"... When did I say I know everything? I admit to knowing little of this realm as it is not the one I originate from and have stated I was searching for this realms Death while trying to right some of the imbalance they have let fester." The small Death floats back into the air so she's once again eye level with Laguna, glancing at Xashowd as he moves between them. She hums tunelessly to herself a moment, eyes glazed over as if lost in though. "E tuh'd ryja desa vun drec..." She sighs, eyes glowing brightly for a moment before returning to their normal state, "If you are intent on recklessly fighting me just because you're angry, we shall do so elsewhere and likely at another time. I have little time before the other three come searching for me."

*OhmanIamsoexcitedaboutthenewScythesinthenewminiRIGyouhavenoideait'sjustsoawesomeandstrxydrdbyhcgunc....* *Is Spazzing* " Other three? Other three what?" Xashowd inquired. It seemed as though Death was about to take her leave, but her words confused him. This world's Death? How is there more than one? Was Destruction an entity as well? His mind spun with many questions, and very few answers. Laguna just growled, both at Xashowd's interruption and Death's retort. " Angry? You think this is about Anger!? This is about you basically threatening my life and confusing me all to hell!! Make some ******* SENSE, you moron!" She responded, too infuriated to care about how belligerent she sounded. At that moment a loud crash was heard, the boulder smashing through the last of the ice. It carried the door with it as it traveled on its path, straight for Laguna. She barely got out a " What the *-!?" before it slammed into her, smacking her into the nearby wall and knocking her out cold as a result of the impacts. The frosted door fell onto the floor, while the spherical mound of earth sunk back into the ground from whence it came. " Well...that could've been better." Darxian stated as he walked in calmly, his hood up due to the presence of someone he didn't trust. He looked over at Xashowd and Death, his eyes a mixture of emotions that made it currently unreadable. " Xashowd, we'll need to talk after this is all over. As for you...Death, Reaper, whatever you are. Unless you have more important matters to attend to, I suggest you explain your situation to us. From the top, if you please, and don't leave anything out or try to sound cryptic. Things are tense enough here as it is..." He requested, putting his Soul Dagger back in its sheath.

"But I already... You people do not listen very well..." Asterael sighs, eying Darxian with a very mild look of frustration, "I am not a Reaper, or an Angel, or any other thing that is not Death. I do not know what an Angel is, but almost everyone calls me one at first..." She grumbles quietly in another language for a moment before shaking her head and looking at the two men, not sparing the unconscious Laguna a glance now that she's down. "I am the Death of an entirely different realm, Gaia is not my realm but another Deaths. We are connected, but each realm has its own unique Death specifically suited for that realms needs. There is unbalance in this realm which the other Death should have taken care of, but has yet to do anything about which is why I am here. I, however, need to head back to my realm for certain periods of time so my realms Life, Creation, and Destruction do not come wandering after me to see what I am up to. Disturbances in Life and Death are the easiest to leak into other realms, which is why I would like to find and stop the causes of it." All emotion has vanished from her eyes and voice by this point, "I believe I have mentioned at least most of this, if not all, before. Is this truly so confusing?"
(You okay..?)

*Yeah, I'm just extremely excited about the new Scythe recolors. I reeeeally like Scythes. emotion_kirakira * " Not anymore. But with everything so crazy earlier and you telling us this in bits and pieces, it didn't help the situation much." Xashowd stated, relieved that he had the answers to his questions. He looked over at the unconscious Laguna, her back against the wall where she sat, surprisingly still upright. Darxian was right, they would need to talk...a flying boulder was rather excessive. " So, do you know who this realm's Death is? Or what the exact cause of the imbalance is? We could help you look for them." Xashowd inquired. He was immediately shut down by Darxian. " I know you're eager to help others, but we have our own situation to take care of Xashowd." He stated, motioning towards Laguna. " We still have her to deal with, and that's a conversation best left for the two of us." He turned towards the Death from another world. " If you must be off, best get going. I'm sure you have a lot of work ahead of you." He informed her. As interesting as the situation of multiple Deaths was, priorities had to made.

Asterael is silent a moment, emotionless eyes seeming to look straight through the two men. "Though I wonder..." When she speaks again, her voice seems to be a soft, genderless whisper from the shadows, barely heard yet heard clearly as if the words had simply slithered into their heads, "With all the pain and suffering in this world, would it be better to simply reset it?" The air takes on a sudden chill as she starts to simply fade away, the sound of distant leaves rustling in a breeze filling the room before she vanishes completely. The temperature spikes back up immediately, though there's now the distinct smell of wet earth, pine, and frost hanging in the air.
(So I see.)

Asterael's parting words left a chill in Xashowd's spine. Reset the world? That wouldn't solve anything. Sentient beings would still be the same as they are now, if eons of existential evolution has shown us anything... He thought. He looked over at Darxian. Before they did anything else, there was one thing that needed to be taken care of. "Can you please fix the door before we start shouting at each other?" He asked. Darxian raised an eyebrow, but obliged. He had been the one who knocked it down, after all. He concentrated on the door, lifting it from where it rested and moving it over to the space it once occupied. Using his elemental powers, he bent it back into shape, separating it from the ice that had clung it it, then placed it back on the hinges, which he fixed as well. It took a little while, but the door was good as new, and closed.
Once that was done, Darxian turned to Xashowd. "Actually, let's not shout this time. I'd like not to attract any attention to this." He stated. "Except you said last time you might have to kill Laguna. Isn't that what you came to do?" Xashowd replied with a frown. "No...While it goes against everything I was trained to believe, I still want to reason with her. And even if I wanted to kill her, I'm not going to put her down like some dog. She deserves more than that...at least in my opinion." He looked over at his former trainee, sorrow upon his face. What was he going to do with her...if she didn't listen to reason, what then?
"I dunno if she'll listen. She seems pretty intent on living her life the way she wants to, and doesn't have a high opinion of others..." He walked over to the wall, picking up Laguna and placing her on the bed, mindful of her wings. "She said she had a favor to ask me...any idea of what it is?"
"Well, she's a fugitive right now. If I had to guess, she was going to ask if she could stay with you for a while. It's the predictable action." He walked over to the bed beside Xashowd. "But it's too dangerous for you. She's a loose cannon right now, an emotional wild card. Not to mention I don't think you could handle her urges."
"Shouldn't I be the one to decide that?" Xashowd replied, eyebrow raised. "If she's looking for a friend, then that's what she needs. Even if I don't completely agree with her veiwpoints, I can't really say I fully disagree either..."
Darxian raised an eyebrow, somewhat startled by Xashowd's words. "What are you saying, Xashowd?"
"I'm saying it would be best if you took your job elsewhere for a while. Give Laguna some space, some time to vent her frustrations." He replied, looking at his friend with a dark glint in his eyes. "I shouldn't have to remind you that I am a Vampire. I can take whatever she can dish out. Leave her with me for a while, I'll see what I can do." He walked over to the door, opening it for his friend. "It'd be best if you left before she awoke. If she's going to wake up angry, I'd prefer it not escalate."
Darxian sighed. He wanted to deal with this personally, but Xashowd had a point. He wasn't Laguna's favorite person at the moment, and being here when she awoke would cause a ruckus as a result. He smiled mirthlessly, waking to the door. "Just...don't get yourself killed." He stated as he walked outside. He looked back to see Xashowd close the door behind him, unsure of what would happen. Still, he trusted his friend. With any luck, Xashowd would be able to calm Laguna. Whether or not she stopped killing innocents, on the other hand...well, he'd learn sooner or later. He warped through the floor, hands in his pockets. Time to find a new assignment...
Once Xashowd closed the door, he ran a hand through his hair and sighed. Crisis averted for now, it seemed. He looked at Laguna, sleeping soundly. He was surprised she slept so peacefully after getting smacked by a boulder...and with a smile at that. A rather...disturbing smile. He wondered what she was dreaming about, but decided to leave it alone. There were some things even he didn't want to know.

Laguna's dreams were pleasant...well, at least for her. She dreamed of Angels, and of the things she did to them...She woke up satisfied, stretching her arms as she rose from the bed...wait, bed? She looked down, realizing she was in a bed. Xashowd's bed.
The memories came flooding back. the sleep had done her body good, and most of the injuries from the collisions earlier had healed, but her head still hurt like hell. There was no sign of that annoying Death-thing or Darxian, so she relaxed...but there was no sign of Xashowd either. Was she alone? "Yo Xashowd...are you here?" She asked the empty air. What happened next startled her. A light shone from another part of the room, and a voice rang out..."I'm in the Fridge! Come on in!"
To say that Laguna was perplexed was an understatement. In the fridge...? Was she still dreaming? Laguna considered pinching herself, but there was a sweet smell coming from the direction of the light. She hopped off the bed and headed towards it, and sure enough there was a fridge in a corner of the room. The door was open, explaining the sudden light, and as she walked towards it, the smell got stronger. Was that...Watermelon? She chuckled, figuring that Xashowd's appetite for the unusual fruit hadn't lessened in their time apart. She walked toward the door and saw that the inside was bigger than she expected...much bigger. Inside was a kitchen of sorts and a row of shelves, perpetually cold and stocked with blood packs and whole Watermelon. Now Laguna considered slapping herself, there was no way this wasn't a dream. Then Xashowd walked up to her, a plate of Watermelon in hand. "Want some? I don't know if it'll help, but I figured you'd be hungry after everything that happened." He said with a warm smile on his face.
Laguna just stood there, utterly confused. Earlier the tension in the room was through the roof, most of it hers, and now Xashowd was calmer than a lazy feline, offering her some of his favorite food. "Ummm....Sure. Just...what is all this?" She stated, taking a piece and biting into it. It was very sweet, and seemed to melt in her mouth even though it was cold. "Oh, right...Hehe...I guess I'd better explain what I've been doing while you slept." He said, running a hand through his hair. He walked over to an island counter that had a couple of stools around it, sitting down and motioning for Laguna to take the seat beside him. She did so, nibbling on the watermelon piece all the while. She didn't really have it that often, but it was some damn good stuff.
Xashowd then explained what had transpired after she was knocked out. Both Asterael and Darxian had left, and Xashowd had placed her on his bed to make her more comfortable. After that he'd realized that if he was going to have a guest, he'd need a place to prepare food, so he got an official modification for the Magitech Fridge he owned that allowed it to house a kitchen and one other room alongside the expansive refrigerator interior, and set to work installing it. Apparently Laguna had been asleep for a few hours, and Xashowd had gotten some more Watermelon and a few blood packs in the meantime, after he was done getting the kitchen set up of course. "Wow, sounds like you've been busy." Laguna stated once he was done. "I guess you figured out my favor, huh?"
Xashowd nodded. "Darxian told me before you left, but only because I asked. I figured I should try to make you comfortable." He said with a smile. Normally the mention of Darxian would annoy Laguna, but the sweetness of the watermelon and the cool temperatures soothed her nerves. It was...actually nice. "So, you'll let me stay?" She asked him. "Of course, but I have to set a few ground rules." He replied. Laguna sighed, figuring there was a catch. "Alright...lay 'em on me." "First and foremost, try not to kill anyone in the guild. If you get angry at someone, contact me. I'll come right over and try to calm the situation." He calmly explained to her, reaching into his pocket. "And how the heck am I supposed to contact..." She started, but Xashowd pulled out a Gizmo and held it out to her. "It's like mine, but in your favorite color. My number is preregistered on speed dial. I wasn't sure if you'd kept your old one, so I got another just in case." He explained with a smile.
Damn, it's like he thought of everything. Laguna thought, accepting the gift. "Thanks...What else you got?" She inquired. "Just a few more rules. Number two is if you're going to bring someone home for dinner, let me know ahead of time in case I need to be elsewhere." He took a few more bites of Watermelon, moving the plate over to her and offering some more. Laguna picked up another piece, nibbling on it and savoring the flavor. "Number three is to come to me whenever you have a problem, that way we can work it out together. That one's less of a rule and more of a guideline, but I'd really appreciate it." He explained. "Apart from that, just try not to break my closet or anything inside it. That's pretty much it." He smiled, looking like he had few cares in the world. Laguna was startled by his sudden kindness. "Thank you...even after everything that's happened today, everything you know...you're still willing to let me stay?" She asked, a little surprised. The smile never left Xashowd's face. "Of course. I know you've had it rough, and even though I don't approve of wanton killing, I understand the need to vent. Believe me, I know what it's like having pent up rage inside you..." His smile faltered, but only for a moment. "So, what you need is someone to share those frustrations with. I'll be that someone, if that's okay with you."
Laguna looked down at the counter. Lilith had told her no one ever gave something without expecting something in return, even if it was just recognition. There was no true selflessness in the world. Yet she knew Xashowd, it was in his nature to help others. And here he was, helping her. All he asked in return was a few courtesies, but compared to what she was asking it wasn't much. It was almost selfless...like he truly cared. Maybe he did...She looked up at him and nodded. "Yeah...I'd like that."
She looked around the kitchen, a question coming to mind. "So...where exactly will I be staying? Your bed is nice, but I doubt you'd let me sleep with you." She said, half joking. "That's up to you. Like I said, this fridge can hold another room, so I can make another bedroom if needbe." Xashowd explained. Laguna smirked. "Up to me, huh? And what if I want to sleep with you? You won't object?" "Nope." He replied matter-of-factly. Laguna raised an eyebrow, wondering if he knew what she was asking. A small glint in his eyes gave her the answer she sought. "So you wouldn't mind a little cuddle time with me? Say, au natural?" Xashowd just smiled. "Like I said, I'm here if you need to share your frustrations." Laguna mirrored his smile. She considered asking more, but his eyes told her all she needed to know. He meant every word. Seeing that the fridge door was still open and there was a source of light inside, she used some of her magic to close to door. "How about we skip the bed." She told him, jumping off and pulling him with her. As Xashowd finished off the last of the watermelon in his mouth, part of him wondered what he'd gotten himself into. The rest of him just shrugged, deciding to just roll with it.

"And then she what!?" "Pulled hard and I spun like a top. It was a lot of fun though, and I think my first truly positive experience here...No, make that the second. Monster was the first."
After their night in his fridge, Xashowd had been regaling Laguna with stories of his time in the Guild, though it had been brief. Good times, bad experiences, and a little about everyone he'd met, making sure to stress to Laguna the importance of avoiding Daenes and Gypsy. Daenes was bad news, but in the case of Gypsy, who was much kinder, Xashowd had remembered Leviathan's threat. Since Gypsy hung out with Daenes, he figured she was connected to Leviathan, especially since she'd mentioned knowing the demigod during the Grunny Invasion. He liked Gypsy, but didn't want to incur the demonic being's wrath.
"You know, I've heard some crazy things about this world, but a Moon Rabbit, Electric Cloud Princess, and a Werehog all under the same roof? There's more variety here than I thought!" Laguna told him with a grin. Things were finally going well for her, and she felt happier than she had in months. "Speaking of the Werehog...Think you could introduce me?" Laguna remembered seeing him during her expedition to find Xashowd. He'd been shy, but she liked Blue things. Hopefully having an intermediary would smooth things over. "If he's okay with it. I don't want to drop in unannounced, especially since he's probably planning and stuff." He replied. Laguna raised an eyebrow. Planning for what, I wonder? Hope it's something I can get in on... She thought, smiling at the possibilities. "And what might your fuzzy friend be planning?"
"The Wedding. He's getting married, though I don't think he told me who to...only that they haven't set a date yet."
Her smile faltered. Fuzzy was getting married? Well, there went her possibilities...under any other circumstances a married man wouldn't faze her, but Monster was a friend of Xashowd's. She didn't want to start trouble with her friend. She sighed "Is there anyone around here who's single? Besides you, anyway." Xashowd chuckled. "Monster's the only guy I know who's getting married, so there's bound to be a lot of single people. Matter of fact, Nefiriam looks like the type you'd be interested in. Him and Lady Luck get along pretty well from what I've heard, though I'm not sure if it's anything serious." He replied. Laguna smiled a little. Xashowd had described Nefiriam to her, along with everyone else he'd met. He must've been the one she'd interrupted in that large room...Chatter, wasn't it? He had certainly seemed amorous...or at least smelled that way. She'd have to look around for him sometime.
Laguna got up from the stool she'd been sitting on. After they'd woken up, she and Xashowd had decided to munch on some more Watermelon at the counter, which is when he started his stories. As fun as it was, she still needed to sort a few details..."So, you said you could make another room in here, right?" "If you wanted me to, yeah." Laguna walked around a little. While the notion of sleeping with Xashowd every night was an entertaining one, she didn't want to tire him out. Plus, the notion of having her own living space was even more entertaining...a place she could decorate any way she liked, with all the blue stuff she wanted. Plus, the cool temps of the fridge were agreeable to her, and were preferable for the way she slept...at least, in her opinion. Laguna looked back at Xashowd, who was still seated, and nodded. "I like the idea of having my own room. Especially if I can customize it." Xashowd smiled. "Alright. We'll have to head out of the fridge, though. Can't be inside while the program makes adjustments." He stated, hopping off and walking over to the door. He opened it as Laguna walked towards him, the cool air rushing outward to the somewhat warmer space of Xashowd's Closet.
Once they were outside, He shut and locked the door, pressing a few buttons on the door of the fridge to bring up a Holo-Screen. "According to the Manual, all I have to do is input the type of room I want to make and it'll bring up a customization screen. Should have all the basic options, and maybe a few additional ones." Laguna looked over his shoulder as he worked on the machine. Xashowd had always been good at figuring out technology, though he liked having an instruction book or some kind of starting point from what she remembered. Thankfully, the interface on the Fridge provided both. Soon enough, a different set of images showed up on the Holo-Screen, detailing different customization options for a bedroom. "And there you go. It's a pretty intuitive interface, nothing too complicated. And there's...damn, that's a lot of options. I'm a little jealous." Xashowd told her with a playful smile as he moved aside, giving Laguna room to work. "Might have to look into an expansion upgrade in the future. IF I can find one, I don't think the store I bought this and the Mod from carries them." He explained. Laguna just shrugged. "Hey, maybe you'll get lucky. Now then...let's see what I can do with this..." She mused, eager to set about making her own place.

" ....Aaaaand done." Laguna stated, walking back from the Holo-Screen. Xashowd walked over to see what she had made and whistled. It was fairly impressive. Most notable was the very large, very blue bed near the middle of the back wall, along with a small bathroom area sectioned off to the side, with a decently sized shower. The overall color scheme was blue, with a grayish-blue carpet, blue walls, and all of the furniture she'd chosen (mainly a table and a large couch) was dark blue in coloration. But one thing stood out more than the bed...on the two walls to the sides of the bed were waterfalls. Magically powered Waterfalls that came down the center of the walls into small pools. Those impressed Xashowd even more than the size of the bed. " You certainly made an interesting room." He commented. " What can I say? I like having a large play area." Laguna replied with a smile. Xashowd pressed a few buttons to start the room saving process. " Alright, it should be finished in about 2 hours. Normally it would be less time, but those waterfalls are fairly data-heavy." Laguna shrugged, she could be patient. " So, I guess you can introduce me to some of your friends while we wait?" She still wanted Xashowd to formally introduce her to Monster. Even if she couldn't make him a lover, they could still be friends...at least, that's what she hoped. Just as Xashowd was going to respond, there was a knock at the door. Still a little wary from past events, he walked over and used some of his Wind magic to find out who was on the other side. He felt a tingling of electricity, and a familiar restlessness. He smiled as he relaxed. " Well, you're in luck. One of them just dropped by." He opened the door as Laguna looked towards it, shifting her wings inside her to hide them. " Hi Volt! How's life?" He asked as he stepped to the side, inviting her in.

Xashowd *Nope, I've never met an Anon by that name. Why do you ask?* (I see. She's currently on hiatus sort of since her writer is currently doing navy things, but when she gets back and if your succubus lady is still around I'd be careful if the two interact. Temptress is the leader or whatever of the Lust department of hell in her story. I'm not sure how she'll react to Laguna (I think that's her name?) though she won't be back for a few more months I think.)

Xashowd Just as Xashowd was going to respond, there was a knock at the door. He smiled as he relaxed. " Well, you're in luck. One of them just dropped by." He opened the door as Laguna looked towards it, shifting her wings inside her to hide them. " Hi Volt! How's life?" He asked as he stepped to the side, inviting her in. Volt stood, her arms crossed, leaning all her weight on one foot while the other bent at the knee casually. Tilting her head she looked over his shoulder and spotted exactly who she predicted she would. She'd never met the girl's acquaintance, but she heard of her mention. Her expression held a slight frown, nothing more than a glint of concern, or perhaps that of consideration. "Good...good...can't complain..." she offered up automatically, not really thinking about the question. She wasn't really there to make pleasantries...it was more of an investigation. Cutting right to the chase she leaned close to Xashowd and muttered under her breath, "Blink twice if you're being held captive..."

Xashowd looked back and forth between Volt and Laguna. It seemed Volt was worried about him...word must've spread. Then again, Xashowd hadn't been the only one telling stories...Laguna had told him a little about her adventures, though she didn't provide a lot of details. Still, given her more aggressive nature, it was unsurprising word might've spread. He just chuckled at Volt's words. " Actually, she's my guest. I'm letting her stay here while she works out some issues." He smiled, gesturing to his friend. " Volt, this is Laguna. Laguna, this is Voltari." Laguna looked over at the one Xashowd called Volt. She raised an eyebrow. Xashowd's description of her still didn't prepare her for the antennae and tail. So...is she part robot or something? Well, I've seen weirder. She walked over and extended her hand, figuring a handshake would be a good start. " Nice to meet you. I hear you throw a mean Yo-yo." She said with a smile.
