I'm not just some killer...
The two police officers were just of a regular patrol route when they noticed the strong smell of blood coming from an alley. Both of them got out of their squad car with pistols drawn to check it out, being extremely cautious. The female officer made sure to call it in before they went; where there was the smell of blood this strong, there was usually a murder, and the killer could be close by. As the two made it to the alley, what they saw sickened the both of them. There were pieces of bodies everywhere. It looked like the people had been put in a giant blender; it was difficult to tell that they were actually human. The real indication was that the killer hadn't damaged any of the people's faces, and the lifeless heads of five victims were staring right at the officers.
"My god, I'm gonna be sick..."
"Hey, there's a guy over there."
Against the wall sat a silver haired young man, the look of shock apparent on his face. There wasn't a drop of blood on him that didn't seem to come from sitting on the ground, and he looked to paralyzed with fear to move a muscle.
"The guy who did this left a witness? He probably killed these people right in front of the poor man..."
"I'll go see if I can speak to him. He's in shock, but maybe we can get enough out of him to get some kind of lead on who did this."
The female officer walked up to him, trying to speak to him without frightening him any more.
"Are you okay sir? Can you tell me your name?"
"I-it's...Xavier..."
He seemed to be barely responsive enough to respond, but he then looked up to her, looking at the badge and then up to her face.
"I...I saw it all...he...he ripped them...her ripped them all up...I saw...I saw his face...I...I remember it..."
"You remember the killer's face!?"
The officer was trying to hold back the surprise in her voice. Usually, witnesses of such horrible crimes blocked out the images from their memory, and it lead to investigations taking forever, and criminals getting away. But if this guy could identify the guy, they could get him.
"Xavier, I know it'll be hard, but can you describe the guy to me?"
Xavier lifted his head, fear in his eyes as he looked to the bodies in front of him, and he seemed not to be able to say anything. He did, however, point to the window that was just behind the officer. She turned to the window with her pistol ready. The killer could still be in there. She moved to the window cautiously, peering through it once she was close. As she looked, though, all she saw in the dark room was a mirror that was on the wall, and in the mirror was the reflection of Xavier, his hair over his eyes, and an evil grin on his face. She knew right then the mistake she had made, and that it was too late. Xavier pounced from where he was sitting, his claws in his hands, and stabbed the officer right through the back with the already blood-drenched claw in his right hand. The officer's partner immediately pointed his gun at Xavier, but Xavier turned so the female officer was in front of him, using her as a human shield. Xavier took her gun with his free hand and pointed it at the male officer.
"We have backup on the way, you won't be able to escape. Let her go and put your weapons down now!"
Xavier didn't seemed threatened at all, he looked more like he was enjoying himself.
"Well, even if they catch me or kill me or whatever, your pretty little partner will still be dead. I stabbed her in a way that she can survive, if she gets to a hospital quickly...but one twist of my wrist, and she dies. And you police do love making people wait and sweat, but I have all day here, and your partner, sadly, does not. So how about you listen to me and do what I say, and I let her live? Oh, I'm feeling generous, so what the hell! I'll let the both of you live! Drop your weapon and take off your uniform, and do it quickly, she doesn't have all day..."
The officer doubted that Xavier could get to him, but then he realized he was out in the open with no real cover while Xavier was safe using his partner as a shield. Xavier could easily shoot him where he was.
"F-fine...I don't have a choice, do I?"
The officer complied, removing his uniform. Xavier moved over and grabbed the uniform, releasing the female officer. Once he did, though, he turned the gun towards both officers and unloaded the whole clip. Both of them shut their eyes, knowing it was over, murderers like him couldn't be trusted. However, every shot purposely missed the two by a hair, Xavier was just having a little fun with them..
"Hey, I said I'd let the two of you live...you need to be more trusting! Well, you should hurry off and get her to a hospital, huh? I have more people to meet..."
Xavier ran into the cop car, and used it to get away.
...I am death itself...(Oh nose! The evil serial killer has a police car and uniform now! Watch out if you get pulled over...)
