Apparently they don't like being shouted at. This theory is proved, as another squeaky voice retorts, "Well perhaps your corpses will have nuts!" and fires its own arrow. This one bounces off the Goliath's armor, clearly of superior design, or maybe just superior size. Meanwhile, the clay pillar thing men go on the move, one follows Sylvanis into the thick of the party, which the wounded warlord might take offense to. the other pulls Colbertron closer while swinging its other arm to absorb Van into its welcoming mass as well. It seems like it's about to shapeshift again, but doesn't quite get there, remaining in its lumpy, ambiguous form for now. The armadillo Sylvanis addressed bounces after the warlord happily, and uses its inexplicable psychic powers to answer him, "We would, but the kerpcas just don't listen to reason when it comes to nuts. And Envelopers aren't really the brightest things in the world. You could try talking to them while they're attempting to absorb you though, they seem to get more reasonable when they're being fed." ((Sylvanis takes one last 5 damage and can make an opportunity attack on enveloper 1. Van, you are grappled by enveloper 2 and have initiative. Taem can go to. map))

((ooc:could u stop having me be the first person to get fired at, you always get 19's or better on hit or maybe not roll so damn high all the time lol wink )) Another arrow cut into him, but not as much as words form the squirrels. Then now there was an armadillo on his head talking to him without using his mouth. Dying by squirrels looking for nuts, what an odd way to go. Then an enveloper, I'd assume to be the name, approached nearby, leaving itself open for a swing. Yelling loudly for the squirrels to hear, "Oh look, I bet these things are completely full of delicious nuts"
+7 to hit

Vanguard was saddened as his friend died. That was not good. He did not even know its name yet. But he had other distractions. Large ones, molding and moving and grabbing at him with giant gooey hands.
The warforged was enveloped before he knew it, which didn't seem to provoke any shift at all of his metallic features, and only a brief discomfort in his body language as he shifted the spear up for use despite the handicap and looked at the creature.
"Let go."
Assuming it did not release him he would, with no particular malice, raise his spear back and stab for the enveloper holding him, stabbing from above his head downward with the great spear and channeling force of his primal powers into it, power leaking over both the large shifters and spreading his challenge. The spikes probably wouldn't do too much good for the two of them either if he managed to raise them properly. And from there he pushed and pulled, trying to work free.
[Earth Spikes: 1d20+10=24 vs AC] [Mark all adjacent enemies (both envelopers).] [Escape attempt: 1d20+9=14 vs Fortitude, shift 1SE if successful]

However, the creature proves doughy-er than the warforged expected and it holds him fast. Two of the squirrels don't seem to picky about who they take pot-shots at, and when the half-elf retreats, they're happy to fire on the more prominent goliath. His armor proves just as vulnerable to their arrows as their last target, so much for fine dwarven craftsmanship. ((Fawks takes 10 damage. maybe you guys should try attacking the squirrels instead of swimming around in that barrel. Colbertron, Taem go. map))

"No! No thank you, that's quite close enough. I don't do intimacy well, not after the Fall of the Empire!"
((Escape grab! Acro +2))
Colbertron stumbles out of the gooey mass and sweeps away waving to his allies. ((moves, provoking OA, 4 E, 2 NE, activaitng shadow walk))
As he moves his image splits into four pieces as though he were viewed form all sides at once, and a flowing spectral standard billows in his wake.
Unless that thing grabs him again.

Rather, he has the sort that notice him covering their flank and shoot tiny ordinance at him. Fortunately the warforged is his own special effects team, and the rodent archer is so dazzled it misses him completely, who gave squirrels bows anyway? ((Fawks, you have initiative. Map))

Fawks is Bloodied.
Looks at the pretty jewel on the armadillos head " It's pretty but Fawks will let you keep it little buddy."
Fawks takes a moment to shake off his new wounds and moves closer to his foes.
