This above person is the smartest person ever ^^ Being gay is wrong PERIOD. And to the people who are like God doesn't condemn I have no clue what you are reading but maybe you should try reading the Bible. God does not hate us no but he is a judging God and he will condemn and judge us for our sins. I would also like to add how adamant God is about homosexuality. The above gaian quoted those verses which I agree with but later in chapter in verse 32 Paul clearly puts, "Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them." Does it get more black and white then that?

Thank you but the credit goes to God. I only quote the Bible and try to explain it the people who need help understanding it.

(I have a feeling I'm going to be bashed so hard for this.....)
I completly understand the the bible is the word of God. I respect it completly. Understand this before reading on.

The New Testiment was written nearly 2000 years ago. The bible was written by man. Obviously, no matter how holy these people were, their writings were going to be in some way influenced by society.

Gay people are now a whole lot more respected nowadays than they would have been back then. Heck, the Church of England are now allowing churches to have gay weddings if they want to. And don't tell me the Church of England isn't Christian. It is. It's Protestant. I'm not a Protestant, I'm Catholic, but I know a fair amount about Lutheran and Presbyterian, and I know for certain that they are forms of Christianity.

So what I'm saying is, as society changed, the bible did not. My personal belief is that our loving God wouldn't judge these people because of their sexuality. Remember what Jesus taught? Everyone is welcome in the Kingdom of God. Those who aren't accepted by society hold a special place in the Kingdom of God. I think bisexuals, lesbians and homosexuals fit into this category.

Again, everything I said is my own personal belief. No one has any right to discriminate me for that. Let me know your opinions, but these are mine, and I'm entitled to them.

I am confused as to why you would come to a guild that loves and serves God, that hold his word close to their heart, that seeks answers in the word of God, and makes that the final say in the matter, to get approval for homosexuality.
Trying to argue the point is nothing more than wanting to hear yourself talk. You have been given verse after verse. You are not open or willing to hear the word of God.
Here is our position once and for all:
1. God is the one true god. There are no other gods, just him.
2. The Bible is his living word and that is where we seek answers to questions we have. It guides our lives.
3. Homosexuality is wrong. The Bible says so.

Then everyone should grab a Bible and Burn it to ashes....

Then you are saying that God, who was and is and is to come. God who is all powerful and all knowing would allow the Bible to be written with people's opinion and influence. Also you are saying that it is outdated. Do you really think that God would give us a book that would become outdated? Do you think that we can really outgrow God?

Burning the Bible will not make homosexuality right in God's eyes. You will still have to answer to God for your thoughts and actions. Your acceptance or rejection of God is in your hands and you are the one who will have to answer on judgment day. He does not force you to love him he allows you to have your own free will but that will not stop judgment day from coming. He is a fair just God.

Then try and explain. The Bible is either the eternal word of God written with divine inspiration and not man's opinion or it is just another book. God's word is eternal and everlasting. If churches are now allowing gay marriage then that is their flaw and goes against the word of God. People make mistakes but God does not.

I agree with iamlost4ever. He can not force one's mind to accept Him. The Living Word is the Truth, and it is written that a man and women are to be together as ONE. No where in the Word does it say it is ok, for a women and a women, nor a man and a man, nor living an adulterous lifestyle is acceptable. Let me lay it out this way; the Holy Word is the route to your salvation. You either choose it, or you do not. I have nothing against those who choose to live a different lifestyle, but I do try to reassure them that sin must be separated from light. It's the Will of God.

I never said anything about outgrowing God. Look at what I highlighted there. I just don't believe our God would judge people for their sexuality, like people did 2000 years ago, and still do now, though not to such a great extent. Again, my personal belief.

One of the many amazing gifts God gave us was free will. He may have influenced the writers of the bible about what they were writing, but he did not control what they wrote. That would be going against the whole idea of making our own choices, one of the beliefs of Christians.

Revelation 22:18-19 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

1 Corinthians 6:9
Listen to this passage

9 Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men[a]

Footnotes:
1 Corinthians 6:9 The words men who have sex with men translate two Greek words that refer to the passive and active participants in homosexual acts.

But burning the Bibles would stop future children from reading the damn thing that has brainwashed so many unfortunate People. The bible is a curse in my opinion.
