Arc: I'm assuming they mean the usual purchase system, plus two free items. The rest you buy.
Anyway, I'll partake and have a character ready posthaste. I'll build a Runepriest/Fighter (multiclass, mind you, not Hybrid, I don't want an underpowered Leader).
I'm having an issue with Gaia, however, that isn't letting me make post actions. I'll do the 22-point buy and let you know what the results are.
EDIT: ...Nevermind, I'll do a die roll.

Nothing under 10. Not bad, but a bit of an uneven spread. Nothing that a race buff can't fix.

So that's level 9 item starting gold. + 1 level 11 item + 1 level 10 item edit: or not edit 2: make up your mind lol Wolfram Asher Davidson The character builder calls adding items outside of purchasing "adding." To answer the question, if anyone was wondering what i meant, you can add two items outside of purchasing with coin. That's what i meant. The change was to personal taste, but given what i have read, you may want two "adds."

Inf is correct in the last edit. To make this a challenge, you are only permitted 2 non-purchased items at first.
The next question i have is about experience in an encounter. If the experience for the encounter is, say, 6000, and it's a 6-man crew, does each person just get 1000 each?

The PHB says that the starting items at higher levels is one item of a level above, below, and at your own level, plus the gold equivalent to an item below your level. That makes 3 adds.
