YESS, I finally finished my poem~~
I already sent PM'd it to the mule, but I wanted to post it here anyways~~~
Summers Joy
They all sing;
Summer time is joy for all who love
Just like the song of a soaring dove.
As its feathers ruffle to and fro,
The clocks’ ticking is oh so slow.
Time goes by; the children wait
Hoping for the bell to open the gate.
They all ask;
When is it to ring; when will that be?
The sound comes and they chant; we are free!
The teachers grumble but it’s not to deceive,
Summer has started and happily, they all leave.
Nothing; No work or stress to bare,
Being alone is often rare.
The stars all glitter and shine,
As they dance in the night sky; everything seems fine
Just as summers’ joy.
Shadows shying away from the suns glare,
The free neigh of a horse echoes through the air.
The leaves on the trees all tend to rustle
As the wind prances, dances and bustles.
And they all know;
Summers a time to go out, adventure and explore,
It’s a time to do things that are not just a bore.
A time to run, laugh, and have fun,
To learn new things like how to handle a gun.
A time where the grass is green
A time to love, be loved, and gleam.
A time of mystery, wonder, sorrow and grief,
A time where things may last forever or seem brief
Just as summers’ joy.

Hicktown Summer Vacation
Hearts that swell
Sounds of bells
The whispers are alive
As that clock ticks
And all us hicks
wait for it to arrive
All are done
with their exams
They almost sing a song
With tapping pencils
Anxious feet
And whispers all along
The bells go off
and we all scream
as we rampage through the halls
No more books
No more homework,
All for one and one for all.
I"m not sure how it goes when you all get out of school, but that's what it's like in my town smile

Here's my attempt. =3
The sound of fallen rain
Has given away to sun again
Far above my head, it begins to speak
"It's time, my love. Prepare for the coming week."
In my minds eye I see tall trees
Swaying to and fro in the balmy breeze
If I should try to step outdoors
I'll know in my heart, I'm forever yours
You'll leave again, of this I know
In a rush of cold harsh snow
Even so, I'll love you still
I'll beckon to your wishful will
Hands of oak and hair of green
On this day I shall be seen
Small and proud, safer and calmer
In your warm embrace my sweet, sweet Summer.

I'll definitely give it a shot. Why not? Summer is on the way, and that brings up various emotions for me. On the one hand I'll be happy that I get to wear sandals. On the other hand, frustration will set in once the stifling heat arrives.

I let me hair cascade down your back.
We hum our love
like bees
and spin dizzily
through the hot, heavy air.

summer's here!
let out a cheer
Let's graduate
extinguish the hate
that school made
through the ocean we'll wade
sports and beach and so much fun
til we're burnt and red from sun
maybe a romance or two
party hard all summer through
chill with friends, never forget
life's not dull, at least not yet.
so have that romance, burn your back
heat's the one thing we won't lack.
when school starts it soon will fade
always remember the memories you made

torriesakura Hi this is my poem for summer Summer Days Summer days are here for me Say good by to those nasty winds i wish i may i wish i had these lovely days before i'm back those blossoms which bloom and i go KA BOOM get a tan while at the beach scream, shout and fell alive these summer days just go by quick THE END By torriesakura smile I LOVE THIS. Summer sings
Where the tiny hermit crab hides
His notes, his nothings
On a quiet heart
Summer stains
Former friends and lovers depart
Leaving summer pains
And summer veins
Hold off the chains
When can summer start
