"So where to now?" Mayumi asked as she kissed David one more time. She put her helmet on and got on the motorcycle.

"I don't know. It doesn't matter to me." David swallowed the carton of bleach in one gulp, just like with the coke can. "Back to the hotel maybe? Unless you want to do something else first."

Mayumi looked at her watch. "Holy, Shiz! Man it's late." She looked at David. "get on, we're going to the hotel. I've got school tomorow."

"Okay, let's go." He got on the motorcycle behind Mayumi. Of course he rarely went to school but he didn't tell her that. Even if he had to he always skipped classes.

(Wow, its really been too long since i posted. Sorry bout that...)

I'm through living in sorrow...

User Image
It had seemed like forever...Tessa was on top of the tallest building in the city for days now. As the sun passed over her, filling the sky with light, she could feel almost as if her powers were attuning to it. Every morning, the top of the building seemed to me covered in beautiful plants, looking almost like a garden. However, as the moon rose in the sky, bringing with it the darkness of night, all the plants wilted and died, and this beautiful garden turned into something that looked more like something out of a nightmare. It became a mass of thorns and black, dying plants. But all of this was being done subconsciously while Tessa meditated. The man who she had spoken to had told her that for her to control her power, her mind had to be at an equilibrium. Her negative thoughts begot a negative power, and her positive thoughts begot a positive one. Neither was good or evil, and both had a place in her heart. Tessa could finally understand.

"I...I feel...at peace..."
Tessa looked up to the brightly shining sun of a new day and a smile came across her face. She knew she wouldn't be able to fix everything she had done, but now it was time to move on. It would be difficult, but she needed to start a new life. Sitting around and doing nothing but feeling sorry and hating herself would not only do nothing to help, it would also put a lot of people, even the whole world, in danger. She needed to start over, and that's exactly what she would do...
"And...I also feel hungry...how long have I been up here?"
Tessa could feel her stomach rumbling; not being able to die didn't mean she didn't get hungry either. And having been up there for weeks alone, she was overdue for a meal. Tessa looked down off the top of the building, searching the city from an aerial view.
"I wonder what's been going on since I left? I'm sure with all those characters at the hotel, there's probably something hectic going on...speaking of the hotel...I still need to pay something for that room..."

Taking a step up to the edge of the roof, Tessa took another step right off of it. She started hurtling down from the roof at a great speed as onlookers on the ground screamed, thinking the girl was trying to kill herself. As Tessa's headfirst dive was bringing her closer to the concrete ground, she closed her eyes and smiled.
"Out of all the times I've done this, I've never noticed how fun it feels to fly through the air like this..."
Flipping herself around, Tessa concentrated some of the energy of her soul into her hand, forming it into her signature sword, and stabbing it into the side of the building to slow her fall. She slid down the side of the building the rest of the way, landing on her feet in the center of a group of surprised onlookers. She let her sword dissipate and got back up to her feet, looking at the people around her.
"...What? The elevator was broken..."

...Now, it's time for me to just live.

I'm not just some killer...

The two police officers were just of a regular patrol route when they noticed the strong smell of blood coming from an alley. Both of them got out of their squad car with pistols drawn to check it out, being extremely cautious. The female officer made sure to call it in before they went; where there was the smell of blood this strong, there was usually a murder, and the killer could be close by. As the two made it to the alley, what they saw sickened the both of them. There were pieces of bodies everywhere. It looked like the people had been put in a giant blender; it was difficult to tell that they were actually human. The real indication was that the killer hadn't damaged any of the people's faces, and the lifeless heads of five victims were staring right at the officers.
"My god, I'm gonna be sick..."
"Hey, there's a guy over there."
Against the wall sat a silver haired young man, the look of shock apparent on his face. There wasn't a drop of blood on him that didn't seem to come from sitting on the ground, and he looked to paralyzed with fear to move a muscle.
"The guy who did this left a witness? He probably killed these people right in front of the poor man..."
"I'll go see if I can speak to him. He's in shock, but maybe we can get enough out of him to get some kind of lead on who did this."
The female officer walked up to him, trying to speak to him without frightening him any more.
"Are you okay sir? Can you tell me your name?"
"I-it's...Xavier..."
He seemed to be barely responsive enough to respond, but he then looked up to her, looking at the badge and then up to her face.
"I...I saw it all...he...he ripped them...her ripped them all up...I saw...I saw his face...I...I remember it..."
"You remember the killer's face!?"
The officer was trying to hold back the surprise in her voice. Usually, witnesses of such horrible crimes blocked out the images from their memory, and it lead to investigations taking forever, and criminals getting away. But if this guy could identify the guy, they could get him.
"Xavier, I know it'll be hard, but can you describe the guy to me?"
Xavier lifted his head, fear in his eyes as he looked to the bodies in front of him, and he seemed not to be able to say anything. He did, however, point to the window that was just behind the officer. She turned to the window with her pistol ready. The killer could still be in there. She moved to the window cautiously, peering through it once she was close. As she looked, though, all she saw in the dark room was a mirror that was on the wall, and in the mirror was the reflection of Xavier, his hair over his eyes, and an evil grin on his face. She knew right then the mistake she had made, and that it was too late. Xavier pounced from where he was sitting, his claws in his hands, and stabbed the officer right through the back with the already blood-drenched claw in his right hand. The officer's partner immediately pointed his gun at Xavier, but Xavier turned so the female officer was in front of him, using her as a human shield. Xavier took her gun with his free hand and pointed it at the male officer.
"We have backup on the way, you won't be able to escape. Let her go and put your weapons down now!"
Xavier didn't seemed threatened at all, he looked more like he was enjoying himself.
"Well, even if they catch me or kill me or whatever, your pretty little partner will still be dead. I stabbed her in a way that she can survive, if she gets to a hospital quickly...but one twist of my wrist, and she dies. And you police do love making people wait and sweat, but I have all day here, and your partner, sadly, does not. So how about you listen to me and do what I say, and I let her live? Oh, I'm feeling generous, so what the hell! I'll let the both of you live! Drop your weapon and take off your uniform, and do it quickly, she doesn't have all day..."
The officer doubted that Xavier could get to him, but then he realized he was out in the open with no real cover while Xavier was safe using his partner as a shield. Xavier could easily shoot him where he was.
"F-fine...I don't have a choice, do I?"
The officer complied, removing his uniform. Xavier moved over and grabbed the uniform, releasing the female officer. Once he did, though, he turned the gun towards both officers and unloaded the whole clip. Both of them shut their eyes, knowing it was over, murderers like him couldn't be trusted. However, every shot purposely missed the two by a hair, Xavier was just having a little fun with them..
"Hey, I said I'd let the two of you live...you need to be more trusting! Well, you should hurry off and get her to a hospital, huh? I have more people to meet..."
Xavier ran into the cop car, and used it to get away.

...I am death itself...

(Oh nose! The evil serial killer has a police car and uniform now! Watch out if you get pulled over...)

Now let's see...

Genevieve looked around the city as she tried to find the person. Of course she had no clue what he looked like but it was worth a try. Her head turned then she finally walked forward with her wings tucked close to her side. She could tell people were staring at her but didn't care.

I'll find something out about him sooner or later.

::Eastwood looked around the city scape, trying to get his bearings of the cardinal directions. After a while his thoughts turned to the hunt.:: Let's see the attack was recent and on a large scale. Something like that would make a headline or two for the newspapers. Knowing reporters they probably got a decent bit of dirt already to work with. ::He picked up a newspaper off a nearby stand and began to read it. His eyes scanned for the attack on the hotel. Of course it was there but there was nothing in the way of statements from guests or management it seemed. He continued to read, propping himself against the stand. He let out a small sigh, mumbling to himself:: Couldn't find a new hero around if your life depended on it. How are us older folk supposed to get some well earned rest and relaxation.

Genevieve walked into a dark alley where no one could see her. Alright, in order to find this guy right away she would require some help. Perhaps...if she just found a way to be in 'two places at once'...or at least in a manner of speaking....

She raised a hand over the ground and a salt-like sediment began to fall onto the ground. She whispered something under her breath, too soft for anyone to hear:

Za svaki onaj koji pada,
dvoje će nastati,
doći k meni,
iz dubine pakla,
da moj biding.

As soon as she said it, each of the small grains of salt began to grow larger until each was about the size of a small, white mouse. Each one had four, spindly legs all attatched to a tiny body. There were no eyes on them but they seemed to know where they were going as the scuttled around on the cement.

"You know what to do. And keep out of sight." With that, they instantly left, disapearing just as quickly as they had come. Satisfied, Genevieve grinned and walked back onto the street. Sooner or later, they would bring her some information about this guy. All she had to do was wait.

::Eastwood let out another sigh. His search was proving fruitless. Usually an attack of that scale would have someone claiming over who had done it, he had never understood the ego of villans. He set the paper back, disgusted that even reporters couldn't seem to do things right anymore. He closed his eyes and thought back to the bar. One name rang out in his head from a conversation. Garakon. Perhaps that was a good place to look for clues. His eyes snapped open, his vision scanning for any place that could halp him with this new bit of information::
