The Temple of Darkness
As Cain went ballistic and slew a snake, Rithin drew out a rod and pointed it straight at the Kenku. And if Pelloth hadn't been slightly faster, you sense the human would have cursed him. When Pelloth spoke, Rithin nodded and glared intently at Cain. "That is true Cain, you should be punished. But first..."
Rithin pointed his rod at the two pieces of the dead snake on the floor. A small green globule fell out of the end and floated toward the dead serpent. When it reach them, it stretched outwards, so that it connected both ends of the snake. It then constricted together, pulling the parts of the snake until they too had connected. The green goo then briefly flashed bright, before the snake appeared whole again, and began to slither over to Rithin. The snake slithered up Rithins leg and body, until it was coiled around his left hand, much the same as Pelloth.
"Cain, you have potential. If I were only a priest of Zehir, you would be dead with your body left for my snakes to explore and devour. But, my loyalties also lie with the Bloodstone Stalkers, and I answer to a power almost as high as Zehir himself. I am telling you now though, kill or even threaten one of my snakes again, and it will be the last thing you do before I send you to the void."
Rithin then looks at the sofa and makes some small gestures. The snakes slither off it, and take to exploring the floor, desk and bookcases. The sofa is now free for you to sit on.
Rithin then sits back down on his chair, but rod in hand and ready to use. "Now, what business did we have?"
