At the mention of his younger sibling, Aesa sat bolt upright, laying a hand on Ace's chest for balance when she would have toppled over. "Alex! Ace will she be alright on her own - she's so small!" She was mentally berating herself for forgetting about the child, no matter how convoluted the evening had become. The child was exceedingly mature for her tender age but to them to not return with not so much as a note - what must she be thinking right now? She didn't give Ace time to answer her original question before she went on to ramble, "I will go go back right now. Stay in bed and rest." Aesa began to push off Ace's body, fully intent on finding her way back to their home in the woods to secure the child's wellbeing.

F a t e lies ahead Like the sun will rise The light has been gone far too long From your e y e s Λϲє "Aesa, Aesa! Relax," Ace said wrapping a strong arm around her small waist pulling her back down onto the bed as she tried to get up and flee back to her home. "She's been left alone for a while. She'll be here in the morning, relax. I promise she'll be fine," he said softly with his voice straining holding her. He had vanished for weeks before and she knew to go to Marri's home and stay there until he came to get her. They'd been over this a million times and wasn't worried about it at all. ::=======>> ⅩⅠⅠⅠ <<=======:: The light in your eyes keeps fading out The night's falling d e e p e r the heart Hiding the truth and crashing down My baby's a dancer in the dark

F a t e lies ahead Like the sun will rise The light has been gone far too long From your e y e s Λϲє Ace sighed feeling her finally relax making his body thankful for no longer being strained even if she was smaller than him. He loosened up his grip but he still held her looking at her quietly until she saw her bush. At this he closed his eyes and looked away blushing a little as he took his hand away and just used his arms to keep himself propped up as he looked at her. When he looked down though, he realized why she was blushing and he chuckled a little bit. He looked at her and bit his lip at her next question though. He rubbed his eyes and then looked at a few of his scars thinking about how to answer it.
"Yes and no," he finally said shrugging. "I have been proved to kill one, but I've killed a lot more, yes. I have no idea how many I've killed but I try to keep myself from doing so the best I can. Some times though, I have to keep someone else safe looking." He looked at her quietly rubbing the largest scar on his chest. He laid down on the bed quietly and closed his eyes rubbing them before just resting one arm over his gut before looking up at her again softly with curious, bright eyes. ::=======>> ⅩⅠⅠⅠ <<=======:: The light in your eyes keeps fading out The night's falling d e e p e r the heart Hiding the truth and crashing down My baby's a dancer in the dark

F a t e lies ahead Like the sun will rise The light has been gone far too long From your e y e s Λϲє Ace looked up at her quietly before she leaned over him bringing her voice down to a whisper. He flinched away at first naturally, but he still listened to his words as he laid still and looked up into her eyes almost as if he was reading her. As if he was figuring the answer for her own question right out of her eyes. After a second though he closed his eyes for a few moments before opening them again to her eyes. "Don't. If you can, keep your hands from being stained by blood. Its not going to be easy at all. Your first kill is always dreadful leaving you trying to convince yourself that it was justified by your reasons, while your logical mind will betray you telling you it wasn't morally correct. As more fall to your hand," he stopped taking in a deep breath before he continued, "it will become easier and the pain that comes with it will fade, but that dull ache will still be there."
When he finished speaking, his eyes no longer held the pain, the sadness, they held a foreign fire to them. A fire that burned in his soul and consumed everything without care with a darker side to them as they almost seemed to glow a piercing blue. Realizing his gaze, he averted his eyes over at something else trying to keep his mind off that before looking back at her again with that sight gone. Still, a little remained, but his eyes had returned to their normal sea color again. He bit his lip slightly tasting the remaining bits of blood from the healed wound letting the metallic taste bring him back. When he'd regained himself completely, he looked into her eyes again willing for more questions or what ever she threw at him. ::=======>> ⅩⅠⅠⅠ <<=======:: The light in your eyes keeps fading out The night's falling d e e p e r the heart Hiding the truth and crashing down My baby's a dancer in the dark

F a t e lies ahead Like the sun will rise The light has been gone far too long From your e y e s Λϲє He closed his eyes biting his lip before looking up at the ceiling in deep thought before looking at her. "I don't know. My father always told me that when I was born, he had to run with me and keep me away from my mother as I wasn't suppose to be born and wasn't allowed to be. She supposedly payed for that fact, but I wouldn't be surprised if she's dead. Alex isn't my full blood sister, her mother is another thief, another rouge gypsy that my father fell for. Aside from that she's never known me, he only told me that she is a reason I have survived so long clashing with magic. He told me I wasn't a complete rouge and she was a beautiful mage. One of the highest classes and the queen's own assistant," he sighed closing his eyes shaking his head as he brought himself back down to reality. It didn't mater who his mother was to him, he'd almost died from magic all the time, sure he was resistant to some of it, though he wasn't sure if he would thank his herritige. He would more be thanking the rigerous training his father put him though.
He scratched his rough face sighing looking up at her again. He felt so odd for answering all these questions but he figured if someone would know him truly before he died or something. Maybe he was just tired of fighting this practicly alone with everyone wanting him dead. Aesa at least relaxed that idea and let him feel more human. ::=======>> ⅩⅠⅠⅠ <<=======:: The light in your eyes keeps fading out The night's falling d e e p e r the heart Hiding the truth and crashing down My baby's a dancer in the dark

F a t e lies ahead Like the sun will rise The light has been gone far too long From your e y e s Λϲє Ace looked over at her when he felt her weight on his shoulder and he couldn't help himself but to smile lightly feeling her cooler face against him. He wrapped his arm around her softly stroking her shoulder with his thumb as she spoke sounding so tired. It mad him tired knowing that his sleep needs would be full filled in a little. "Of course, I need to. Its my responsibility to do so," he said softly closing his eyes again with his breathing slowing down again to almost unnoticeable as he finally fell asleep. His whole body seemed to shut down as he slept with only his head falling softly to the side resting his face against her and pulling the blanket over both of them without really thinking about how odd it might be if someone saw them. It just felt right laying there with her and cradling her against him.
He didn't move at all in his sleep due to Aesa laying on his arm, but he did get tense a lot as he slept. His hand would ball into a fist, his muscles would contract he just wasn't sleeping well at all as his face was twisted into a scowl. After a while of this, he woke up at sunrise breathing deeper and faster than usual as his body fought to take in that he was fine and nothing was wrong. He looked down at her and gently slipped himself out from under her replacing himself with the warm pillow. He looked out at the sunrise and climbed out the window sitting on the roof in the cold in his pants just looking around quietly. He needed to relax, if this kept up, he was never going to sleep again and Aesa would never get him. Asea. God, he was going to miss her even if he'd only spent a little time with her. He rubbed his eyes trying to clear his mind and be able to think. Everything was blown out of what was normal and that idea had all been lost. He wished that everything would just go away and stop for a little bit. His stress levels were ridiculous as he shook slightly from it. He needed either to be knocked out to get a good sleep or he needed a job. One or the other. Something to take his mind off it all and recuperate. ::=======>> ⅩⅠⅠⅠ <<=======:: The light in your eyes keeps fading out The night's falling d e e p e r the heart Hiding the truth and crashing down My baby's a dancer in the dark

F a t e lies ahead Like the sun will rise The light has been gone far too long From your e y e s Λϲє Ace looked out at the stormy weather in the distance with his mind lost before he heard something hit the window repetitively. He looked over seeing Aesa and he smiled slightly and stood up ignoring the dew that tried to collect to him like the roof. " "Its beautiful out if you'd like to join me," he said softly holding a hand out to her after he'd opened up the window. He didn't know if she would trust him, but he hoped she would. For an odd reason, being around her relaxed him enough to be alive without all the pain or adrenaline, just living. Just enjoying himself. "Its not as slick as it looks, I promise. If you do slip, I also promise I'll catch you," he assured her as he looked at her calmly with relaxed and tired eyes, but still willful like he'd been the day before. Honestly, it was near impossible to keep him down long with so much pent up energy that it seemed almost limitless at times. ::=======>> ⅩⅠⅠⅠ <<=======:: The light in your eyes keeps fading out The night's falling d e e p e r the heart Hiding the truth and crashing down My baby's a dancer in the dark

Aesa looked first from him to the ground below. Far below in her biased estimation. But hadn't he kept his word to date? "You had best be awake and your reflexes honed Master Thief for I am not prepared to tumble off the roof." As the last was spoken she reached out and took his offered hand, stepping gingerly out into the crisp morning air. She made it a point to avoid looking at the street below and kept her eyes focused on Ace's face. He was right - it wasn't nearly as treacherous as it had seemed at first glance but it was still dangerous to her less dexterious self. Using his hand to balance herself she slowly lowered herself to a sitting position, shivering at the cold contact as the dew seeped through her borrowed breeches. "How are you out here with no shirt?" As though her words were a trigger she took in his scarred torso again, blushing as she made eye contact. Well that was a little warmer.

F a t e lies ahead Like the sun will rise The light has been gone far too long From your e y e s Λϲє "I promise," he said yet again. Ace held her hand softly but tight keeping her balanced before letting her lower herself. He sat down next to her calmly shivering a little bit but it felt good as he was still extremely warm and still sick from the previous night. He looked over at her raising an eyebrow at her question. "I enjoy the cold. I'm always warm so being out here in the morning feels good and its kind of relaxing," he explained softly closing his eyes. He laid down on his back before looking over at her quietly wondering what was on her mind, but he couldn't ask. It just wasn't possible for him. He picked his head up though sitting up again seeing someone in the distance as a faint small figure. He narrowed his eyes as he leaned forward like a cat who was about to pounce might do. Seeing the small child dart into another house though, he sat back down calmly with a sigh to settle himself back down onto the roof again. ::=======>> ⅩⅠⅠⅠ <<=======:: The light in your eyes keeps fading out The night's falling d e e p e r the heart Hiding the truth and crashing down My baby's a dancer in the dark

Aesa shook her head and leaned forward, warpping her arms about her knees to keep her body heat as contained as possible. While she was not one who demanded the more excessive creature comforts in life she did like to stay warm. As Ace leaned forward intently, Aesa squinted her eyes to make out the small figure of a child heading home in the early hours. Assuming he was out waiting for Alex, one corner of her mouth lifted in a half smile though she turned her head to the side to hide it from him. "You know you truly should still be in bed. I was not jesting when I said I would tie you down if need be." And she wasn't. His welfare while mission critical for her tasks weighed heavily on her mind for more personal reasons that she refused to analyze. She wondered if it would become necessary as he seemed incapable of sitting still for more than a few moments at a time.
