❝ A REMINDER; A CONFIRMATION ❞
It is the moment that reminds us of salvation and the moment to see children laughing with blissful ignorance while foraging for their Easter give-away. Nothing could change the fact that Easter is a celebration amid the current crisis that the world is tasked to face every day. Let this brief moment remind us of God’s love and the sacrifice that He and Jesus made to assure us of our salvation. I’m proud to say that I’m a Christian, who acknowledges and respects the beliefs of others; who does not restrain me from stretching out my hands to everyone who has faith and believes in salvation. Easter reminds me of that every year, but if we think that Easter is merely a religious commemoration or a celebration for Easter egg hunting, then aren’t we assuming too much? Isn’t Easter more than that?
I grew up in a religious family that celebrates the Holy Week with a passion. I never heard of Easter egg hunting until I was in second grade; neither did I participate in one. My family never restrained my spiritual growth though, which allowed me to open my heart to other religious beliefs. After all, aren’t we sharing in God’s mercy? The lessons I learned from people in different walks of life proved to me that living in the past isn't worth the time. Instead, we should break the barriers that stop us from sharing the graces we have to others and move together towards a better future. No religion, no ethnicity, no sexuality, no status should hinder us from uniting our faiths, as long as we believe in salvation and celebrate His love. Isn’t that enough to augment the current state of our beliefs?
These things always pop up in my head during Easter, but my hopes go high whenever I see families basking in fits of laughter and merrymaking. People forget the differences even for a day. It may not be like this to all, but it’s already a good start. My dreams of seeing everyone treat everyone fairly, regardless of religion and beliefs may sound childish, but I still hold a firm ground on this dream. Easter, for me, should be celebrated every day. Everyone should be thankful of the reminder that they have one more day to correct their mistakes; everyone should be thankful that each day given to them is another confirmation that they are loved by Jesus.
There is more to Easter than meets the eye. It’s not just about merrymaking and celebrations. It’s a reminder that we are saved, and should use that salvation to help others instead of condemning them. It’s a reminder that there will always be a light at the end of the tunnel, and we that we should practice what we preach. It’s a reminder at the same time a confirmation that we are alive under the goodness of the Lord.

As my knowledge knows, Easter is a joyous occasion symbolizing Jesus's Christ death and rebirth to a new life. I may have not portrayed it that way and portrayed it in a less serious nature instead which has more to do with the beginning of spring influenced by the customs of the season but behind the cuteness of those bunnies still stays the deep meaning of Easter. People may see it in different ways but one thing remains the same, it's a happy and joyous event c:

I'll try to write a nice poem, but first it has to rhyme a lot, To be honest, I think Easter is a waste of time, Don't judge me! [It'll also be a waste of time] I don't know what the big deal of Easter is, I think it blends in with Valentines Day, Easter is supposedly 'fun', You make children hunt for eggs, They might get lost or even sucked into a different dimension, And also because of their selfishness they end up fighting for it ^[personal experience]^ So what i'm trying to say, and this poem doesn't even rhyme, is that I have to work on my rhyming skills, and yeah sure that Easter blends in with St.Patrick's Day Boo, no rhyme emotion_donotwant

Ok I know this is wrong of me and totally not what Easter is about but this years Easter will hold many special memories for me just because of the day it falls on, March 31. Now some may not hold the date as anything significant but the holiday itself. For me though that's wrong because in fact it also so happens to be my birthday, yes I know that is not why the holiday itself is held special but to me it is because how often does Easter fall upon the month of March. Alas though which birthday is it of any that I will be having though? My one and only 21 the once in a lifetime part of your life here to be able to drink anywhere to your hearts content and be able to pull out that sacred id and say yes in fact I am old enough to purchase this. This day holds more meaning though then just one persons birthday with the many tales that revolve around this day and what many religions hold dear to this time, how springbreak happens near here and the party's you have with friends and family. Seeing many lovedones again after so long or sadly saying goodbye to some as they go home again. The wonderment of the holiday passed by many beliefs held by many. But hey I will still be raising my glass upon you and saying it is a special day but Christmas still tops all the holidays upon any beliefs. whee

Heres my entry:
Easter is
A treasure hunt of secret meanings disguised in sparkly foil or colored eggs. mystifying youthful minds. Searching, searching for the hidden treasure; the sweetness of spring and the promise of summer it brings. Peep birds contending with chocolate rabbits for supremacy in sugar levels. Still the child inside frolics and feels the flight of winters chill as spring pulls you higher with the fragrant lull of the zephyr. This marking moment is celebrated for reasons of rebirth and ending of suffering dark. We're young again. reborn again; fresh and fragrant and new. The sweet is just a potent reminder of what easter really means.

John 11:25-26"I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die."Easter is the time when family comes together, In the new defrosted ground of the springy sunny weather. For Christians, it's a time to celebrate new beginnings. We throw out all our losses, and only count our winnings. I am not religious, but I do enjoy the meaning Of ridding us our older selves to happily keep on living. In this world it's hard sometimes to count our daily blessings. But there is always one thing that will kindly stop my stressing. Much like the resurrection in which we derive Easter, Friendships often fall apart before they arise, fresher. We fight, we fuss, we tend to disagree. But there is something I can count on: And that is you and me. For years and years, through thick and thin, We take the test, and always win. Rumors, stories, betrayal and hate Have made us stronger day by day. So, this spring, if asked again, I'll tell the world that my best friend Is the reason I am joyous this Easter! She is the world's greatest feature!

To be honest I never really thought about what Easter meant to me. It has kind of a small meaning to me. I have a brother who is 6 years older than me and his birthday happens to be on Easter. I always enjoyed having Easter dinner with my family and having the games and being able to remember that it was supposed to be a celebration of our God who risked his life for us so that we could be here today and be able to have the life and things we wanted. but what meant the most to me was being able to celebrate my brothers birth and how far he had come in his life. I love my brother and he means so much to me he always there to get me out of trouble and be by my side even if I do piss him off sometimes. That is my Easter being able to remember my God and celebrating my brothers life.

Easter time, in the spring makes me want to sing. The chocolate bunnies are delicious, but not as nice as puppy kisses. The little ones will color eggs, then they will run and run with their little legs. After we munch on some lunch, It’s a time to fill some water guns, make up teams, and have more fun!

I took this photo today when I was with my partner in a beautiful quirky city called Norwich. It's Easter break, but I study work in a completely different city 8 hours drive away. Despite the cold, it was a good day, though when I'm go back it'll be months until I see my love again. So this is what Easter means to me 3nodding

i took his candy, sweet like it should be, and he took mine, bittersweet.

my easter entry 2:
an egg has life. it's just a baby, protected in a shelled womb, resting under the mother's warmth. yet, that life is ended. that life is mocked. painted foolish colors. red. yellow. blue. green. then its hidden, as if hiding its dignity was nothing. and its left to be found by a toddler in a game. then its thrown away. that life is thrown away. that life is mocked. that life is ended.
