Lucas grinned.
"Hey Nykarian, take care of the other ones will you?"
He winked and brought his arms above his head. Instead of dodging, Luke took the attack head on. He blocked it with the claws of his gauntlets.
"As long as you do the same!"
Lucas disappeared just as Zeek had, but he had already jumped to the next roof by the time he re-appeared.

Sothe, being the sneaky-sneaky thief he is, slipped under the blade of the scythe and out of immediate danger of being beheaded. Thus safe, he moved away from the executioner, but not off the roof. Zeek would need some help, even if it was just keeping Nykarian busy.

Hitomi stood to face Nykarian. For the first time, she got a good look at the boy, for he was too young to be called a man. He was only about her age, even maybe younger. His eyes, however, stood out the most. They were red and seemed to pierce into you. "You're an Eternal Eyes...Why do you serve a tyrant?" she asked him.

Nagi stuck his tongue out at her and threw another pillow. She had a point, which was the point of sticking his tongue out. He could sleep forever if someone didn't wake him up. As to the pillow, he just felt like throwing one. He was like that.

((Ugh. I'm not too proud of that Nagi part.))

Zeek smirked "this will be fun" he said but then realized the other two had not left yet. He glanced back at Hitomi for a second then glanced at Sothe "didn't I say leave" he asked them "don't make me push you off the roof" he added just before he vanished. He appeared a by the edge of the roof he was on. "I never underestimated you in the first place Lucas" he said to him then jumped forward to the roof he was on. He landed gently as though he weighed nothing at all. Once his foot hit the ground he appeared in front of him and swung his sword from the side.

Nykarian

When Hitomi asked why he served a tyrant, Nykarian lowered his scythe and closed his eyes for a moment. "To protect an innocent," he said, opening his eyes. "If I disobey him, someone very dear to me will pay the price." He gestured with his scythe, and fire sprang up to cut off any escape route from the roof, as well as preventing any reinforcements for both sides. "If you were in my position, would you be willing to pay the price of disobedience?" He spun his scythe in a tight circle.

'The tongue is like a sharp knife...'

Vance nodded slightly, since her answer seemed reasonable enough. He didn't know why Gabriel wanted to take her, but those in Annexus' army usually did what they wanted. "I said that it's fine already." he said, as he smiled at her. That was the other reason why he couldn't suspect her of anything, because she seemed so innocent. Suddenly there was a large sound, of metal against metal from the rooftops. Vance turned to see that Hitomi and Sothe were no longer at the mercy of Annexus' soldiers, which made it a good time to escape. "I have some questions I want to ask, but we should get away from here first."

Taking a glance around, he could see that Gabriel hadn't spotted them yet. "This way." he said, as he moved in Hitomi and Sothe's direction, pulling the girl along with him. Then suddenly, a large wall of fire erupted in front of him, blocking him off from Hitomi and Sothe. "Seems that the Goddess of Fire is angry at me today..." he muttered, as he backed away from the wall of flame.

'But it kills without drawing blood.'

Gabriel grew very irritated he hardly ever enjoyed games of cat and mouse but he was willing to play dirty. Gabriel willed the lance of the coveanant away and walked to a little kid "Hey kid where did they guy who threw water on me go gabriel said acting really nice to the kid hoping he could get information. They kid pointed at where the man was and Gabriel smiled and handed him some gold coins "Dont spend all at the same place your parents might not like that" Gabriel said as he started sprinting towards Vance as he willed the lance of the coveanant back as many of the people in the crowd began screaming. Gabriel ran up some boxes getting close to the roof before he pushed off the wall with his left foot getting him at a perfect angle to get a quick stab in before vance could retaliate. As Gabriel came closer to vance he notice isabel and locked eyes with her for a second before noticing that since he got distracted where he was aiming for vances chest his aim was altered to Vance is arm.... Gabriel held his breath as he came closer to Vance waiting to make the stab at his arm hoping Vance didnt notice intime.

As he spoke, Hitomi started to pity the poor boy. He was being forced to murder his own kind, the price of treachery the life of a loved one. There were many like that. And it was her duty as leader of the Liberation Army to help free them from their common enemy. "I see...Well, let me promise you this: as a member of the Liberation Army, it is my duty to help people like you. I will rescue your loved one, even if it costs me my life," she said quietly so no one except her, Sothe, and Nykarian could hear. She thought it best if he didn't know she was the leader. Annexus had his ways of making people talk, after all.

Now, more loudly, she said, "I'm afraid we don't have time to play with you. We must be going." That said, she quickly said something in another language and pointed at a small portion of the fire. Water poured from her fingertip and doused it. This was a rather simple spell that she had memorized. It wasn't flashy like many other spells, but it got the job done.

Hitomi grabbed Sothe's wrist and ran through the hole in the fire wall. "Hurry and catch up!" she called to Zeek as they ran through. The fire revived itself in that spot just after they both got through, nearly catching Sothe's clothes on fire. "We need to find Vance and get out of the city," she told Sothe, who nodded in response.

Vance had been too distracted by the wall of flame, that he hadn't noticed that Gabriel was launching his attack. Vance pushed the girl away from himself, so she wouldn't get hit by the fiery attack, before trying to dodge it himself. Fortunately, he avoided a direct hit, but he winced in pain as his arm was caught in the flaming lance, forcing him to drop the sword he picked up. "This way, hurry..." he said, as he grabbed the girl with his uninjured arm, and started running away from Gabriel. The burns he sustained from the attack hurt, but they should heal quickly later.

At the same moment, Hitomi and Sothe managed to escape the wall of flame, and Vance ran over to them with the girl. "No need to look for me, I'm right here." he said, as he caught up to them. "And this is... Um... Well, we should get out of here first." Vance realized that he hadn't asked the girl for her name, but introductions could come later. "Any ideas Sothe?"

'But it kills without drawing blood.'

[Faithfull Fire]

Nykarian

Nykarian watched Hitomi and Sothe ran off, and slammed his scythe into the ground, causing the fire to retreat. He ran after the two, but didn't try to catch up, and he soon used the blessing of the Wind God to vanish from sight, and made his way back to Lucas, fire sweeping across the roof top behind him to hide Hitomi and Sothe from sight as the escaped.

"I'd rather not," replied Aedan and he shrank suspiciously away from the scarred man. "My eyes are... diseased and...and stuff..."

That was his story and he was sticking with it. Even though Aedan was pretty sure that the man was one of them, and a quick look into his mind seemed to confirm this, he wasn't prepared to trust him just yet. The man's assurance that he would not hurt him, was only a little comfort. Not to mention there were soldiers much to close for his comfort. He was young, not stupid.

Before Aedan could question him further, however, the scarred man took off in a flash. There was something happening above them on the rooftops. Aedan didn't have to see the fight to feel the aura's of powers clashing above him. What a day to go to market!

When she saw a man crouched in front of her brother, she steeled herself for a possible fight and charged forward. However, the man vanished before she could say a word and she sucked in a breath in surprise.

"It was one of them..." she thought, a little stunned.

"No kidding," Aedan's mental voice intruded. "A whole war practically broke out while you were gone."

"Yeah, looks like they're on the rooftops. HEY WAIT A MINUTE," Penelope mused then snapped at her brother when she realized he had spoken telepathically. "What did I say about doing that...that...thing without warning me first?"

"Sorry," Aedan replied, not really that sheepish. "Just practicing."

Penelope looked up at the rooftops. Her curiosity was bugging her, and if she could help one of the Eternal Eyes, even in a small way...

"I'm going up to check it out... I'll be right back."

"There's a lot of strong ones up there. Let me come with you!" Aedan pleaded, rising to follow her.

"No," Penelope replied sternly. "Stay put, I'll be right back."

Not allowing for any argument, she took off down an alleyway looking for a way up. In less than a minute, she was scaling the side of the building with ease, her bow and arrows on her back. Odds were, there was nothing she could do but watch, but she wanted to try.

Sothe shook his head. "I'm not sure. The city is surrounded by a huge wall, and the architects only built one entrance, the main gate. I can see the strategic advantage of it, but it doesn't help us much. The easiest way to escape is to disguise ourselves and sneak out before word of what's happening here reaches the gate guards," he explained.

"I can help with that!" Scott said, suddenly running up. "Lady Hitomi, ((Erm...I don't know what title to use, so...)) Sir Vance. Are you both alright?"

Looking over at the Eternal Eyes boy, Hitomi asked, "Where on earth have you been?"

"Hiding," the boy said simply.

((XD I couldn't let poor Scott be left behind.))

Gabriel winced in pain as he looked up "ISABEL" Gabriel screamed as he saw vance and Isabel running away but he couldnt believe that isabel would be running with him he had to assume that it was more of a hostage situation. Gabriel got up willing the lance of the coveanant away and putting his real lance away and he felt his foot pop he didnt land the jump pretty well but it wasnt seriously injured but he knew he couldnt get to them intime and he had pretty much lost them for the most part. Gabriel was then inraged that he had promised to escort Isabel to town and he had gotten her taken away and started punching a cobble stone wall and then stoped "Im so dead Lucas is gonna murder me if he finds out the truth of what had happend". Gabriel had thought of a brilliant idea but he had no idea if it actually work his chances were slim too none but it was all the hope he could have.
Gabriel quickly sprinted to the castle anycahnces of getting isabel back would have to be put of the hands of the only person that truly loved Annexus his most loyal assassin

Gabriel had arrived at the castle and stormed through the doors he had lots of noise everyone in the catle knew someone was there and was in a hurry Gabriel opend a door and found Arisu "Arisu i need your help and i need it quick" Gabriel said as he pulled out a map "Where is Isabel heading... please i need you to try and see a vision" Gabriel scrolled open a map as quick as he could "Im going after her and i need you to try as hard as you can to see it in the future its one of the only things ive ever asked you to do for me" Gabriel said panicaking "Please point it out on the map for me" Gabriel said as he slammed his fist against the table.

Arisu had just been standing in her room when Gabriel burst in and started begging her to find where Isabel was. She couldn't help a slight smile at his request. "Gabriel, you know how my visions work. I can't control them, nor can I choose what to see." She paused a moment and let this sink in.

"However, you are in luck. I had a vision earlier this morning about something this," she told him. "Isabel is with the Liberation Army. Where they are, however, I'm afraid I don't know. But perhaps Mamoru will know. You know how he is." She sent a brief mental message to Mamoru. A moment later, he walked through the door.

"What can I help you with?" he asked calmly.

dO yoU wanT to PLaY?

Elisabeth didn't see Nagi stick his tongue out. Not that she would have reacted badly, she would have just made a face back. Right now she was too busy hanging herself precariously out the window. All the blood was rushing to her head, but she didn't care. The pillow did, however, hit her on the bum. When the pillow made contact, Elisabeth decided to overreact. She pushed off from the floor, as if startled.

"Eep!" she yelped and tumbled out the window.

It was several stories up ((I guess)) , and would likely be a fatal fall, even for Elisabeth. That is, if she wasn't hanging on quite solidly with one hand. The intention, of course, being to frighten Nagi.
