fallen angel914 Sasuke_Needs_To_Die My band has had at least the maximum of 5 in all the years I've played, and I've been playing for 7 years. I think that's horrible! crying There should be more flutes and definently guys who play flutes because a flute is not a sissy instrument. domokun we have thirteen and we have a guy that plays flute too ur right, guys should so play flute. the 2 guys i know who play flute r 2 of the few coolest people i've meet.

Hi. I'm a Flutist (or is it Floutist?) and there are only 4 (including me) in out (small) symphonic band. 2 of them are guys though....So >> I have no Idea of what you mean when you say guys need to play the flute. I know at least 3.

5 flutes begining band(including me) and 4 flutes in concert band

Our senior concert band has 12, and the Lower concert band has a further 7..

There are 8 in our school total.
Last year we had like 12 but a lot went to high school and 1 quit.
The one that quit was a guy but he sucked so yeah

In my band there is around 45 flutes for marching band.
And in concert band there are around 25-30 flutes and the rest are in the 2 upper bands. There is less than 300 people total in band but that will probably change due to there being a trip for this coming year for our band/orchestra.

There are a few hundred or so in my JUNIOR HIGH BAND and we have 11 flutes in my band I'm first chair blaugh (There are 4 bands in our school) Total, there are more than 20 in our school.

Uh. There was one in my high school band, and that was me. sweatdrop
I'm not sure how many are in my college band yet... I think around 9 or 10.

I think there were 5-10 flutes at marching practice yesterday, and besides my friend, there was one other guy. He was happy he's not the only guy. xd

Probably about 13 flutes in band...only one guy though. Then we have 6 in orchestra and 4 in jazz band.

With the whole band all together we have about 18 or more so flutes, last year we had 25 or more, lol. but most of them were seniors. We only have 1 guy flute, and i dont know if hes gonna stay in band, one flute is now the new Drum major, and a few more are quitting. also, the band directors thought it would be 'better' for the band if we had tryouts for the marching season, so probably when marching season starts we'll be down to about 8 flutes...ugh. maybe less..

Overall, we have 18 flutes.
In Symphonic band we only have 7, and in concert band there is 11.
and only 1 guy flute player haha
