A quick cold remedy taught to me by M., one of my partners. I used it this last Thurs and got over a cold that had my husband sick for a good 5 days. I do not claim this to be safe, but it is effective.
Double (or triple if comfortable) your dose of Nightquil, sleep through the entire day, if you wake up redose. You will be out for a full 24 hours but you should be functional by then.

Ahh. I wish I could have attempted something similar. I tend to multiply doses for colds by 1.5 anyway when it comes to a before sleep dose. xp My school schedule keeps me from doing that though. But thanks for the idea. emotion_hug I'm sort of over it now. Still stuffy and from what I've seen in others I may be that way for a while (might be due to the weather change more than the cold itself) but I'm good now.
And learning to hand sew. whee Lace and fabric everywhere.

After picking up three more months of my birth control pill Sir took me to buy stickers. whee I now have dinosaurs, suns/galaxy things, and stars. We have a "you deserve a sticker" praise/reward thing that was, before now, just a verbal thing. They sparkle and I'm just generally really happy. Had a very little day. While looking for something suitable to stick them on I found a few things I was looking for and when I checked my email I found a potentially positive response for a request for aid from a company that provides product related to a scholarship project I want to work on but may not have the funds/stuff to do. Happy day is happy.

Atheist theist double think with a side of apatheism. How the hell do I get myself into these messes?
On the up, just wiggled myself out of a possible depression again. That's always good.

During a meditation last night an old lady with a cane gifted me a crown of holly and a glow-y white feather after I gave her a marble that looked like a smooth ball of yarn. Dun know what that's supposed to mean. Probably going to take it as I'm excited for giftmas and sharing my love of knitting. Eh.

So. I'm having stomach issues. I could: - be allergic to a lot of things (not unheard of in my family - my mom is allergic to basically everything except rice, fish, poultry, and most vegetables and I have come into my first allergies - a light form of hay-fever or something of that nature) - have GERD or acid reflux (something I have had issues with since I was 7 but haven't had many issues with for a couple years) - have ulcers (also not unheard of in my family and doctors suspected I had them at one point) - or I'm pregnant Basically every other possibility has some really really really serious crap tied to it of some nature or doesn't fit with my families health issues. So until these are ruled out I'm not going to worry about them.
The last one scares me the most 'cause my mom didn't show much when she was pregnant with my brother and didn't get symptoms until later in her pregnancy. I do not want to have children right now. I use two methods of contraceptives because of that. Gah. >.< I hope on Wednesday I'll have an appointment with my doctor and she'll tell me I'm allergic to chicken and/or can get me to do a pregnancy test quickly as well as something related to acid (I don't remember if there is a test other than ruling out other stuff...). Hopefully not a barium/x-ray test for ulcers. I've done them twice. They suck. I hate being constipated. >.> I would prefer that to being preggers though. I really really would.
/stupid personal late night ramble.

Thanks! You too. Tummy troubles suck. Agreed. I have been self medicating with home made candied ginger, then Riri got me a bottle of nice ginger ale.

That sounds nice. smile
My issues are surrounding eating in general. It's way worse with things like chicken and eggs and possibly salmon but everything else seems to cause a bit of upset too. emotion_donotwant I so hope I'm not going back to my stomach problems from when I was seven. Pain in the butt (literally sometimes). Have to wait until next Wednesday for results.
