Kerobian *Sighs* Lyssan...That is one weakness Voidmages have that we don't like bandied about. We cannot, quite literally, break our oaths. Note that I said "can" not...not "will" not. I am physically unable to break my oath, no matter how hard I try. I wish, with all my heart, that I could, but I simply can't do it. My power won't let me...unless the entire oath is met in spirit. *Turns away* But if you really are disavowing yourselves of my friendship...then I'll go back to the Void. I should have known it would happen. I was fooling myself all along. Who could love a creature like me...a F***ing half-breed? Even my parents hated me...I could see it in their eyes. My only home has ever been the Void... *Breaks down into sobs as his body shimmers, preparing to teleport* can it kiddo... who said ye had to go back there... but ye have a decidedly handy way of getting out of stuff with that i made an oath bit... it grows tiresome, ye know... an i tell ye this... iffin ye really feel as if ye'd not wish for an oath to hold ye, it won't... void mage or no void mage... oaths made in a blind fit o anger... or under duress don't bind... i've lived long enough to know that... an if that is whatcha been taught... then i feel sorry for yer teacher... it is the oath of the heart that binds, no other... to give one's word is honorable... to use it as an excuse is a mark of shame... to stand by yer word is a mark of maturity, but only iffin the word ye stand by is worthy of maintawining... to simply hold to ye word because ye spoke it is to lose all that ye were striving for in the first place...

Very well...I will attempt to repair that ship...but if I suddenly freeze in the middle of the work, don't be suprised.

Austin...I'll say it again...this is magical business. And I'm more than a fancy pile of dust...I'm THE fancy-lookin pile of dust. wink
Ly...I said earlier I was immune to most Geasa...this excludes my own oaths...Iffin I swear to do something, I must do it, or risk being pulled into the Void and killed by my own power. There is one way out...the one I swore to originally must formally release me and name a penalty in addition to what the original oath requires me to perform. Now we just have to find the one I originally swore to.
