Making it to the top, Kate runs past Gypsy who had readied enough objects to be used as a barricade. She could feel the pressure and pain building up on her body as the barrier was being attacked by the werehog. Once the barricade was set she would dismiss it..
Arron was hot on Kate's heels, taking the punishment from Auriga. Once they were up the stairs, he gently placed her on her feet & went to work barricading the door. "Sorry! It had to be done!" he said quickly.

Monster was not going to make it easy on his friend to keep up her barrier as he kept slashing and ramming into it, his fury growing to a fever pitch until he began to tap into a strange energy that cause his body to glow purple... And suddenly he had the strength to punch right through the barrier.

The barricade was nearly up. Problem was, the barrier below had been broken by the werehog. The mage drops to her knees and her hands grip onto the opposite arm tightly from the sudden build-up in pain, suppressing the urge to scream. "H-He's coming this way!" she shouted.
Kate, are you okay? *looks over at her then flinches at the shout, moves to help her up* Then we need to get away from here, now!

As the barrier came down, Monster began to barrel up the stairs on all fours, slamming into the barricade with a resounding thud as the furniture blocking the entrance was shifted. It looked as if he would be escaping tonight...
Upon seeing what was happening, Arron immediately took off one of his gloves & placed it on the door. His hand crystallized along with the door. This took a few minutes until it was completely solid. The crystallization had gone up his arm as he fell to his knees, weak from the act. "Hopefully... th-that... holds..." he said glancing at the others while he held his arm close to his chest.
