to be a warehouse. By then the compass was not pointing at the building.

_ _Solsi gave it all she had running to keep up with the person. Every so often she'd double check and make sure the compass agreed with the stranger's guidance. One couldn't be too careful...and time was in short supply. They approached a large warehouse, but the compass showed no interest in this location. "Where are you taking us?" she yelled over as they ran.OOC: ~

The stranger took off ordering for them to follow, and Solsi soon bounded after them. The surgeon broke into a run after them with his magical partner, sheathing his cleaver in his belt as a precaution. "So it would seem, for now at least. I would rather know our new friend better before trusting them so fully, but we do not have the luxury of taking a coffee break."The fact still remained that they didn't know who had taken the mechanic. To Sciurus, that meant this person could indeed be one of Arron's allies, or could just as easily be working for the enemy and leading them asunder. But as they came to see a large warehouse complex, he had to take a minute and admire the area. "Their warehouse is better than mine... Wonder what's here?"

The four ran through many streets while following the mysterious stranger. From what she could see, the compass was pointing in the same direction. Eventually, the compass had stopped tracking and they arrived at a warehouse. Kate looked around, taking in the sight that laid before them. "A warehouse? Is this where those kidnappers took Arron?" she asked.

Their companion went around the warehouse. "No, I need something from my ship." they said quietly. Hidden by debris, was a space ship. It looked like it had seen better days. On one side it read, in both strange characters as well as their own, "Princess of the Void" with the silhouette of a crown made out of a galaxy.
They climbed into the ship & came back out after a few minutes with a few more weapons.

_ _Solsi sputtered to a halt next to Sciurus and Kate, chin lifting higher and higher as she tried to see up to the top of the ship. "Oh snap on a cracker." she said to her new friends and teammates. "What did we get ourselves into...?"OOC: ~

The group was brought over to a spaceship that was hidden away from plain sight. While the stranger climbed into it, Kate was curiously looking around. She had never seen one so up close before and this may just be her only chance. On one side she found some text with their native language. "Princess of the Void?" she asked, tilting her head. She rejoined the group just as they returned, now packing a few more weapons. "I'm...not sure."

Sciurus frowned at the ship, simply observing details without comment. He knew next to nothing of mechanics or of any travel besides land, but it was an impressive sight all the same. The surgeon couldn't help his paranoia creeping up on him again as the trio stood alone. Who was this sudden "Princess" with a spaceship and suspicious knowledge? If one had something like this at their disposal, why run around alone on ground level and risk enemy contact? He took out his cleaver, inspecting the blade as he chose his words carefully, "I do not know, but I am liking it less and less. I do not see any reason for this person to require our assistance, nor to risk being involved with us at all if they seem to know what's going on. I fear we may be out of our league." Soon the figure returned with even more weapons, and it certainly didn't make Sciurus feel any more trusting of their presence. "I see... And did you remember the kitchen- er, galley sink, while you're at it?"

Ru, a newcomer to this oddly verdant sphere known as Gaia, had been wandering aimlessly around the industrial district in Barton town looking for work, or for a place to get a cheap drink. Work of any kind would be good for his bank account, and the drink now to calm his nerves. The explosion some time ago had set him on edge, any good mercenary knows that violence in the distance may mean a paying job is close at hand. He had decided to not intervene, however, as the sirens of trained medicos and peacekeepers sounded off not long after the ground had shook. The medics were fine to him, but other planets police forces often times cast suspicion on those who carry firearms and explosives, especially when they don't speak most of the local vernacular.
"Then what am I to do? This part of town isn't all...."
He trailed off in mid-rumination, some movement had caught his eye. A group of strange looking people had darted across the street, a doctor for sure was the first one accompanied by a mage and a... what was that one wearing? But, the one who captured his attention the first was the leader, a hooded figure with a rather impressive rifle on his back. Ru immediately thought of the explosion and decided that he would follow them. There may be an award up for these types as the only ones to run from a bomb are the victims or the culprits.
"Today may be a good day after all."
Ru muttered as he followed their trail, keeping a good distance as he went. When he caught up to the party, the rifleman was offloading some "hardware" from a ship Ru definitely hadn't seen on his travels. He unlocked his revolvers holster and carefully walked up behind them and announced:
"So, Is this an ordinary weapons deal, or the after-party to a successful kill?"
He stands with his arms folded and a sneer across his face.
