"What? Oh. Yes, that's right..." Emily looked a bit surprised by Max's assertion that they should head to class, but really, it wasn't because of how sudden it was, but rather that she had forgotten all about the fact that they still had classes going on around her. Her arm had stopped bothering her when she had stopped paying attention to it... A slight attempt at flexing it showed that it was still a too sore to take the ice off, and the faint throb afterwards made her wish she was still ignoring it.
She brought her focus back to smile at Suguru, who had agreed about heading their separate ways, as well as to meet at the fountain when school was out. Now that Max had mentioned it, yes, she did recall meeting there often enough in the past week or so. "See you, Suguru," she said in response as he smiled and waved goodbye. She would have returned the favor if not for obvious reasons, but she hoped the smile was enough.
"He seems nice, don't you think?" she asked offhandedly as Suguru walked down the hall towards his class. She then turned more towards Max, smiling brightly. "Alright, Max, like you said, we should head in too." They had practically been in front of the doorway the entire time. She hoped the teacher hadn't noticed. "Thanks again for carrying my books..."

Max wasn't sure what had come over him. All he knew was that he wanted this Suguru fellow as far away as possible at the moment. So he was relieved whenever Suguru turned to go on his own way.
Then there was the matter of Sarah. He knew she had observed everything that passed between the three of them with particular interest - nothing was a secret from her. It had been an extremely bad stroke of luck that this all had to transpire in front of their classroom when her seat was so perfectly positioned to view out the door's window.
"Uhm, yeah he does." Max replied, a little distracted. In truth, Max was quite certain some sort of game involving Emily had just been started between him and Suguru, but how could he know? In any case, he wasn't too keen on the idea of playing around for Emily, he'd rather she just choose for herself...but a cynical part of him secretly hoped that she choose either him, or neither one of them. As long as Suguru didn't win.
"No problem about the books." He said, his voice normal once more as he smiled and reached for the door handle, rifling through the books for the pass for the two of them. "Let's go, at least we killed most of class in the hallway." He grinned and held the door open for her.

[Operation bring Wobin back: success! Next phase, get to the end of this period and get Sango and Seto back as well! *triumphant fist in the air*]
Emily couldn't help but glance back at Max, having turned towards the door as she had finished speaking. He had responded to her offhanded comment, but he seemed really distracted for some reason. She couldn't tell where his own gaze was, so she didn't know what it was that suddenly had his interest, but it was gone quick enough as he turned back to her with a smile. She smiled in return as he held the door open for her, books still in hand, now with a pass on top. Since he had that aspect taken care of, and since he was obviously waiting for her to enter first, she nodded slightly and walked into the room.
Obviously, the teacher wanted to know why they were late. It seemed that the mere fact that she had a bag of ice wasn't good enough, but she didn't want to take up any more of the class time - though she suspected the rest of the class would probably appreciate it if she did. "I'm sorry we're late...I fell down the stairs between passing. Max helped me to the nurse, and it took a bit longer than I thought it would. We...have a pass though." She glanced back to Max as she mentioned that last bit, giving him the opportunity to hand it off to the teacher so they could both head to their seats.

((haha! <3 ))
Max stayed at the door for an extra second to make sure it didn't crash. He hated the loud bang it made. Walking over to the teacher as Emily explained, he allowed his eyes to look around at the class. They were anxious to get out, in truth the two of them had managed to get out of a lot of the period. They should have just skipped that period. Max did not like chemistry.
"Pass?" The teacher asked, fixing his gaze on Max. In truth, he was a pretty chill guy, as long as you followed his rules. So Max knew as he passed the green slip of paper over that him and Emily were off the hook and wouldn't be hassled. As long as the teacher didn't find out they took the long way to get there and had chatted in the hallway to avoid class.

[[Er... sorry about that. I've been grounded.]]
Sarah heard a door shut and awoke from her daydream. She shook her head from side to side slowly, trying to clear her thoughts. She really needed to focus and stop spacing out. Her grades were slipping a bit as it was, and she had to pass in order to play basketball. She stopped the thought right there before she could start spacing out again. She saw two of the kids she was observing, Max and Emily, walking to their seats. She grinned evilly at Max; there was no way she wouldn't be dishing all she knew to James. She reached in her purse, but remembered her phone had been taken up. She'd have to tell James in person and try to get her phone back in the meanwhile. Oh well. She really had to get back to work.

Once Max handed the pass over to the teacher, who inspected it to make sure it was legal and finally nodded - though perhaps a bit reluctantly? Had he been hoping to catch them doing something? - Emily silently began to walk towards her seat. Despite the fact that she had practically skipped most of the class - yes, there was a halfway legit excuse, but still, the thought was there - she still didn't want to disrupt the rest of it any longer than she had to. It was a bit awkward maneuvering through the aisle while trying not to jar her arm against anyone already in their seats, but she managed it without taking too much longer than she would normally, not noticing Sarah's expression towards Max in her concentrating state. Sliding carefully into her seat, she glanced up at Max, who still had a hold on her books, and smiled thankfully at him once again.
[Woooobin!]
