that's assuming it is a singled layer shield... how about multiple shields... built the same way... one within the other, that uses the dispersed power of the first to feed the next one created... the only cost to erecting them is the initial draw... after which they become self perpetrating... spindles work... but they take time to construct... faster iffin ye draw from yerself... slower iffin ye draw from the surroundings... ye'd be open to attact as well...

That's what I'm working on right now...*Shows her the page*...I think the trick is to destroy the first shield...then wait out and block any attacks...but the spindle won't help...so I would have to find a way to disrupt...OF COURSE!!!
*Constructs a quick model of the layered shield...then cloaks it in Void, cutting off it's energy supply....he takes the cloak down when the first shield collapses*
Now we just wait out the other's...if they rely on the first shield for their power supply...they'll fall...right?

lyssan nods... yes... if they are truly drawing on it's energy... but ye have to be careful... i refuse to sink me spell anchors fully in meself... it's dangerous and foolish... i usually have a secondary feed.... and i'm not alone in that... we've had more than one youngling lost because they forgot about that little detail....
ye have to disguise that secondary feed though.... still iffin it is small enough to avoid detection, ye can outwait yer foes, while they deplete themselves trying to bring down yer shields.... catch me drift?

So I'd need some kind of seeking spell? Woder how I should go about that...can't raise another cloak...they're draining to the utmost...perhaps a series of threads...attracted to energy...

aye... i suspect that would work... but remember yer opponent will be waiting ye out... hence he or she will have a bit more time and energy to figure out what yer up to as as ye try to feel them out... so yer seeking spell needs to be subtle... almost to the point of non-existent...
lyssan examines the sandwich then digs in... not bad... we should open a shop somewhere... the lion and fox cafe..... i could run the front and ye can run the back....

Diner/dive...but with a sophisticated, japanese air...serving seafood and italian...with some good old country thrown in...and a sushi bar (I'm learning...just not very good at it)...

i liked rolled sushi... not only pretty but pretty tasty too... i like the blended flavors.... hubby likes it... hmmm how can i say this... nigiri style... raw fish and all.... sashimi is good, but i only like certain types....
